"I went here for dinner and had the most amazing butter beans. They were served in a spicy tomato sauce that was full of flavour. It came with 3 salads. I chose the smart salad, the tomato salad, and the green bean salad. Every was flavoured beautifully and the portions were large. I'm tired of vegan junk food and deep fried satan. It is so nice to find a place that does vegan food right. Beautifully marinated vegetables and salads, and flavorful beans for protein, with no fake meats in sight. This place celebrates the joy of eating vegetables."

"Very tasty butter chicken and excellent samosas!! Had ordered a takeaway on deliveroo. Butter chicken is definitely one of the best in London. First bite transfers you straight down the memory lane to any top North Indian restaurant or famous dhabas. Sauce gravy was excellent but the chicken not very fresh. The kheema naan okish. No wow factor. But very palatable. Garlic naan was a bit chewy, but then again was in takeaway so will try another time fresh at the restaurant. Dal makhani was a bit of disappointment. Was strangely sour. And not buttery and creamy as it should be. The steamed rice was very dry and a bit under cooked. May be given the benefit of doubt that was in a takeaway container. Now coming to the samosa. Hands down one of the best you can get anywhere. Even better than some famous places in India. Excellent taste, fresh good seasoning nice authentic texture of the dough. And to top it all very good tamarind chutney. Highly recommend for good hearty Indian flavours. Their menu selection is excellent as goes with the drinks too! Would definitely recommend to friends and family! And will be coming soon to dine in!!"

"Superb food and excellent service spoilt only by the shouting and swearing from customers in the bar a few feet away. I was embarrassed for my wife who had to be constantly bombarded by a string of f-words throughout the meal. I realise that this is probably beyond your control but the close proximity of the bar to the restaurant with no intervening doorway suggests that this is probably a regular occurrence and not something I could recommend to friends. "The burger meal offer at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic, priced at £8. I opted to upgrade for a Budweiser for an extra £1, making the total cost £7. The bar is great and they have games consoles downstairs which adds to the overall experience. The only downside is that the retro games barrel needs some buttons fixing. Overall, the price per person ranges from £1 to £10, the food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5."

"We got there at 12.30 and after 30 mins we managed to get a drink. We managed to get a bench outside to sit at as I am disabled. My daughter went to queue up for chips and burgers for the children as we thought it would be the quickest and how wrong were we . 45 mins later and only 2 people serving we decided to call it a day. Everything looked dirty, the bouncy castle/train was unusable because it was full of water , moss and leaves. They advertised it and didn’t even clean it, it was disgusting.The so called farm was just a few dirty enclosures with not much grass and a few chicken , and sheep in. We left after not being able to get food for ages and went into Maidstone to get something. Never will we go back there as there was just a lack of staff. 2 cooking food and taking money and 2 people serving in the bar. I was in the trade for 25 years and you always get extra staff when you have some kind of function on."

"Lovely traditional village pub. Very welcoming but sadly the bar man could have done with another pair of hands. We waited nearly an hour for our meals to arrive which they said was because the pie we ordered needed half an hour in the oven from the time they received the order. Obviously a delay in getting the order through to the kitchen. However when the meal finally arrived it was delicious and the barman deducted our drinks from the bill to compensate for the wait. Can't ask fairer than that."

"This is the second time we've visited the Standard. The first time was lovely so we took different friends again. Second visit not so enjoyable. The food is good, no complaints there and the service is also good. But they have a bar which is in the same area as the table for dining. There is also some couches in the window for people to sit and drink. There was a large party of very noisy women standing at the bar. They did not eat. The music was extremely loud. The door kept getting left open by customers and one of us had to keep getting up and closing it, the staff didn't seem to notice. Perhaps get a self closing returner on the door? Our table was right next to the bar (the only other tables that seated 4 were by the toilets! . The room is very dark, but the waitress was very accommodating and turned the lights up for us so we could see the menu! We seemed to be the only people all night who were actually eating. It was extremely difficult to have a conversation and we were shouting at each other all evening which was not very relaxing. I think The Standard need to decide whether they want to be a bar with loud music and drinking, or a restaurant, but it is too small to be both. It is probably fine for a lunch time meal but not the evening. Suffice to say we won't be returning on a Saturday night, which is a shame because the food is really good."

"it had been some paintings to the wro, but in this opportunity the waitress that showed us first on the table and the majority of our seemed very heavy and inefficient. they did not seem to know which tables were available to us. my sister chose the hamburger, but said the meat tasted unpleasant. the answer of our waitress was: "I hope they will come next time, it is better for them. what we found to be very strange."

"30/07/2022 This place goes by at least 3 different names, ‘Say Queso’ on Google, ‘Papi Taco’ on the take-out apps and ‘Desperados’ in person. Overall the food was extremely disappointing and the pictures on the apps incredibly misleading. Firstly, the tacos. Admittedly, they do not specifically say hard or soft shell, but what came was essentially bland slop in a wrap. They did not give us any of the sauces that we paid for, either on the tacos or separately. So there was no saving grace there. Secondly, the Nachos. We have no idea what kind of sauce was on this but it was very strange. I won’t say it was bad as that seems to be more of a matter of opinion. However, it was simply soaked in this sauce, with a bit of cheddar sprinkled over it and nothing else. Thirdly, the quesadillas. We went with plain cheese and it was still terrible. How do you mess up cheese wrap heat? I will say, it was delivered very quickly and the curly fries were decent. Overall, I’d recommend avoiding this place."

"This is a lovely restaurant. I had a nice birthday meal there. However, no one came to take our drinks order. We had to go to the bar which broke up the group at various points during the meal. No one came to ask how the meal was. We were given our food and left alone basically. The food was nice and if we weren't in a large group we may have had more service. However, the staff weren't particularly attentive."

"I have visited several lounge cafes/bars, and I must say that this particular one is my favorite. The menu offers a great variety of meals at different times, with the option of tapas as well. The food always seems fresh and well-prepared, and the staff is very friendly. I have tried many dishes and have never been disappointed. This establishment, known as Faro Lounge, always has a lively atmosphere but can also feel cozy when you find the right table. It is definitely worth a visit, especially for the reasonable prices considering the quality of the food."
