"visit date: 04.08.18 watch period: 7.30 watch review: a really nice place to visit a venue with everything they need from a good night. eat, drink, music, people. from the moment they arrive, they feel like a star entering a hip spot that would not be in the middle of mayfair to be honest. add this to a reasonable price menu with different set menu and cursor options to boot, they can go wrong. good place for couples as well as groups and a nice amount and mix of people that is also good. even if they leave, they enter the hectic of soho, which they must experience on a Friday and Saturday night. the venue also has its own photographer, so when the venue turns from bar to resturant club, they get a beautiful dance floor, as tables are deleted and photographer is also taking their group recordings. a great place for all those who are worth visiting. dress code: there is a strict dress code without sportswear, but at the arrival looks like some circumvents this rule, but most people were dressed well and ready for a night out. type of kitchen: modern european parking: there is an NCP parking space in a more comfortable walking distance and one of the few in the opposite decoration lighting: low lighting that looks good, but not good for photos of their group or photos, so make sure to bring a flash. great facility and I were during the day as well as evening and looks good both paintings. so please excuse my photos that are not as good as I want, next time I will take my dslr to deal with the low light levels, because my photos do not really do the place much justness. heating and cooling: the temperature fluctuated too times from good to hot. ambience acoustics: very louder place and they can hear the people who came but they must service: well on a positive note are the staff and manager all very friendly and from the beginning it is professional that the people at the entrance know their booking and where their group sits so that this is a smooth service and they a coat that is also good. server nice and friendly, but then, when dinner is the training very sub par with the staff not know the basis of cleaning a table and cleaning area after a cure as well as not attentive and always have to be followed. a very slow service with the wrong level of training for service personnel, which is the only one that refuses. they could actually achieve 10 out of 10 points when they have pressed their service level upwards. db level: we had a stand and met 90db drinks: no cocktails on the menu, but when they drink they will be in order. we had the following: mixed quinoa flower tabbouleh hazelnuts cranberries a beautiful part and really fresh salate, I know most will like cranberries, but since I am not a fan, this was a little overpowered for me, but I still enjoyed the dish. 225g filet of bark meat, roasted cep-mash baby wobble, Bordelaise sauce really well cooked and I replaced the bordelaise (red wein) sauce with pfeffercorn that was no problem and glad that this was possible. also the dish came with a roasted mushroom and to be honest, the mushrooms and sosse and maic together with the baby wobble only all cooked to perfection and all the elements of the plate worked well and composed each other, but give the steak the main focus that is as it should be. I will certainly go back to steak. green beans, chili, red bezel one must go extra with her steak, as the infusion with chili and red bezel works so well with the steak dress, it should really come with him as it is so good. warm chocolate fondant, pistachioseis not bad at all, came warm and very soft with good visual look too. bill cost: £350.00 for 5 people including drinks, but set menus only at £30 and £42 so reasonable on eating. Conclusion: I like the venue from a series of reasons from the bar up and down to the big restaurators below, the live singers and bands that really does the day and turns into a live band club with dance floor and then dj later. so the venue has everything for its night, no need to move to somewhere else and a nice crowd. I would recommend a visit and a book to make sure they get a good place and if they ask live music to sit near the stage. they also have private rooms and VIP areas so really nice note. the other was that eating was good. also a few vegetarian options as well as many fish courses so a well set menu for all to offer."

"We have visited this restaurant before and found it to be a pleasurable experience. We have always been impressed with the separate vegetarian/vegan options. However, on this most recent visit, it seemed as though we had stumbled upon a different place. On arrival I informed staff that we had booked a table. We were told to go and pick a table, so there was no specific one reserved. The menu did have a vegetarian/menu but not as extensive or as interesting as before. My starter of hummus was not the smooth silky delight I had been expecting but was more like chunky mashed chick peas . Two of the main courses sweet potato burger and a lion burger were OK, but nothing special. My main of marinaded portobello mushrooms was so overpoweringly flavoured with ginger that I only managed to eat a third of it. The predominant flavour of the seafood risotto was cheese. The clearing of the table was quite sloppy, napkins, cutlery and food were not cleared away before the dessert course. My ice cream again was nothing special and was unnecessarily decorated with what I thought were inedible silver balls. I didn't want to risk a dental accident by trying them. The most disappointing aspect of the evening was the fact that it was a special occasion. I had spoken to a young man on the phone to arrange a different start time and had told him that we would be celebrating our wedding anniversary and my husband's 70th birthday. In the event, no mention was made of it at all. I was not expecting any complimentary items but a mention of the occasion would not have gone amiss. I cannot understand the dramatic change in the service and standard since our last visit. A very underwhelming experience which we shall not be in a hurry to repeat. Such a shame."

"I’ve never given 5* for a review before. I had high expectations after watching Dion two years in a row at the Newport food festival and having tasters of food he prepared in front of us as an audience. This year they gave out a voucher, so an excuse to visit! I went for date night with my partner, a fairly local pub for us. As we approached the bar we were greeted and seen to, drinks in hand we made our way to comfy sofas to wait. Its didnt seem like waiting, we were able to enjoy our drinks in a relaxed, warm atmosphere with the buzz of other peoples concersation in the background. Given a menu to ponder, our orders were taken whilst still in the sofa. A few moments later we were seen to our rable, coats taken for us and met with our starter. Plentiful bread and olives platter to start with oils and butter. Shortly after our mains arrived, blade of beef with the poshest but tastiest mash ever with a gravy to leave you wanting more. And a steak with proper chips and tasty side sauce. The portions were generous and we we did not feel rushed, nor asked about our food whilst with a mouth full (which always seems to happen). Ambience thoughout was lovely and the decor refreshing. Final check the toilets, modern, clean and freshen up toiletries for the women which was a lovely touch. We left wanting to return, possibly sooner rather than later to try out the desserts and other tempting dishes. Thank you to the staff, two men and a women that served us you’re a credit the team and kitchen staff it goes with out saying you’re in the right job! I would recommend this place for food to anyone!"
