"This was my second time at Cinnamon Kitchen. Maybe I didn’t notice this the first time because a male in our group took care of the ordering and paying. But this time, I saw a very different thing. I was taking my husband as I wanted him to experience the place. I ordered the bottle of wine but the waiter very deliberately had “sir” do the tasting (rather than to ask which of us preferred to do so . Then when I requested the check, I was just told “no rush, just take your time. No check came and, in fact, the waiter refused to look our way. Finally I asked another waiter for the check. Our original waiter brought it, I used my card and paid and then the waiter very deliberately looked at my husband and said “thank you sir.” The food, fortunately, was as good as I remembered. Hopefully the waiters can be given a little course in gender equality."
