"Excellent! We spent around four hours here on a Tuesday afternoon sampling their food, savouring their coffee and scabbing their free wifi! I 'll start with the basics. The Refuge is conveniently located on Oxford Street just a two minute walk from the train station. The casual seating area is huge with plenty of places for different sized groups to sit, there 's even an Apprentice Style boardroom table. The vibe is very relaxed but when I entered I noticed a lot of business people (or people clearly working). The decor is fantastic, as mentioned its a huge open space but the dark wooden finish makes it feel close and comfortable. The lunch menu isn 't huge but they clearly want to keep things simple and do them right. I had the beef burger accompanied by skinny fries and it was delicious. Just the right consistency so you could pick it up without it falling apart. It was generously topped with salad and the 'posh big mac ' sauce finished it off nicely. If you want to eat you 'll have to head through to the dining area as they don 't serve food in the lounge beware this was very busy, even on a Tuesday, so you may need to book in advance. After lunch we headed back to the lounge area and had a coffees while we chatted. The coffee was great, I had a flat white which was just off on the good side of bitter. We also ordered snacks later in the day the Almonds cooked in bacon fat are a must try that might sound gross to some people but just wait until the bacon flavour hits your taste buds! To access the free wifi you 'll need to sign up wth your email address but then it 's all yours. I haven 't even received a spammy email a week later. It 's really hard to fault The Refuge the staff were attentive without being too in your face, which I suppose is important when people are using their premises for business meets! All in all a really great experience and a lovely place to spend the afternoon working."

"This is not only a review but a message to the manager. I booked my brothers and sister in law’s baby shower here back in October 2023. We requested the garden/patio area as we were a large group including 2 dogs. Our plan was to have drinks and snacks then head to the local park for a gender reveal party where we would pop balloons filled with confetti. However, on this particular day the weather was not in our side, non stop rain. So, we decided to stick around at the pub and have a few more drinks. The rain was just not stopping, we started to consider doing the reveal in the garden of the pub so my brother even ordered about 50 pizza’s, this is on top of the already very large drinks tab. The pizza’s was terrible, sent out undercooked and only sent out 2-3 pizza’s every 10 minutes when we ordered 50 to keep the group full until the weather improved, still we didn’t complain as we realised it was a lot of pizza’s. After discussing with my heavily pregnant sister in law to do the reveal in the pub, I just thought I’d confirm with a member of staff who asked me to ask a manager, the manager at the bar was apparently an assistant who told me they would not allow it because the confetti was to difficult to be cleaned up. Now, I completely get this as it is true. However, I pleaded with this assistant manager, pleaded and explained the situation to her, I asked her to check with her manager who was hanging around the bar listening to the conversation and not stepping up to show some compassion and have some empathy for the situation. I offered to clean up myself, i explained that I would pop the balloon in the very corner of the garden where the rain was slightly seeping through and would be easy to sweep up, but NO! She cold heartedly denied, no compassion at all! A big big shame to this management team for letting down this family and customer who had spent at least 1k in their pub on this occasion. And for what reason, for not wanting to make a customer happy just for wanting to avoid putting some extra elbow grease into their sweeping up of an already old and dingy pub garden. This is what establishments like yours are for, for hospitality! Which you lacked completely on this day! Not even a thank you when leaving for spending so much in your pub, I wish I hadn’t asked for your permission on the balloons and just went ahead and popped them there anyway! Shame on you!"

"edgware road £5.10 amstel marylebone has an excellent choice to visit pubs, this elegant backstreet pub is worth a look. marylebone has some of the busiest roads in london, the a40, a41 and a5 all through this part of london. the noise, the hectic and the general feeling, how hectic it is, may be enough to give them the urge to get away from him all. now, if they find themselves in such a situation and smiling out a atemberaubung or simply looking for a pub to get away from everything, the @lordwargrave is the destination for them. I visited here on a Saturday afternoon and received a warm welcome from the American staff behind the bar. the pub was not overly busy with some regular in, one of which had a beautiful British bulldog who drew attention. the atmosphere here was relaxed, the majority of the hunters were in the dining department at the far end of the pub and tucked in the American style smokehouse menu. the interieur furnished here is a long bar with the dining room near an open kitchen with open brickwork and some industrial chic touchses. there is a stylish feeling about the place, but this alcohol is not pretentious, this is a pub for all people and occasions. The Lord wargrave is a striking pub that offers inviting experience in a beautiful environment. this is a pub that has a graceful feeling and offers a lush American fayre from the in-house smoker. this is a place that they can celebrate in a big group, or how I quadruple a lazy Saturday afternoon a beer and have a little time to reflect, either away the lord wargrave is worth paying a visit. informations correct to visit 15/01/22"
