"we stumbled on the derby arms purely by chance. Although a little bit away from the beaten, we are so glad we did. as a land pub/restaurant it was exceptional. the food was excellent, with regard to fresh, quality and taste, it could simply not be beaten. Although the menus are more bent towards seafood, there were many other dishes. portion sizes were great and the service was of the highest level. very attentive staff and our experience could not have been better. we were for the night over and the rooms were comfortable, decorated to a high standard with any amenity they could ask. beautiful rooms too. the breakfast next morning was delicious with many different options. as we stayed on a Saturday night, I would recommend booking a table in the restaurant because it was so busy. all in all quite error-free, they keep the excellent work and we look forward to the return."
