If you are looking for time away then The Harvard inn in Stock is the place to come. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much.

we visited the harvard inn last night for my mamas 70th birthday and had a fantastic time. the food was delicious and the staff could not do enough for us. we were a great table of 17 and the subordinates of all our desires could not praise. more for making such a fantastic evening. in any case would go back and recommend others.

Lovely ambience. Very buzzy this evening, couples, families,friends… sums this place up. Great place whether you’re having just drinks or food. We stayed for dinner, perfectly cooked steak with peppercorn sauce and lamb with goats cheese and beetroot, delightful. Staff are lovely, attentive but not...intrusive. Would highly recommend to locals or those visiting the area.

we have booked every room in harvard gas house for 2 days about our high season and I am so glad that we did. the staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. the hotel is clean and spacious and still feels comfortable. that was brilliant. an extra special thanks. goes to the recipe, which over and beyond for all of us who deserves a paid holiday! She is the most beautiful lady and made sure that our stay was everything we hoped. we will definitely come back.

Needed a base for a weekend with family .We had travelled for 7 hours so we were greeted with a very enthusiastic member of staff ,and was given room 2 .This was a delightful room overlooking the road .The bathroom was very newly decorated and...very clean ,although the loo seat would move !! We ate on the first night in the restaurant which was fabulous .Very good value and great service .The breakfast was well presented and delicious.We had three nights here and will certainly return soon . Stock is a great place for walks and has a lot of fabulous eating places.

We booked this as an overnight stay on our way to a trip to France via euro tunnel. Room was clean and cosy bed slight hard and pillows flat/hard but room, bathroom and bedding/linen was clean etc. We were unable to have evening meal...as we arrived late due to travel issues so unable to comment on food. Our over night stay was not as restful as it could have been as fellow guests were allowed to sit in seating area which is situated below room windows drinking and partying until early hours we’ll past 1am. Disappointingly this wasn’t challenged by any staff of the Inn. Needless to say this won’t be a place we will be frequenting or recommending.

last night had a nice eating in the harvard to celebrate the birthday of our daughter. the first time we had eaten there as a family and the food was delicious. large service and a very courteous cook that ensured that the milk and wine allergies. have been taken into account (brighten everything that could be chosen and adjust the courts if necessary). it was a Monday evening, so we asked for a table in the bar, as there was more atmosphere. Portions are generous and we all tried something else and agreed that all were cooked for perfection. sometimes the village inn can feel a little clicky with locals, but we certainly did not feel comfortable here. we'll be back.

Stayed for two nights in room one, visit for a family funeral. The room was clean, super huge bed and well appointed. The staff were lovely and all so helpful. We had two excellent dinners and amazing breakfasts. The diner menu is varied and excellent,...and the choice was great, we had beautiful mussels, a huge stake pie which we couldn’t believe the size of, with super veg! The list of home made ices was long and excellent. We loved the mango and passion fruit and raspberry sorbet, and also the lemon and ginger tart. The satay started was super as well. today harvard inn (22 October) visited with friends for lunch and drink. we received not the warmest reception, 3 young girls working from the bar, but were more interested in their phones than actually a service. when we came to our table, there were no best or serviettes. we waited 15 minutes to take our food order and ask for a wine list. then we had to wait 10 minutes to order a bottle of wine. when the weeping was overlaid, he was left on the table, we were not offered to try it and it was not poured for us. waiting for eating was long, 35 minutes for 2 x sausages and maic and 1 x fish and chips.
