"today harvard inn (22 October) visited with friends for lunch and drink. we received not the warmest reception, 3 young girls working from the bar, but were more interested in their phones than actually a service. when we came to our table, there were no best or serviettes. we waited 15 minutes to take our food order and ask for a wine list. then we had to wait 10 minutes to order a bottle of wine. when the weeping was overlaid, he was left on the table, we were not offered to try it and it was not poured for us. waiting for eating was long, 35 minutes for 2 x sausages and maic and 1 x fish and chips. When the food finally arrived, there was no cute yet. we had to ask that, and it was just in a stack on the table. the fish and chips were very good as the sausages and mashing. until a human hair was found in the maic! the waitress came over and took the food with an empty expression and murmured an apology. we waited for some time again that teller will be taken away and ask for the bill. also here it took at least 10 minutes to pass. I wouldn't worry about waiting, but the bar was absolutely empty! halfway through our meal came a table of 10, there were already cutlery and serviettes laid and water was provided. the staff seemed to be much more attentive to this group. I am incredibly disappointed as I was already in the harvard inn and eating and the service was impeccable. Not sure if there is a change of hands or if there is a lack of training. the young staff seemed to have no idea, and as already mentioned was more interest in chatting and their handys. I am grateful that the meal with the found hair was taken out of the bill. sad to say that I don't return."

"Ate here yesterday for Father's Day. Admittedly it was a very hot day but the temperature inside the pub was unbearable. So much so that after seeing another table do so, we decided to follow suit and eat dessert outside. The food was also disappointing and no where near up the standard of previous visits. The prawn cocktail was lacking in prawns and the ones that were there were small, frozen shrimp with absolutely no flavour and a rubbery texture. To be fair other members of the family had the squid starter and said that was fine. Main courses were slightly better and I did enjoy the steak. Dessert was a lemon pot that tasted like lemon cleaner and a bowl of ice cream that when served was completely melted and had to be sent back. All in all a disappointing and uncomfortable meal. Will not go back and will not recommend."

"Where do I even begin… Unfortunately I have nothing other than negative and disappointing feedback. A large group of us went for lunch at the Mill and ordered 2 sharing platters of meat to start and separate dishes for main course. Due to there being a large group of us we were sat in the hallway next to a dirty popcorn machine and a candy floss maker. Right from the get go the service was applauding, it took us 30 minutes to receive our drinks and an hour and 10 minutes to receive our cold meat starters. By which point we had all finished our first round of drinks. We had mentioned to the waitress at this point our starters had taken a long time to arrive and rather than being apologetic she rudely dismissed us and told us that wasn’t the case. We then received our mains another 40 minutes after the starters and quite honestly they were shocking, not one of us was happy with our mains. The homemade burger buns were drier than the Sahara desert, the burger meat was over cooked and poorly seasoned, the pizza and the pork were saltier than I am writing this review. After eating we asked to speak with the manager who was also one of the chefs. He began to inform us that he was extremely disappointed in us for not liking his food and didn’t care for our complaints. After this the waitress called one us a liar twice! Once the manager had finished telling us about how upset he was with us he walked off and refused to listen to the rest of our complaints. We asked if they would be happy to come to some arrangement on the bill and they were having none of it. Overall the service was awful, the staff were rude, the food was poor and atmosphere dull. 100% do not recommend unless you enjoy a ruined meal."

"the lunch had been booked to meet with a friend. the employees were very attentive and in court we were allowed to see the menu and preorder the food while we were chatting in the bar area. we were called to the table and the service was very professional and fast, with the additional incentive that the waitress also took a drink order. I chose the gammon and my friend the fish, but regrettably both were meal tepid and my friend had to send the fertilizers to be heated again as they were very cold. the waitress replaced the items, but the size of the chips made them unpalatable as they did not seem to be thoroughly cooked. I am noticeable that there were high-time preparations, but we (and a second couple) were the only in the restaurant the staff was very professional, but the meal was disappointing my friend ordered a sweet as extra, as she remained hungry the sweet was fantastic. I will eventually return to the din, but the first impression was not the best way to spend a afternoon, their"

"Booked for New Year's Eve. £69.99 per head. Service adequate but I have to say the food was not good. Pre prepared and not fresh. The amuse bouche was a piece of French bread with smoke salmon, more like a badly done canape. The Starters were accompanied by limp salad, the plates they were served on very cold evidencing they had just been sitting uncovered in a fridge. Very odd rock hard goat's cheese, and for others, 3 tiny pieces of dry sardine. As for the main, beef wellington, the fillet of beef overcooked and resembled a piece of shoe leather, I doubted it was even fillet. The pastry was raw on the inside and undercooked, and soggy on the outside. Think had been pre cooked and microwaved. Worst beef wellington I have ever seen. We all sent back and chef offered rack of lamb.Sadly this was presented raw, not rare, with huge chunks of broccoli, soggy roast potatoes and carrots. Those who ate fish said was adequate, but the spinach and ricotta filo main had by one was also raw and underdone. As for the apple tart, again some received ice cold from the fridge, others luke warm although the flavour was good. Actually spoilt New Year's Eve and we left hungry. What was even more annoying is that I believe we were not charged for 2 bottles of wine, but were expected to pay for the nasty food. I would rather have paid for the £60 wine. I will be contacting the restaurant owner for a full refund, minus the wine. I can't believe we were actually charged £75 a head for the meal, pretty disgraceful in my opinion. We actually doubted whether there was a chef in the kitchen......"

"Cannot comment on Sheldrakes as between OpenTable and the restaurant my Mother's Day was ruined. I booked a table for 4 last minute on OpenTable web page only for Sheldrakes to contact me later on to advise that the booking was cancelled as the restaurant was fully booked. How can a computer system accept my booking and then for it to be cancelled? I kept getting review requests from OpenTable so I can only assume they believe that my booking had been honoured. Is it a case of the computer database being wrong or human input either way thank you for ruining the day."

"Upon our arrival, the restaurant was still in the process of being cleaned. The bar service was lacking, as they could only offer a bottle of Prosecco instead of a glass. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and we would not choose to dine at this restaurant again."

"the place was completely renovated and I must say it is amazing! it is super clean and the ambiente here is perfect! each of the employees here are super polite and helpful. it is one of these rare cases where I really feel looked around. the burgers here are so good I think it is the best in london along with the loaded french! one teller is enough for two people! I almost couldn't finish my burger because I had a whole plate with loaded french for me. recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal and drinks! it's just perfect! when other restaurants in south harrow got this type of investment and management, south harrow will undoubtedly be a leading provider than one of the best food towns in the world to win with potential michelin star ratings."

"I just had a vegetarian bagel at this restaurant about 5 minutes ago. It was a toasted bagel filled with grilled halloumi, chili mayo, lettuce, and fresh orange slices. The combination was surprisingly delicious, especially paired with their freshly squeezed orange juice. I don't usually go for vegetarian options, but I really enjoyed this meal. The staff was also very friendly and the atmosphere was nice and cozy."

"I was looking forward to brunch after checking out the menu, but unfortunately, I was a bit let down. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast and the standout was definitely the flavorful and fresh mushrooms, which were a nice change from the typical greasy spoon style. However, the scrambled eggs were overdone and the sauteed potatoes seemed like they had been fried too many times. Additionally, I was served a cold half of a fresh tomato. It was disappointing. The service was good and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, but it may not be accessible for those with disabilities or mobility issues."

"Our first visit after a friends suggestion and we will be going again. All the staff were friendly and polite, with a special mention to Matt G who was our main server. He was fully knowledgeable about the menu and made sure everything was fully to our liking. Three of us dined and 2 had special dietary needs,This was fully indicated on the menu and the choice was certainly not limited. Food arrived hot,freshly cooked and in a timely manner. At no point did we feel that were were either waiting for food or being rushed through courses. Nothing was too much trouble and this really does make a pleasant change nowadays when dining anywhere. We were all very happy with the food and service we received and would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting good food, good service in a lovely location."

"I had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant with excellent service from the waiter and very friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing, especially the cheesecake. The only downside was that the food was served on cold plates and serving dishes, which was disappointing. I didn't bring it up at the time because I didn't want to delay the meal. One minor note was the sarcastic, patronising attitude of the bar man. Not impressed with him which was a small blight on an overall very pleasant evening. "Our friends back in New Jersey told us to make reservations at Mulligans, Kieran the owner went above and beyond making us feel welcomed. We were only in Dublin for a few nights , there was 6 of us . Gerry and Renata got us cold drinks and hot food . The atmosphere is wonderful, you feel like family . The service is outstanding and the neighborhood is upscale but not pretentious or stuffy. Will be one of our stops the next time we are in Dublin"
