"Food was fantastic…. Service appalling, to begin with they forgot my potatoes, fine it happens. Ordered a dessert to share chocolate torte however we were served with Eton Mess told the waitress it was not what we ordered so she walked away only to reappear with the same dessert saying this is what I ordered…no way I don’t even like Eton mess … I then witnessed a congregation of staff showing their support disapproval of what had to happened to their colleague at this stage I was quietly feeling awkward embarrassed. Eventually receiving the dessert we ordered I couldn’t enjoy it went to the bar to complain to the ….who appeared to be the manager, she straight away jumped to her staffs defence saying that they apologised for what had happened that there were 2 sides of the story to be heard !! I asked for the bill after looking at the bill noticed I had been charged for 2 items that I hadn’t ordered, again on approaching the apparent manager was again made to feel it was my fault that I hadn’t checked the bill !! I am absolutely fuming , not even about the errors but how I was made to feel. This was a treat for myself my husband who has Parkinson’s Parkinson’s related dementia so these outings are few far between a rare treat turned into frustration of very, very bad contrived customer service"

"from both of us I found eating at elenas to be totally acceptable, but the price-performance ratio is a bit ho-hum. the photos of the stars that decorate the walls gives him a certain charm, but the bright lighting makes nothing for the shaded color job that lurking behind the mugs, and I felt, giving the place a caffe feeling. Some candles and somewhat lower lighting could go the inner further. I think the attention to small details makes customers appreciate. for example, why not use stainless steel eis eimer instead of plastic, which I enjoyed the chicken liver parfait, served with roasted brioche and chutney. so good. "Dropped in to Dine Thyme for a quick mocha but ended up talking to the owner for ages. He’s so knowledgeable about Edinburgh and best places to eat. Cafe is lovely with beautiful hanging baskets outside that are very well taken care of. Sat outside at a street table and noticed how busy it was with locals and deliveries so it’s very popular! Would definitely recommend and looking forward to dropping in again for a sandwich."

"my daughter was married here at the weekend and nr. 4 the village was an absolutely wonderful environment. the staff (very much to be friends, very fast) was amazingly welcoming and nothing was too much annoyed for them. they were incredibly courteous, extremely professional and quietly efficient, without ever appearing to be quite a **** to lift off. eating was excellent, with all the time for perfection of the device for the ceremony itself, changing everything quickly for the recipe meal, while the high-time photos made out. only a phenomenal day with beautiful love to detail. I couldn't talk about all the involved anymore and thanks go to everyone."

"I was worried about eating at the pub because of the bad reviews, but thought I give it a go. We ate there on the Friday and Saturday night as we were staying at the campsite and couldn’t be bothered to cook ourselves. The staff were very friendly and the pub has a nice atmosphere. Sadly the food lets it down. My son had the steak both nights and complained that the chips weren’t cooked enough both times, the steak was nice on the Friday but not so good on the Saturday. I had fish and chips on the Friday, which was ok, I had the lamb on the Saturday which was just alright . My other son had the burger which he said the cheese wasn’t very nice. My wife had the tartlet which was burnt around the edges and tasteless. I liked the campsite, but I won’t be rushing back to eat at the pub."

"great burger, pommes, donuts die. beautiful ambiente, staff very helpful, polite and served us well. the burgers are fantastic. my friends and I thought that was just for the delivery, but we saw some people at tables, so we went in. what a great surprise! open kitchen, all fresh food. great place to eat in bury st edmunds."

"We arrived at 7.30 and the place empty except for 2 other tables. The restaurant was freezing and both my girlfriend and I had to keep our jackets on. We asked if they could turn the heating up a bit but they said that it was on full and wouldn't warms up due to a door being opened! We ordered some olives and bread to start, this was just the beginning to a disappointing meal, they were old and tasted like they had been left in the fridge next to some meat. After this we had mussels and salt and pepper squid. These came suspiciously quickly. The mussels at best were on the cold side of warm. I believed I had ordered squid but infact i had ordered rubber bands. They were so hard and also cold! At this point we decided to leave, only paying for the bread and a glass of wine. This was such a disappointing meal and If you are thinking of going there then i would give it a miss!"

Almost to the point where we were beginning to think they didn't actually want to charge us for the terrible service."
