"We can fault nothing about our experience at Monteiths. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was really pleasant. But the stars of the show was the food...where do we start?! Starters: they were generous, incredibly flavoursome and really beautifully presented. This was the best smoked haddock I've ever eaten. And the haggis starter was wonderful. See photos Main courses: the pork belly was sublime and looked stunning. The sauce/jus that came with it had a depth of flavour that was outstanding. The venison with mushroom had a range of full-bodied flavours and was cooked to perfection. Desserts: we were ambitious to go for dessert was we were quite full, but couldn't resist tasting more of this amazing food. Lemon brulee looked so pretty but packed such a range of flavours.
