"apparently they are either a dog person or a cat person. I am a definitiw a cat person without a shadow of doubt. do not misunderstand me, it is not that I do not like dogs, honestly, I do, especially those good looking, bouncy Hungarian Vizsla types or the blue eyes teddybearic Siberian huskies or perhaps lean Russian salukis, and of course their dedication and loyality is something to appreciate their protective bark a great safety boon. the best friend of man and all that, I know, I know. but somehow, do they not all have these anal cystens that need to be let down and that wet doggy smell and bad breath? they force their owners to carry around creatively and...more"

Excellent local. Had a “simple” pub lunch with a friend from out of town. Everything was done right friendly and unhurried service, classic fare cooked very well, and a great wine and beer selection. A real gem.

that should be kept secret. without a doubt, the worst thing I ever had was to be ashamed of the chef to dress his white. I had the lamm shank, it was so hard to think that my boobs would have been more digestible. seriously, the cook has to go back to the cooking school.

Went here before the Rugby at Twickenham with some work colleagues. Good that it was empty and we could enjoy a thoroughly enjoyable meal with or pints Food was delicious. Started with the ham hock terrine which was warm and succulent though could have done with an extra slice of toast. The sausage and mash was excellent and just what I needed before sinking pints at the rugby. It's just a shame England lost.

Lighter Wallet but great food. The Brown Dog will polarise opinions I feel. It is a lovely quaint backstreet pub and you have dogs and children wandering around your tables. Not to everyones taste. The staff are friendly enough could be a little more attentive. The food was truly first class some of the best roast beef I had in ages but the price does demand it. Spent on a main meals with one beer and small wines and a coke! Would I be back definitely yes when that is harder to answer.

literally outside because the BD website said .we have just completely covered and heated our beautiful terrace. , but no table, heating or cover set up for us, despite confirmation again. very cold, no one else outside, but bd has not disturbed us to contact us, to save another table. in the interior of the chaos: massif 'overfilled', rugged tables placed ridiculously close together, the people stood at the bar that cried to hear very hot, therefore slow service. eating looked good, but avoid busy Fridays or Saturday nights because they clearly overwhelmed!

I visited the brown dog a few years ago when he first opened. it was a visit for Sunday dinner and to be honest, it was a visit for Sunday dinner ever. I don't think that I've ever visited the brown dog for everything as Sunday dinner and since I hadn't visited one, it made the perfect choice when my kumpel judgeard contacted me about the meeting. the location was also ideal as it was for both of us in the middle. Although I was unknown at the time, a wheel race made it impossible for us to get there. to the luck it was a sunny summer on Sunday afternoon afternoon and, after a short taxi ride with a taxi that moaned and rated the cyclists...read more
