"After reading some reviews of this restaurant, I had my doubts about my choice, but I can confidently say we had an amazing time. I ordered the carbonara and my friend had the prawn pasta with spaetzle, and both dishes were absolutely delicious—I could have easily gone back for seconds! We also tried the courgettes, which were crispy and incredibly tasty. The lovely waitress was friendly and incredibly professional. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely return. I encourage others to visit, especially since many restaurants are struggling right now, and this place is truly a gem."

"Service was attentive, friendly unpretentious and thorough. The menu was not extensive, but perhaps benefitted from doing a few things very well rather than a far greater choice. We enjoyed fish, seafood, meat (offal) and the signature Shepherds Pie. Desserts were also exceptionally good. The ambience enabled us to converse freely with family who are hard of hearing, but the atmosphere was still informal and lively. My father in law was fascinated by the division bell. My wife enjoyed the political cartoons."

A group of six of us visited on Saturday night after attending the Abba Voyage performance, and to our delight, the staff played Abba music when they learned about our evening's plans! It was also my birthday, and although none of us mentioned it to the staff, they were attentive to our celebration and made my dessert extra special by presenting it with a huge candle. We had a fantastic night and will definitely return."

"Looking for a fun, boozy brunch to start your weekend with a bang? Well, the Bunga Bunga Saturay Brunch in Battersea offers you the perfect option to enjoy great food and drinks in an upbeat ambience. We had booked the brunch way in advance, but reached late for our seating sadly and had much lesser time than we would've liked. Even so, you can't really go wrong with unlimited prosecco and make your own bellinis and a delicious 3 course meal to go with it. The first thing you notice when you enter is the quirky decor of this place, and as the afternoon progresses there are many more additions to make the experience better. We were immediately seated at our table in between an absolutely packed brunch seating, and were served bread which we had to send back since it was cold. They then seved us another basket with warm bread and spreads, and the afternoon started. The starters Cold cuts and pastries were brought to our table while we decided what pizzas we wanted to opt for as our mains. The pastries were highly ok, but the cold cuts were great. Our jug of prosecco and mixers kept us company till the main course arrived, and we digged in. We ordered half the Englishmen's breakfast pizza and half Italy's fun guy pizza. The latter was our favorite, an absolute delight with mushrooms and truffle oil. We ended on a high note with the delicious strawberry sorbet the pistachio one was a bit of a let down. The staff was very attentive and kept refreshing our prosecco jug, the live singer added great funk to the setting, and the face painting counter was a hit! Overall, priced at 38 pounds pp this may not be the cheapest option around, but offers a fun afternoon with music, good food and drinks in a lively and fun ambience."

"I arrived and told the receptionist that I have a reservation and he told me to go upstairs to another restaurant without checking anything or my booking. Then I went back there and he was with an awful face, looks like he didn’t want to be there. The pizza was very good but the other dishes like beef carpaccio and swordfish carpaccio with 3 slices of beef/fish and a lot of leaves…don’t worth it. They served a beer disgusting with a lot of dirty on the glass, we asked to change it 2 times. That is a shame because the place is very near my house, and the menu look’s great. But the service is terrible."

"Booked online last minute, no problem at all. Was on the busier side but seemed to be plenty of staff and everyone was in a good mood. Food was really nice, we normally go to pizza express and were surprised by the range of options. Only issue we ran into was the ordering via mobile rather than a person as it didn't seem to want to work but the waiter happily did it for us on his tablet. 9 year old daughter has asked that we go again when we're next somewhere with an Ask. Thanks. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free (non-gluten) pizza and pasta options available as well as vegan cheeses and gelatos. Kid-friendliness: Lots of options, our daughter loved the pasta dish and the bread sticks woth tomato dipping sauce. Wheelchair accessibility: Lift from car parking to entrance, and all flat with large doors."

"The staff were all very friendly and attentive, which made our experience even better. However, I do have a concern regarding their hidden service charge. I might have missed it on the menu entirely because it was either absent or very hard to find. When the bill arrived, the charge seemed to be presented in a way that would make it easy to overlook. This isn't the fault of the staff, but I believe Giraffe should reconsider this practice because it can leave a negative impression on customers. It feels frustrating and not very transparent, which is something that can tarnish the dining experience. Despite this, I’d recommend trying out Giraffe, and if you're uncomfortable with the service charge, don’t hesitate to ask for its removal. Thank you!"

"Me and my husband took our 2 children down The Bull for lunch a few Saturdays ago. Excellent for the kids as have play area, children's booths and had a bouncy castle that particular weekend. Love how accommodating they are for children.... slush puppies, popcorn, mocktails, icecream, fab kids menu etc. We had a nice bit of food too, love the summer grill menu. Place was well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly. Bit of a wait at the outdoor bar but what do you expect on a Saturday when the weather is lovely! "I’d been looking forward to a meal here for many years and after our experience I had to wonder why. The food was mediocre and that’s being kind. We thought we were off to a good start, as the mackerel beetroot rhubarb and fresh horseradish hit all the right notes. The fish was lightly pickled, as were the other elements, each done in a slightly different brine, and it was fun, playful and tasty. The rest of the meal was a mess. A boiled artichoke was simply plunked on a plate and served with a thick vinaigrette. This is something we do at home all the time, but getting the inedible choke out was a real chore with a fork and dull knife- who wants to fight with their food at these prices? Mains were both hugely disappointing. A tough bit of sliced lamb rump was served with an oily mint sauce which didn’t do a thing for the dish. My pie of rabbit and Guinea fowl was full of bone. The sauce inside the pie was not creamy and rich but rather a very thin broth. While the flavour of the broth was good, it just didn’t belong underneath a crust. When I questioned the server he said that if a pie contains either rabbit or Guinea fowl, traditionally it’s served this way. I have to wonder why. We had some just okay drinks to start, and a glass of very ordinary Champagne with the mains. Though we were really looking forward to desserts which sounded delicious, we knew at this point they probably wouldn’t be so asked for the cheque. The room is nice and service was okay, but the food was inexcusable at this price. Sadly it seems like a tourist trap- the best thing about it? The cute menus."
