"We had booked a table for four for Sunday lunch. We were welcomed by the friendly staff, but that was the last good thing about the visit. The first table that we were offered was in an alcove unsuitable for four people, but they were happy to move us to another. The room was very cold, we hoped it would warm up as more people arrived. It did not. We settled for a one course lunch, as it was too cold to be hanging around for long. The ribeye beef was extremely rare and fatty. Ok if that's how you like your meat. For some reason it was piled into a pasta bowl so you could not see what was there. In fact, there were more potatoes than anything, and although they had been in an oven, they were not roasted. The other vegetables were hidden at the bottom of the bowl, and in short supply. The wine list was limited, which is fine, but hugely overpriced. Other reviews mention warm and cosy. It was cold and wooden. Two fireplaces could have been alight, which would have completely changed the ambience. Overall, very disappointing venue and food."
