"Amazing little place. Really cool vibe in a very simple setting. They've obviously concentrated efforts and fund on excellent coffee kit and the results really reflect that. One of the best espressos I've had this year, smooth, chicolately, great mouth feel. We sat in with the dog which was really nice. Felt welcome and well accommodated. The place was steadily busy but felt relaxed. Hope I get to come back soon!!"

"When we arrived there was no staff around so we waited and after 20 minute mutes I had to go to the bar where I was told she was very busy and would get to us which she did 10 minutes later. We sat in the bar to have a drink but 30 minutes later I had to go to look for a member of staff. There were none in the restaurant. Back to the bar! A gentleman there said he would go to look for someone! Eventually we were shown to a table and our afternoon tea was delivered 10 mins mutes later. Whilst we enjoyed our tea 3 members of staff were moving tables and chairs all around us. An hour later once again I had to go to the bar to ask for our bill! Very unsatisfactory. Whilst we enjoyed the food the service was appalling."

"Bit empty at 8pm which made the slow service surprising but there were a lot of deliveroo guys coming in and out which might explain that. The menu is quite limited given it says it offers the best of Latin American food but only actually offers tacos, burritos and burgers ? . Basically Basically it's OK Mexican but not amazing. A good spot for relaxed eating, drinking in a big group but the food at Comensal not far away is much better."

"What a hidden gem this restaurant is, tucked away in a not-so-great area in the heart of Stratford. The welcome, service, and food were truly outstanding. Katy and her staff are attentive and friendly hosts. I tried the duck, which was perfectly cooked (still pink inside) and was the best dish I've had in a restaurant in years. We were informed that our meals would take some time since everything is made from scratch—which we could definitely tell—and we were pleasantly surprised by complimentary nibbles while we waited. My friends had lamb and sea bream, and they loved their meals as well. It’s unfortunate that Prospero had full bookings but many people didn’t show up or canceled. This restaurant truly deserves a place among the top dining spots in Stratford."

"This is a great independent restaurant in a town full of the same old boring chain names. The menu choices were just right and the food was excellent. The staff were very nice and looked after us very well. Had a chat with Andrew the Chef at the end of the evening and wish him all the best. The Scullery is now our go to restaurant in Stratford."
