"During my four day trip to London my first restaurant visit was to “Daphne’s” of whose reputation I had heard . No need to say, we had booked a table in advance knowing that going there without a reservation was out of the question. My experience there proved to go far beyond my expectations! With exquisite dishes within a romantic atmosphere, my friends and I had a splendid evening . “Daphne’s” is an elite, ritzy restaurant in London’s South Kensington district. With its soft caramel coloured diffused lighting and chic ambiance it is one of the haunts of many celebrities. The highlight feature of this place is naturally the dishes it serves. The highly professionel staff serve the most appetizing , sumptuous and exotic dishes of classic Italian cuisine in an overwhelming ambiance. All the dishes are top class quality: the pizzas, both the classic and covered types prepared in front of us, spaghetti dishes, risotto types and the fried courgette sticks dipped in Parmesan cheese a dish I never had enough of , they are all to die for. But before tasting these heavenly dishes, my humble recommendation is to order one of the sea food appetizers. Especially the Ravioli with crayfish and courgette is well known. The wines are selected to go with the dishes served. The prices are reasonable compared to the dishes. “Daphne’s” is a restaurant with a unique romantic atmosphere where you can be sure to taste most savoury and mouthwatering dishes and have a delightful time . It ‘s enchanting ambiance is almost thrilling. “Daphne’s” is located at Bromton Cross, between Chelsa and South Kensington. Its location is ideal for having lunch after a visit to Royal Albert Hall, Science Museum, Natural Museum, Royal Court or after shopping at Knightsbridge and Kings Road. In Turkish as well: Dört günlük Londra turumun ilk restoran ziyareti, methini önceden duyduğum ' 'Daphne 's ' ' oldu. "We went for a few drinks here the other day. Upon arrival, there was a small problem with the booking, whereby they thought it was for 2 people but was actually for 8. That was resolved relatively quickly, and the lady was very friendly, but was a little awkward as we were sat at an interim table for a few minutes. The pricing is what is to be expected of an upmarket place in Chelsea: £12 22 for cocktails and house wine at £8 a glass. The cost of beer is extortionate at £7 per 330ml bottle, so we steered clear of that. Table service is mandatory, so you have a 13.5% service charge on top of that. All of the above aside, the atmosphere is alright a bit pretentious, but that’s to be expected. Our real issue came where my partner and I went to leave at about 11.30pm, whilst the rest of the party remained. My partner collected her bag from the cloakroom and the waiter came across and slapped the bill on the counter (of the cloakroom, in the main entrance exit area), stating in an obnoxious manner ‘you need to pay’, essentially insinuating that we were potentially going to do a runner. She pointed to the table, showing that most of the party was still there, and he said that it should still be paid now, which was weird, uncomfortable and resulted in everyone else moving on shortly after also. We asked for the service charge to be removed and will not return as it creates a lot of needless anxiety and whilst not their highest spending customers, we still spent £20 30 a head."

"No food for us, just a quick one for the road after a tour of a few drinking establishments in Edinburgh. From the front door, you walk straight into a room with the bar on your left, a seating area with a few tables on your right, and a further small table ahead. I didn't explore deeper to see if there was more seating elsewhere. The bar area was comfortably full, with a variety of friendly patrons with the barman expertly managing the needs of all whilst welcoming us. A great range of ales available and a good selection of spirits. The establishment is nicely lit, courtesy of large windows on the front of the building, and whilst cosy and fairly busy, we quickly found a table to continue our conversation in comfort. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get in with a wheelchair (there may be a rear entrance). One thing that struck me was suitability in a zombie apocalypse. The windows felt to be fairly high from the road side (although I had had a few by this point) which would be a useful positive for defence as the Zs couldn't just fall into the building like most of these new cafes bar places, but there was certainly sufficient large tables to ensure you could barricade easily. Entrances both front and back within clear sight of each other means you can avoid surprise flanking although it does have the problem of being overrun in one wave, but the reduced space may mean your choice of weapon is restricted to shorter bludgeon types. Likely to be a good range of snacks to tide over a small group for a few days."
