Beautiful wine list, with lots of choices and fantastic help from the sommelier. And then there’s the general buzz, load music that makes you want to wine in your chair it was an amazing night"

"I attended an event here in July. I have since received a county court letter before claim for parking in the FREE car park. the website states nothing about the parking accept that the car park is free and there was nothing clear to me at the car park itself or inside on attending the event to say that the free car park was somehow being used as a money making scheme for a parking firm. I would not go to this hotel again, only to be aggressively pursued by a third party parking company for months afterwards."

"had a great time! eating was delicious, service was great, and the prices were amazing! quality is sacrificed in none of the courts, which is my concern when I see low prices. I went on a Friday night, with a few friends and it was the perfect place. my friend ordered the Saki-Sauer and I was mildly jealous because it was so good! but I had the Jai-alai ipa for $4, so I couldn't complain. Although the selection of beer and cocktails is not endless, the few that they really have good. concerning food, we started with the mouthwater cheese and spinach puffs. it is hard to put in cake, how amazing the spinat poofs were, the taste was improved with each bite. I secretly hoped that I was the only one who liked her, unfortunately I was not and had to share it. we were also surprised with a free dish from the cook, and it was the pork bell! it was tantalizing, we had to stop from ordering another dish because we had not yet received our escapes. what I had the cale salad, deliciously light and refreshing. my friends had the roasted buck tomatensalat, who looked amazing, and my other friend had the crispy snapper, everything was really great! definitely coming back soon!"

"As a fairly regular Ukai customer I was very disappointed with my most recent visit. The service was stellar as usual but the food was terrible the worst I’ve ever had there. We ordered 2 lamb chops, one medium rare and one well done both of which came out looking pretty similarly cooked on a bed of dry wilted salad leaves which can’t have been wilted by the heat of the lamb chops because they were very cold. The sticky rice was warm and bland. The staff were very helpful and apologetic but after microwaving the lamb chops and bringing them back out they were just very dry and unimpressive. Although we were given a small discount at the end as this was birthday meal following me singing Ukai’s praises as one of my favourite bar/restaurants I was and still am very disappointed with my experience. We left feeling hungry after eating a meal and a starter. In addition to this we ordered a juice and one cocktail, which came to £95 with the discount seems pretty steep considering how little we actually ordered."

"The food and cocktails at this restaurant were delicious, but the waiter service was terrible. The waiters had poor knowledge of the menus and ingredients, and seemed unable to suggest suitable items with a smile. They had a slightly dismissive attitude, with the exception of one waiter who helped us with some elements of our order. Surprisingly, the carpets were quite worn and had threads coming loose in some places. The venue was not as upscale as we had expected. Although I enjoyed the food and cocktails, I can't see myself returning due to the lackluster service experience. Kudos to the chefs for their tasty creations."
