"We ordered food from here tonight as a treat for my wife on her birthday. Got the email telling us that the order had been received but nothing else. After nearly two hours we called and were treated like we are scum and had the most unhelpful person ever. So no food, over forty pounds down and a very upset wife. If you can't work with your online system, you need to scrap it"

"Back in my 'day ' (the late 80 's, 90 's and early 2k), Blackwood Rd had the usual town/village shops. Walks to school including a stop at Taylors News for sweets, chippy tea, hair cut, pharmaceutical support... Roll on 30 years later, and something that could have come a lot lot sooner (when I was walking the streets, on my way home after a night out at the local public houses when turning '18 ' in the late 90 's) there is a restaurant. An indian restaurant. Visiting parents, as now live in Lincolnshire, and they took me here... Service; fantastic, very personal, great conversation. Location; 'hidden ' away, and parking could be an issue if early doors. Drinks; unlicensed, so BYOB. Wine for me. Food; when 'testing ' an Indian restaurant I will always go with the chefs/restaurants 'own ' Jalfrazi. If its good, I know the rest of the menu will be good. Lots of experience here . No complaints from parents, nor myself. Price; absolutely spot on for portion size. Lamb Tikka Sylheti Jalfrazi. Not over powered with chilli, just a nice warmth on the back of the tongue, perfection. As well as the starters, all was beautiful. Highly recommended, and parents say take out/delivery is spot on too. Those that know me, you know I like my curry. If i say its good, its very good. "we recommend everything here! despite a busy Tuesday night after bank holiday, the quality and speed of the service was error-free and fast, friendly and detailed. the menu options completely new and different from other Indian restaurants. that should die! my lamb slept and the sauce was delicious. the bun of my manne was a ktikka and butter sauce mix, sweet and just as delicious. and to crown everything, free double pots vanilleeis, with chocolate sauce shattered. absolutely fantastic! 5 stars are not enough: 6 stars for spice! we are coming back in definitiw! This place is well worth the good feedback, the food was great and the prices are very reasonable considering the location. They seem to have had a refurb since some of the pics on here were posted and it looks really smart inside. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a decent curry in the area."

"Food was great but I ordered at 5.54 and the food was due at 7.20. So hour and a half wait, but the food didn’t arrive until 8.05pm. Rang the restaurant at 7.35pm to see where it was and the guy said 5 minutes. 20 minutes later food hadn’t arrived so I logged that it was late and had a text to say it was delayed until 8.05pm called again and the guy was rude, he again said 5 minutes so I mentioned the text I had received and he said that JustEat randomly send those texts and don’t have any idea on time scales. Food arrived at 8.05pm as per the text message so I asked for a refund. I received £3 back, which isn’t good enough as I had waited overs two hours since ordering. I wouldn’t have minded if the restaurant was honest when I called as I could have collected my order. The driver dumped the food on my doorstep and glared at me as I had requested a refund minutes before it arrived. Food was lovely but the service has put me off."

"never had a bad one. always eat wonderful! we ordered very regularly during the shutdown. eating always comes hot and fresh and is delivered on time. our favourite dishes are tarka dansak (cut in nots) and say poneer with...runny cheese. the madras is excellent and tikka dishes always delicious. I also love the naga huh, but it's hot! the young in hasina also excellent ... it's still open to the business. the restaurant in the time renovated to open for mai highly recommended and I am very fussy!"

"After using cinnamon spice for many years, last nights service was appalling. 4 hour wait for a curry ordered at 6pm via their website paid for in advance. Many calls during the evening and reassurance given even at 7.30pm informed it was being cooked clearly incorrect misleading information. After an evening of multiple calls to the restaurant having the phone just ringing out, calls cancelled and text messages unanswered I did speak to the restaurant at 10pm they still were giving excuses the curry was being cooked totally unacceptable. A family evening spoilt without even the courtesy to call us and inform us of a 4 hour delay. I dread to think of people who ordered after 6pm when or if their food arrived or was it just ours that was forgotten. The restaurant should not accept orders they cannot deliver in a timely manner and if a delay is above the informed time of delivery the customer should be informed at least then giving us the option of sourcing the families evening meal elsewhere. We are still awaiting a refund which was not processed last night as promised, again very disappointing when the money is taken out if the bank immediately refunds should also be prompt. A family evening ruined by incompetent organisation of a takeaway service which surely was anticipated to be busy, even more disappointing as the food us usually very good but significantly let down by the operational management."

"I am from out of town, staying on business. Great side dish but terrible main. Considering its was a Chefs Special, lumps of over cooked chicken in a bland sauce. Absolute rip off. However Staff were quick to replace with my request of a small chicken tikka but still got charged with the main and then asked for a tip. If you are serving this quality food on a Thursday night as your main course for the price you are charging, you have a lot of ground to make up. This place seems to be on the thin end of the wedge. I would not recommend."

"We were staying at a local hotel due to an emergency at home. So after a long day, we were ravenous. We found this little gem locally and decided to give it a go, and it was such a pleasure! It looked rather busy from the outside, however staff quickly seated us and provided us with popadoms and drinks rather promptly (we visited on a Monday at 8pm). The food was fantastic! Portion size was perfect, and everything tasted fresh and delicious! It was traditional Indian cuisine but without the tonnes of oil cheap takeaways usually send, and with great meat:sauce ratio. The service was fantastic, the gents were lovely and really made an effort with our fussy 4 year old. She managed more than her usual 4 mouthfuls and they kindly gave her a chocolate for the achievement. Our only complaint would be the drinks were quite pricey for what they were, £2.95 for a can of Coke, but other than that we couldn’t fault it. If we ever find ourselves in the local area again, we will happily return!"

"Bombay Flame is a nice Indian restaurant in the Kilburn area. Went there to find out if it had any of the 'Bombay ' flavors to it. Although the name says Bombay it had a variety of dishes from all over India covering Goa as well. I personally liked the Tandoori menu and relished the Tandoori Chicken. Pricewise it was reasonable. Overall a good idea to visit this place."

"I am usually lazy about writing reviews, however my experience was so average that I believe it’s worth taking time out to let others know of my experience. Me and my wife arrived at 7:20 on a Friday, from the outside it’s a grand building but made to look tacky and cheap by the multi coloured lights. As we entered the building we were greeted with beer kegs, hot plates, chutney trays and just storage area in general. We looked around and there was no one to greet us, we had to get back out to the street to look for a new entrance as we thought it might have been the staff entrance. Unfortunately it wasn’t, and it was very dark and dingy. Once seated we were waiting for our friends to join us, so we had a quick scan of the place. Inside was also very grand, however you had electrical cupboard doors left open, hotplates all over the place and carpets that haven’t been changed over 30 years. This is definitely not the place if you want the romantic setting for an anniversary or a special occasion. There were 3 servers, and initially they were prompt with the drinks order. I must say the mango lassi was very good. However trying to get their attention after this initial interaction was pretty impossible. Once the menu was handed to us, it was falling apart and had curry stains on it. The tamarind sauce for the poppadoms were nice and different, however they didn’t even wait for us to finish the poppadoms before bringing the starters out. Once the starters were done, we left the plates and cutlery on the for the servers to clean but after 30 min it was still there, I called all 3 servers individually over to ask them to take it away but non of them did. The toilet had a foul smell of urine, really unclean and didn’t look like it was cleaned for weeks. So much so told my wife not to go and use it as she would be disgusted by it. The mains were very plain, my karai was very bland and my wife’s sag prawn was the worst we ever tried in an Indian restaurant. It feels like the chefs/ owners don’t have quality control or passion for food. I’m very critical as I have worked in an Indian restaurant for many years and it’s not hard to keep on top of all the things I have mentioned. But this place doesn’t care and is just interested in serving mediocre food to its customers."

"A real gem above Bearwood high street. This wasn't our first visit and certainly won't be our last. Always good friendly and quick service. On this occasion there was a pretty large group at one end and as we were being sat down we were asked if we minded the noise or wanted to sit away from them. We opted for near them as there is nothing wrong with people having fun, just was nice the waiter had considered us. Food as expected absolutely delicious and very generous portions. We order two starters, a rice, nann bread and one curry dish between two and it is more than enough. Price is very reasonable too. Looking forward to our next date night."

"Nepalese is a type of food I hadn't had before, but after having a Nepalese Lamb starter and two main dishes, at Rara, I'll be looking forward to having it again. We also had lamb as one of our mains, and saag paneer, which were both very good. The starter bordered on being too spicy, but stayed just within bounds for me. When the owner came to check on us, he may have judged our slow progress with the starter as a statement about the spiciness, and the second two dishes had no spice at all. So, when you go, I'd suggest specifying your pepper desires, which by all accounts they will be more than happy to satisfy. For whatever reason, when it came time for the our left-over boxes to be handed off, we were gifted a carton of fruit juice in our to-go bag?! Strange, but always welcome. Then when our transaction was completed, we were given four small bottles of Amarulo! Maybe they thought we were someone else, but I love Amarulo, so, again, very nice addition to a marvelous and relaxing meal sitting outside next to a quiet street scene in the middle of a neighborhood. Loved it."
