"my place of stay here in london offers me easy access to three practical stations. these are victoria, pimlico and westminster. Nevertheless, I find myself ventilated and then try some of the local cuisine here. time out london was so generous to mark the contrary as “a gastronomic desert, ridden with soulless chains and not much more”. that is not completely untrue. Chalkboard menus, friendly staff and community wood tables immediately recommend pimlico fresh is different. I found a seat (it is packed) and contemplated the options. I have swallowed the green eggs and speck on toast option (for about £7). they go a little bit nuts on cherry tomato, but the plate is a very happy. a good smush of avocado, perfectly roasted eggs and speck. with the correct amount of Runny-Yolk under a stream of pesto. the ratio of strokes to brot is very appealing. a little salt and pfeffer helped to finish the aromen and I was a more satisfied place."

"We stayed one night, with dinner, bed and breakfast and everything was just perfect. The inn itself is an old and interesting building; staff are friendly and efficient; good choice of real ales and delicious food. Our room was quaint, clean and had everything we needed. "Victors have changed it is more like a tapas style restaurant where dishes arrive at different time. Just very unorganised some people in the party received their food 30 minutes after the rest of the party had finished. Waitress was nice and very pleasant but the kitchen were unable to accommodate any slight change to a dish. Wouldn’t go back or recommend."

"Given the location of the Jolly Fisherman overlooking Craster harbour they could serve any old rubbish and fill the place. I am so happy that instead of that the food they serve is fantastic the hardest part was choosing what to have from the well thought out menu and specials board. I could eat there twice an day for a week and enjoy everything they have to offer. I don't know when or how but we will return."

"Only a 15 minute drive from my house now l know where to go for outstanding food. Both myself and my wife were astounded with how delicious the food was. It was nice to have time between courses where we didn't feel rushed unlike some other restaurants that we've been to. We will be bringing family and friends there to dine whenever possible."

"After receiving confirmation from OpenTable with the code 822102241, my wife and I arrived at the restaurant last night at 7:20. Despite our reservation, we were told we did not have a booking. After refusing to sit at a coffee table in the lounge, the manager was able to find us a table in the restaurant and offered us a complimentary drink to salvage the situation. However, our troubles did not end there. When we ordered the beef, we were not asked how we wanted it cooked and had to send it back because it was too rare. Our dessert took 30 minutes to arrive, prompting us to ask the staff if there was an issue. Finally, my wife had to ask for a glass of wine 15 minutes after initially requesting it. Despite some minor issues, we were still charged an additional 10% for the lackluster service. We have been patrons of this restaurant for over 20 years, both as a couple and in larger groups. However, after last night's experience, we are unlikely to return. In recent years, there have been new establishments in the area that offer comparable or even superior service. Last night's service at the restaurant was truly disappointing for what should have been a special occasion."

"Good. but I was disappointed recently. one of their best meals is steal cake. I ordered this with chips and it came in a smaller bowl than usual, but, surprisingly, the steak was on a bed of kartoffels and the inherited were under this I suspect that the amount of steak that was needed to display the schirr, but I asked for chips, not chips and masche."

"This was on a Sunday and there is a very wide sea based menu in terms of crab, prawn, scampi, and lobster sadly there was no sea fish today as far as we could find (the fish of the day was salmon). There were standard ‘Sunday lunches if that is your bag! We had the kipper pâté (which was excellent and generous) with what was described as artisanal bread this divided the 2 diners it was brown with grains but was very light and airy The chips served with the fishcakes were good and hot, the fishcakes obviously had salmon and a white fish and were nice enough. The salad appears to be bagged leaves with a commercial fruity dressing Somewhat saddened that there was no fresh saltwater fish on the menu in a place like Craster."

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."

"This is a really nice restaurant whose lunch menu provides great value for money. While it's not made clear on the lunch menu itself, you get both a starter and a main for £9. The portions were good sizes and we all thought it was really delicious and authentic tasting food. This is one place where we will definitely go to again. The ambience is nice and the waitstaff we had was attentive and friendly."

"Warm friendly welcome, table ready prepared for us. Excellent food, the choice was from an extensive menu and all the food was lovely and well presented. Nice atmosphere in the dining room, which was busy. The only slight drawback was the service....although we realised that some guests (ourselves included actually) were known to the staff who chatted to them... we would have appreciated this rather more if we had been given our drinks first! But the quality of all the food was really very good indeed, and no doubt we shall return again soon."

"seven of the family that was booked for my mother's birthday happened as Mother's Day, it was a set menu price from everyone. at our arrival the table was not ready and we were directed to the bar for minutes, the restaurant. was busy, but enough staff seemed it. we waited minutes until our order is taken, the starter came minutes later and minutes for the pornstars, as the food did not come from the a la carte menu, it seemed to wait too long. this was the second time that this happened, we were advised after the first time that we would be looked after, we were not, they took the food bill generously they could say, but since it was a celebrity that we felt left from the roslin. positiw was that eating was very good when it arrived and we had a psychic so that the intention was good while we waited. negative are still bad service and waiting time, we do not expect that to be spilled over, but the management of the expectations of waiting times is not something offered. Not sure whether it is worth giving the restaurant back the advantage of the doubt, as they do not come twice to the standard."

"At the arrival we had to wait as they couldn't find the booking. When ordering one of my guest asked to have the chicken breast without sweetcorn and after the waiter came back saying the chef explained the sweetcorn is the main ingredient in the menu as it's cooked 3 ways and not having sweetcorn would alter the original taste of the recipes, my guest asked if something else could be added instead. When the food was delivered the staff didn't ensure we had everything we needed, salt and pepper were missing and a check back wasn't given throughout the dinner. The chips were dry and far overcooked, the RibEye was uneatable, the duck breast was tough, chewy and overcooked, the haddock dish was oversalted. Everything was a complete disappointment and not worthy all that money!"

"On Saturday evening during the anniversary weekend, I had dinner with a friend. The food was excellent overall, especially the grain starter, and the lamb rack was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available when needed. The atmosphere was lively and fun, enhanced by a live singer, Sammie Jay, who provided high-quality entertainment. I definitely want to visit again!"

"Absolutely beautiful Sunday lunch!Some great waiting team members as well, although one who welcomed us was incredibly moody and had her phone hanging out between her boobs which was very unprofessional and let it down about!! "We were sadly disappointed by our visit. On our arrival we went to the bar but all on tap beer was off apart from one. My elderly father was asked to try a pint of beer before buying it in case it wasn’t right (it wasn’t). We felt that this was very unprofessional. The room where we ate was stark and lacked atmosphere. I understand that this was partly to do with Covid restrictions but I’m sure there was something you could have put on the tables to make it more welcoming. One waitress looked terrified to be there although both waitresses were helpful when we asked for things. My husband’s roast arrived without roast potatoes and these had to be brought separately. There was no apple sauce for the roast pork. Vegetables were brought out for the roasts and there was plenty but we thought it was odd that the same vegetables were given to the two members of our party who had the tagliatelle. Generally the food was good though. We had our wedding reception at The Quorn Grange many years ago and were saddened by how it now feels like a conference centre, rather than the lovely venue it once was. Once it was considered to be the place to do for a posh meal or a celebration. We will not be returning. Really sorry for this rather negative review, but I felt like I had to be honest!"

"Booked lunch for a birthday meal at 12 o'clock, was told to go into the bar where we could get drinks beforehand. No bartender to greet us, floors hadn't been cleaned and empty cups and glasses still on the bar from the night before. When we went into the restaurant at around 12:20 the gentleman from the bar area began serving us more drinks, during this time there were two young waitresses also in attendance who didn't seem to be doing much. After a long wait we eventually gave our food order to the young waiter and our starters only came out at around 13:30! Mains came out at around 14:30 which for a 12 o'clock booking is madness especially as we were the only table in the restaurant! The young waitresses who brought out the main courses didn't even know what some of the dishes were called and couldn't tell the difference between a chicken burger and a wagyu burger! This is bad enough but there were only six main courses on the lunch menu to memorize. I had the wagyu burger which was far too small for the bun and was of the same standard as a wetherspoons burger and for £16.00 completely overpriced! The furniture needs replacing as all the original chairs and tables back from 2005 when it was known as The Ivory Rooms ares till being used, really sad to see a place that used to have great food and service turn into this. In short, this is pub food with restaurant prices and some of the staff need more training!"

"After dining at this restaurant multiple times in the past, I was disappointed with a recent lunch visit. We ordered one Cod and Chips and one piece of cod on its own, as my wife has a small appetite. While the fish was delicious, the chips were soggy and seemed to be reheated. When it came time to pay, I was surprised to learn that the piece of fish on its own cost the same as the fish and chips. I tried to explain that there should be a price difference, but the staff insisted that they had to charge the same amount. This seemed like nonsense to me. I have reached out to the brewery for clarification, but I don't expect a quick response. Overall, I don't plan on returning to this restaurant anytime soon."
