"Very welcoming upon arrival. Waiting staff excellent. First course arrived promptly them slight delay for our main course but this could be due to the fact we had a starter. Pudding arrived in very good time as did my coffee. Overall a pleasant dining experience and well done to the waiting staff who were busy. One point of note that people were being turned away so suggest you book in advance which is very quick and easy on the app so you will not be turned away."

"First time to go out for a meal for over a year, had a lovely meal and really enjoyed. The service was great and everything went smoothly even with the new way of doing things because of the pandemic. "We were really very disappointed, one meal didn't turn up , one meal was burnt and the other 2 meals were cold. The staff did take money off our bill, but it ruined what was supposed to be a nice family evening, The restaurant also had a lot of loud drunk customers which I found intimidating especially with having my children with me, and it was only early afternoon we booked our table. Definitely will not be returning, which is a shame as we have always enjoyed past visits at the restaurant. Annette"

"the waitress was beautiful as if she was always and the majority of food ok- but I had only 2 pieces in my chicken teeth and I had the steak sandwich- there were more tomato slices than steak and the steak was like harder rubber for medium-it was charcoal and could not even cut it with the steak knife, let alone my teeth. has not complained since our waitress was not so enthusiastic about answering this question. katsu curry pretty tepid but for a child so let her be it. as eating in the usually well kidnapped!"

"Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, and the waitress quickly came to take our order. We received our salads, and before we even had a chance to start eating, our appetizers arrived—perhaps a bit too quickly. Aside from that, the food was excellent. I ordered dessert without cream, but it came with cream. The waitress was very apologetic and swiftly brought us new desserts. Overall, we were really pleased with our visit today."

"good food. the service was a bit down, although it was like we made a mistake by going there. we booked the festive menu, but that was not in the offer when we went. the restaurant has also changed our original booking. the personal seemed overworked, we were told about personal lack and that could be the reason. but the roughness of the place damped the experience."

"Visited the Spyglass for my birthday meal. Our server, Terry, was just the right person for the job. Very friendly willing to have a joke and very pleasant. We arrived at 18.00 and all was well, then at 18.30 a party of 16 arrived and from then on service was slowed dramatically. Terry was also had a lot of tables of 4 or 6 to serve. He did his very best but he was obviously slowed by this big party, so our meal took longer than it should have. He was very proffessional and just dealt with everyone methodically and calmly. Full marks to him for a great job."

"Every time I walk on the carpet, it feels dirty. Perhaps it's time to install wooden flooring? Our table was also sticky. We were seated with other families with children, which I assume was to not disturb those without kids. I ordered the ribeye steak well done, but it came slightly red in the middle. For £22.00, I expected a higher quality piece of meat, but I could have bought a better steak from the supermarket and cooked it myself. It was definitely not worth the price. It seems like Harvester is cutting corners and making a large profit by serving the bare minimum with their meals."

"the restaurant was busy, but as we had booked, we had no problem. others who had not booked were turned away (very polite.) all employees were very good and it was great to see that the place was really good and efficient. the food was all good and also good value, even better value for us as we have a harvester 50% discount on the offer. my only criticism (and this applies to too many places in these days) is that there is no drowned beer (real ale.)"

"I ordered a steak that was undercooked, so I sent it back to be cooked a bit more. When it returned, it was still dripping with blood. I’ll have to wait days to get it right. The salad needed more dressing, but the staff member who helped us seemed really unhappy to be there. They roughly dropped the salad bowls at the bar and walked away in a huff. We hadn't received the salad bowls until we asked, which made our meal cold while we waited for them."

"The waitress had no idea how to serve. She came up with our main coursewhilst two of us were still eating starters. She wanted to leave it on the table but we insisted she return it to the Kitchen until we were ready. Never had such bad service. We were seated to the left as you enter the restaurant, haven't day there before. The staff on the other side are excellent, can't speak have they enough!!"

"The restaurant was good and very clean. The service was good to start, but then the bus driver got it, the longer we had to wait for the table to get deleted and then our puddings never came until we said we had to go because we were on the parking lot. Such a shame as my son's birthday meal. Waitress very attentive and was not her fault, but not sure we're going back. Quality of food very good"

"I had an excellent lunch at this restaurant. I had mentioned in advance that I preferred a quiet setting as I was dining with a friend who has Asperger's. The staff were very accommodating, seating us in a suitable area and my friend had no issues with the service. Although my friend had dined there before and was familiar with some of the staff, it had been a while since I had joined him. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxed dining experience with excellent food."

"I had the chicken skewer. I found it under done so had it cooked some more. It was not cooked as I was expecting, I thought skewers would be cooked on the chargrill but it was cooked in a salamander, so the skin was soggy and as the pieces were over 1 inch thick it looked underdone. When it was returned it was edible, but feel that a bill of £45 was very expensive for something I did not enjoy. I shall not be visiting a harvester anytime soon. Sadly I shall be expressing my views to friends as well."

"Upon arriving, we found out, we were down the dungeon about three flights of stairs in a little room for 11th of us freezing cold to start with they had him a little fan heater on the floor we blocked the fire X it went and asked the lady at the front if we could be moved she said she would see the manager but never got back to us as most of my party was over 65 and up to 90 it was a bit much walking up and down the stairs to get the food from the salad bar When the food came to them were cold, so they took him back and to be fair, they sorted the problem out quickly"

"The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious and the service at our table was quick, efficient, and friendly. It seemed like other diners were also enjoying their meals. However, I was a bit disappointed with the welcome we received when we arrived and were seated. We had to wait for about 10 minutes before someone finally acknowledged us and showed us to our table. There was no one specifically designated to greet guests, and we only received assistance after I had to actively seek out attention, despite being ignored by four different staff members."

"There was a lack of salad options at the salad bar, with no bread rolls or salad sauces available at 7pm. When we inquired about it, we were told that they had run out. Unfortunately, the onion rings that came with our steaks were burnt to the point where they disintegrated when touched with a fork. Despite this uncommon experience, I have been a patron of this restaurant for many years and will still continue to dine here. I simply wanted to share this disappointing incident."
