My husband and I just love this pub. We combine a dog walk from the top park with food and drink. The fires are always lit and the pub is welcoming. The hasselback butternut squash from their festive menu is outstanding. Delicious ingredients, flavours and textures, wow. View menu

We stayed in the derby arms a few weeks ago, and I must say, I was very impressed. The room was beautiful, the staff were attentive and the food was superb, I highly recommend the watercress omelette for breakfast. After returning to London, I felt very refreshed, and would honestly and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, and its restaurant. Rooms: 5

I went to this restaurant for dinner. The starters were good. My partner's main course was just okay. Unfortunately, my main dish was terrible and I couldn't even eat it. The prices are too high considering the quality of the food. The wine was good but also overpriced. The service was slow and not very attentive. The pub itself is beautiful, but I wouldn't go back again.

I went to the Santa brunch with my two grandchildren, ages 6 and 11, today, and I just have to say that we had a fantastic time. The food was plentiful and incredibly delicious, and the visit to Santa by the traditional fireplace was very well executed. The children received gifts and there was a festive atmosphere. All of the staff were courteous and took great care of us. I highly recommend this experience. View menu

Great meal, just need to ring to table all of the order (bread missing from mussels), was asked if I wanted my beef pink but came over done (why ask)? Over all the mussels were tasty plentiful, the crab pate was enjoyed by my partner, the two roast dinners were huge well received (although no apple sauce on premises to go with roast pork)! Roast dinners a little above what we would normally pay, and another £6 for cauliflower cheese was a bit steep! But over all we enjoyed will be back. Thank you

Love the location however we were seated on a table that was directly in front of the specials board. So whilst we were trying to have conversation we kept getting interrupted by 10+ (we stopped counting at 10) people wanting to take a picture or stand there and read the specials board. One lady got so close to us i thought she was going to sit and join us for dinner. I suggest the specials board is moved to a better location. We did ask to be moved to another table and the waitress was very accommodating. Food was ok but not brillant considering the price.

Went for a family meal. It was completely ruined by the service and lack of normal items on the menu. There were more flies than people, and throughout the entire meal, we were hassled by these insects. The atmosphere was drear sort of like a funeral parlour. The food was extremely expensive and of poor quality, if uou want substandard food service, this is the place for you. I wouldn 't feed my dog the pig swill from this establishment not suitable for human consumption, my family came down with diarrhoea and vomiting an hour after leaving this establishment, coincidence I think not. Don 't waste your money on sub standard pig swill. We won 't be eating here again! Food drinks: Terrible View menu
