"today harvard inn (22 October) visited with friends for lunch and drink. we received not the warmest reception, 3 young girls working from the bar, but were more interested in their phones than actually a service. when we came to our table, there were no best or serviettes. we waited 15 minutes to take our food order and ask for a wine list. then we had to wait 10 minutes to order a bottle of wine. when the weeping was overlaid, he was left on the table, we were not offered to try it and it was not poured for us. waiting for eating was long, 35 minutes for 2 x sausages and maic and 1 x fish and chips. When the food finally arrived, there was no cute yet. we had to ask that, and it was just in a stack on the table. the fish and chips were very good as the sausages and mashing. until a human hair was found in the maic! the waitress came over and took the food with an empty expression and murmured an apology. we waited for some time again that teller will be taken away and ask for the bill. also here it took at least 10 minutes to pass. I wouldn't worry about waiting, but the bar was absolutely empty! halfway through our meal came a table of 10, there were already cutlery and serviettes laid and water was provided. the staff seemed to be much more attentive to this group. I am incredibly disappointed as I was already in the harvard inn and eating and the service was impeccable. Not sure if there is a change of hands or if there is a lack of training. the young staff seemed to have no idea, and as already mentioned was more interest in chatting and their handys. I am grateful that the meal with the found hair was taken out of the bill. sad to say that I don't return."

"Pathetic, waited 3 hours for delivery, when we phoned to chase the order the second time I spoke to some rude women who showed no compassion or empathy and didn’t apologise for the delay!? 25 minutes later we saw a confused looking guy carrying a delivery bag but had no car. I refused delivery and the poor delivery driver said he was only given the order 20 minutes ago!?!?We decided to order from a competitor of Cavaliere which arrived quickly and who we will be using in future.To the owners of the Cavaliere we understand that occasionally these things can happen BUT to spoken to in that manner by a member of staff is completely unacceptable!"

"The service at this cafe is absolutely terrible. It is run by two young girls and an older woman who seem completely clueless. The wait time was incredibly long, the Baked Potato was undercooked, and the sandwiches were haphazardly placed on the table before we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for canned soup. We overheard a phone call where an online delivery order was cancelled due to the delay, and the woman in charge told the customer to take it up with Deliveroo for a refund. The table was dirty with crumbs everywhere, and the staff seemed more focused on online orders than serving in-store customers. Hygiene was also lacking, as only one staff member sporadically wore a face covering and there was no effort to ensure customers were using track and trace."

"Such lovely people that run this restaurant. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and made the whole experience entertaining for our children. The food was delicious and even managed to impress my father who is virtually impossible to please when it comes to eating out. They even sent us home with a little box of Turkish delights. We will certainly return to this little gem!"

"I had recently moved to Finedon and we went for a family meal on a Sunday! The roast dinners are amazing!! The food was really lovely including the starters we had, I went for pate and it was great and perfect amount. We all had a large roast and honestly after couldn’t eat another thing, this was a little sad as I saw the dessert menu and going by the rest of the food I have high hopes!! We can’t wait to go back and try something different, including the desserts!!"

"close to the gloucester railway station, this little gem offers a beautiful Lebanese menu with traditional and special options. they have a nice, reasonable weeping list. the food is prepared with care and very beautifully presented without being intentional. try the seabass, it was literally the best I had, and I eat several times a week so it says something. we had two children with us, and while I would not call this a child-friendly restaurant, the employees were gracious and we found several menu points to appeal to their young palate (chicken wings, chicken keer, mixed grill and chips). the reispudding desert was devine. can simply serve as a weekly trip to the restaurant without disappointment."

"Egg sandwiches were poor. Hardly any taste and hard to find filling. I think that they should be a little more generous. Ham sandwiches don't need as much chutney as the ham was good and thick. The Coronation pheasant brioche was a nice twist on a theme but the chunks were a bit big and needed a good chew. A pulled bird filling would have been better. Scone and sweet fancies were good quality and in keeping with an afternoon tea."
