"We stopped in here on a whim for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is a casual and cosy vibe and the food was wonderful. We were a little unsure of what to try, so asked for some recommendations from the waiter who was very helpful and made excellent choices. This excluded the buttered chicken as that was my partner's own choice. It was very nice if you like that dish but paled in comparison to the rich flavours in the other dishes. The only down side was that we were pressed for time and was unsure if we had time for dessert. The waiter gave a very poor estimation of their arrival which left us rushing to eat and exit to make our reservation. Overall though I would definitely go again, the food was delicious and definitely worth a try for a modern take on Indian cuisine."

"This restaurant is fantastic. It's the best curry I've had in a long time, and I love the staff here. They really go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I can't wait to come back."

"Foods nice. Everything else was kinda odd. The tables are basically right next to each other you will be dining with whoever sits next to you and you won’t be able to hear your partner. The tables are also *tiny*. I’ve actually never had dinner on such a tiny table. We’re talking a table that is too small for two main meals and a drink! I’ve never experienced that before. Speaking of drink we ordered a pina colada. I actually don’t think it had any alcohol in! I know that makes me sound like an alcoholic but we’re really not I just think it was silently alcohol free! The service is fine but they clearly want you out as quick as possible. Waiters do their job though. I think they’ve just cut corners everywhere to be honest. The food is nice but everything else just feels like they’re trying to “away with it”."

"We had this for a takeaway and I will honestly say it was one of the worst experiences I have had.I had the Green Curry, which supposedly should be spicy and full of garlics and various others, however it came cold and barely mixed together properly. Flavours were overpowered and honestly, it tasted rubbish. There was nowhere that it said rice might be required, but we anticipated that and had some made for ourselves. 100% include on your menu that rice is needed and/or not provided!!! The chicken was dry and there was hardly any of it.My partner had the Paneer, which was literally a few chunks of cheese with no flavour. I’ve never seen that be done so lazily in my life.Friend had bog standard noodles which were large in portion size but pretty much just slapped together and boxed up.The whole thing was just rubbish, especially as we paid about 36£!"

"This small, dimly lit and inconspicuous restaurant, which could easily be overlooked, has been dishing out delicious curries for the past three decades."

"A group of friendly women run this cozy vegetarian restaurant that does not serve alcohol. The menu offers a unique twist on traditional Indian dishes. The food was tasty, but it would have been better if served in properly insulated containers to keep it warm. They also have a nice variety of desserts that you can buy and take home with you."

"with immense pleasure I write this review about chaiwala. they live totally on the names of the restaurants. it is really far from our place like 2.6 miles, but we always go to the place as it is a pre eating excersia for us. it is a small place not too big, but only enough to give them the taste of their day! what should they try here if they eat non veg then they must try all the dag breakfast it is the best in the world and they can it in breakfast / midday / evening it is not too heavy or light. my classic is 'karachi bun kebab ' it is super tasty, they can 't resist. we came to tea, we tried almost everywhere to slough, but we just couldn't get the feeling of Indian tee until we tried here. that's just the heaven. we have seen how people also go for halwa puri, we are still trying not to mention that the staff is so helpful and recommend them really good eating after their taste. so long history short. visit here when they come by and enjoy the food and tee."

"Excellent food at a reasonable price. The dishes are familiar but with a refined and modern twist. The minced lamb and goat's cheese parcels a great example. The bhaji's were crunchy, the shamee kebabs succulent and moreish. Clearly this place is all about the balti and I wasn't disappointed, there were layers of flavours and the spicing had the right balance of sweetness and heat; the keema nan the perfect accompaniment, packed with succulent meat, delicious and a real treat. The whole place was busy all evening and I can see why, a little gem."

"No welcome on arrival, we had to ask three times if someone could take our order. We'd booked for 5.30 to allow time to eat before the Tuesday night football at the Valley. There were only three tables in bar ourselves at this point. It took nearly 1 1/2 hrs to get our mains, all the time the kitchen was prioritising Take Aways for Just Eat customers over restaurant diners. Other people were complaining about the wait around us. When our starters had come and someone came to the table to ask if everything was ok, he'd turned around and walked off before I could compliment him on the starters. They literally didnt give a toss, apart from their friends... To add insult to injury I'd just got up to ask about the wait on the food and a waiter proceeded to put a plate of fried chicken and a bowl of chips on a table in the corner behind us, there was no one sat at the table, until two lads arrived clearly their buddies and sat down to eat when we had been waiting over 45 minutes for our mains. The food arrived, my butter chicken consisted of huge chunks of dried out chicken in yoghurt with some spice mix, my friend's chicken biryani was cold, my peshwari naan was soo sweet as to be inedible. We left after 5 minutes of getting our mains having paid. Safe to say that's a disaster not to be repeated in the same place!"

"I had my first taste of butter chicken on my flight into London and it had been on my mind ever since. I was on a mission to try more Indian cuisine and I found Tuk Tuk as I was researching eateries. The reviews were great and was about a 10 15 minute walk from our hotel in Haymarket. We stopped in for an early dinner and were one of the few people in the restaurant. Their dishes are made to share and they recommend 3 plates per person to start and so we ordered a handful of different items that included rice, garlic naan, pakora, butter chicken, and a some curries. Oh my, that butter chicken totally hit the spot! I was in heaven! It was SO good with the perfect blend of spices. I thought it would have tasted even better if it were made with chicken thighs as the meat would 've been softer and more moist, but their take was still amazing. I also really enjoyed the garlic naan and sopping up the rest of the sauce with it. For dessert the gulab jamun with ice cream piqued my interest it sounded like nothing I 've ever had and they totally had me at 'milk dumpling. ' The dessert came out piping hot with a nice scoop of ice cream. Let me tell you, this was one of the most memorable desserts I had on our entire European trip. I love 'milk flavored ' sweets and this did not disappoint. The rose flavored sugar syrup did not overpower the milk dumpling and the ice cream balanced everything so well. We LOVED this meal so much that we went back the very next day! The second time it was much busier, much louder, which also resulted in slower service and longer wait times. However, it was worth every minute! Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food was one of my favorite meals on our Europe trip and I 'll cherish this memory as it was my first deep dive into Indian Cuisine. I highly recommend a stop here!"

"This restaurant has a strong sense of community and they are introducing a new vegan menu, which the man at the counter showed me over the phone. The food is flavorful and delicious, different from other Indian cuisine I have tried. We ordered Chana samosa (large portion for those who are hungry), papdi chat, vada pav, and samosa misal, and shared everything between the two of us. The total came to around £15 and we were satisfied with the portion size. I highly recommend this place. Please note that seating is limited, but we did not have any issues finding a seat and they also offer takeout."

"The dining experience exceeded our expectations. Despite some initial reviews giving us doubts, we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered steaks and grilled chicken, and the service was speedy and accommodating. Waqas took care of us, so we thank him for making our experience worth it. We will definitely return and recommend this new spot in Birmingham to everyone."

"eating was as amazing as the personal. friendly staff is really the basis for a good culinary experience and chai thali excellent. Our waitress had not only a smile on her face all the time, but she also had a great dread! She knew that most of us fast, so that she ensured that our eating arrived on time to break our fast. it helped that the food was delicious. everything in an exceptional culinary experience."

"I visited this restaurant to try the food and initially had a negative impression due to its small size. However, when the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. I have never had such delicious food in the UK before. Impressed, I hired them for my daughter's mehndi ceremony at a hotel in Slough for 200 guests, who were all amazed by the quality and taste of the food. I plan to return tomorrow with my family to try more of their wonderful dishes such as malai boti, dam ka qeema, achari, halwa puri, and chaney. I believe they will have a successful catering business and may need a larger space for their restaurant. If you want good food, this is the place to go. - Arif Alkasiri, Slough"

"I recommend this place very much! the two brothers waiting for us were absolutely fantastic. they were so friendly and we had so much sharpened with them it was funny. the atmosphere is very relaxed and cooled, definitiw felt comfortable there and eating was not so good. I couldn't owe it. they have all curries tailored to our own individual flavoring preferences, fresh, authentic and tasteful. yes, there was a light wait for the main thing, but fair to be, not so much longer than other places in the great scheme of the dinge, and I am more than happy to wait a little longer for food when it tastes good. if it is cooked to order what do they expect? Moreover, it meant that we go the appetizers and enjoy a drink and a chat while we waited. can't wait to go back."

"Anorexic Salad but nice 100 Degree Special Chicken. Went after work on an early Tuesday evening for a takeaway. I ordered Chili Mogo and 100 degrees chicken. The mogo was £7 and the special 100 Degree Chicken £9. Both which I thought wa a little bit more expensive than comparable eateries in Harrow. I asked for Raita and Salad, to which I was told that I had to pay. I explained that other places provided it free. I then said I would walk away and go elsewhere when they offered to provided it free of charge. Went home and opened the Raiita container which was generous and the salad which was not so (see photo). However felt the Chilli Mogo was light on taste however the chicken was more than reasonable."
