Succulent seared tuna, seasoned to perfection, served with a savory glaze and complemented by fresh greens for a delightful meal.

"Just really really slow not great service. Specified it was a corporate lunch and the main server (lady) was just really unhelpful and really giving us disdained looks all meal. Often tried to catch people’s attention during the meal and they’d look the other way. A shame, because I had been a week before and enjoyed myself a lot for a corporate lunch, it was spot on, the server was wonderful."

"Love this place. My wife and I had reserved a table here on Saturday night after a day at Chester races. The food was first class, as was the wine. Service was a perfect balance of being engaging yet not too intrusive. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly. We will definitely be back when we next visit Chester for the weekend. 100% recommended."

"We received a warm welcome upon arrival at the restaurant and were promptly seated at our table with menus. The menu was well explained to us and we ordered a glass of champagne while we waited for our afternoon tea to be served. The sandwiches were flavorful, though slightly dry, and the cake selection was excellent, particularly the strawberry shortcake. Unfortunately, the scones were disappointing - they were small, dry, and claggy, leaving a strange aftertaste and making them difficult to swallow. The scones should have been the highlight of the experience, but in this case they were truly awful. It was a shame, as everything else, especially the service, was top-notch."

"This restaurant delivers an experience unique to anything else in the market. From the moment you walk through the door you feel somewhat transported and as a result you really end up with a dining experience that rivals all. We sat on the first floor and the service was excellent, the food was beautifully presented and offered bold and thought out flavours. The wine list was extensive and the ambiance also perfect. We 're booking again for their private room 'The Parlour ', the best of it 's kind in the city."

"We booked here for an Afternoon Tea to celebrate our Anniversary It is a shame that there wasn 't any choice of afternoon teas today apart from the Easter Afternoon Tea as we had been there before and had the Gentlemans Tea menu On the plus side, the staff were friendly and welcoming here. The warm scones were good but could have been slightly larger like normal scones). The sandwiches however were very poor as the bread was dry and some of the fillings were quite sparse between the slices of bread the classic cucumber with beetroot cream cheese on tomato bread for example) had hardly any beetroot and cream cheese on it. We mentioned about the dry bread issue when paying for the Afternoon Tea but not much of a response came back or offer of any compensation. The selection of cakes looked very 'artisan ' but were very sweet. Some were quite sickly sweet. The little nest with the chocolate eggs inside was probably the best of the cakes. This Afternoon Tea was quite expensive for what it was £56 for 2 people) this included a pot of tea or a cup of coffee which they would top up on request). My rating is based on this Afternoon Tea is of poor value. The attentiveness of the staff over the teas and coffee 's and the relaxing feel of the birch room where we dined were the only plus points of the experience. So overall not what we hoped our Anniversary Afternoon Tea Celebration was going to have been."

"I don't usually like to leave bad reviews but I was so disappointed I wanted to spare other vegans the same experience. I was asked if I had any dietary requirements and I said I was vegan. They brought my mushroom spring rolls out with a sour cream dip which wasn't vegan. The waiter said he could make the Singapore noodles vegan too, but when it arrived it had an egg in it The Tofu hotpot was very tasty and the vegan chick'n and black bean was too but not worth the cost. Very expensive!! There is a DJ playing music that is so loud you can barely hear the people at your own table. The cherry blossom trees are over the top too the waiter made a point of telling us all about them as soon as we sat down. Individual petals made from silk you picked the wrong customer to impress with that story I'm afraid. A VEGAN!"

"Had an amazing experience in the restaurant also had a fab experience in the bar area with a very knowledgeable bar person didn’t get his name. His knowledge and ability of making cocktails and chat made our afternoon. The food was delicious and and the staff were also very knowledgeable, nice and polite. Can’t wait to return"

"I have been to Soyo several times over the years and have seen many changes in their menu. Currently, the food is excellent with a diverse menu, fresh flavors, and great service. However, the turnover rate is high, so the quality of service can vary. The yogurt and pasta dishes are very popular, and the breakfast options are delicious."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem. The service was excellent as we were attended to by the same gentleman throughout our meal. He was softly spoken and not intrusive, yet very attentive to our needs. He promptly refilled our drinks and offered us additional cutlery without us having to ask. The food exceeded our initial expectations, especially considering the reasonable prices of £8-15 for a main course."

"the best japaners in the opposite; tasty eating, cheap, great service they can not ask for much more. I went on a Sunday afternoon in the afternoon when it was quite quiet, and had a lot of straightened (all pictured). the service was fast and friendly, and offered advices to menu points. the sushi tasted fresh, the curry was unique and tasteful, and the bark was so good I would recommend it very much. for two people with a decent amount of sushi, two meals and a drink each (a tea, a beer,) it came to £40, not bad at all. overall, they try hibagon when they are in the opposite, it is good to travel."

"The food was good but……. Service was awful, ordered wine and it was basically dumped at the bottom of our table not even the top taken off ! Pizza was good also the burger, was a chore for the waitress to get us any sauces. When we had finished we were asked can I take your plates, No can I offer you a dessert, coffee nothing. After 20 mins we got up and had to ask for our bill at the main desk, again a chore for the member of staff to have to get our bill.what a shame as it could be a very high rating place to eat."

"This was a fun spot that we discovered just by stumbling upon it. The meal was a little pricy, but was very tasty. There was a lot of fun stuff on the menu. Limited cocktail list but the drinks were done very well. It’s a small spot so not that private. All in all we would go back."

"If you want a Japanese delivery with the best classic dishes in Edinburgh, I would say this is the best. I have checked the other Japanese delivery and the menu is not as extensive as this one. I ordered quite a huge selection of food...to have a proper taste of their food. The fish was fresh I have to say. The sushi and the temaki rice are great as well but they tend to put too much rice so the whole thing becomes like a big clump with too much rice. I know the bigger portion the bigger the value but with Japanese sushi and temaki it needs to be moderately supplied to ensure it does not destroy the fresh fish flavour. The fried chicken chicken karaage seems to be a bit on a dry side but they supplied plenty of the chicken for the portion. The agedashi tofu has a harder tofu than I thought but good broth. The soft shell crab tempura was almost not worth it with just 2 or 3 pieces of crab so best to avoid. The only highlight I thought was definitely the Aubergine with Miso Sauce. The aubergine was properly roasted to provide intense flavour and the thick miso sauce really complemented the aubergine. The dishes were clearly prepared with a thought of delivery quick and roughly prepared to mimic Japanese food. I have to say there is definitely room for improvement and they really need to improve on the quality of the food."

"had a nice evening at six. loads of organic vegan choices on the menu that includes starters, pornstars and dessert. I had to start the tofu satay, warm Buddha-shot with Thai green curry sauce and the chocolate with delice (for dying, probably one of the best vegan desserts I ever had.) I also heard good dings about their uninterrupted brunettes of someone else I know! service was friendly. went in the first week after restaurants opened post covid and measures to place and place how to scan a QR code to get menu on their phone."

"The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is a magnificent building and the staff are always attentive. It is probably the only place where you can get fine dining in Eastbourne and it’s always my go to choice when celebrating for birthdays etc. I went for lunch yesterday with my wife and it was decidedly average. The service was impeccable, but the food was so-so. Portion sizes were very small and seasoning was hit and miss. Some dishes were tasteless. whereas others were very salty. To top things off coffee was sent back because it was lukewarm. I will go back there to eat, but I will be expecting better next time."

"Such a wonderful surprise. We're not local. Were staying in the area and googled local pubs. Chose the Windmill for its proximity. Wow, what a dining experience. Beautifully thought out menu. Really good service and a lovely English pub setting. The food is superb. A little gem. If you are in the area I would recommend."
