"Lovely restaurant-food was very nice though the plates could have been bigger as I ended up getting most of my tower burger on the table! Initially the service was very good but towards the end we were left for a long time after our main meal without anyone asking if we would like dessert or coffee and then a waitress just brought our bill-we then asked for coffee and then the waiter who had mainly been serving us virtually ignored us and was talking to a young French lady sitting next to us. To the point when he did bring our bill-having asked for it twice he went to talk to her when we were obviously ready to pay. Such a disappointing end as I loved the restaurant and the ambience."

"Amazing place. I was so impressed. The menu is creative without being fussy or simply to be different. There are extraordinary vegetarian and also vegan options..and these dont even stand out in looking at menu as being “different”. Had the celeriac… who would have thought it would be the perfectly delicious main for the plate! It was! Service was great. I had mentioned in reservation that my friend was celebrating birthday and a plate with delectable small tea cakes arrivec with Happy Birthday in chocolate.. "I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"We waited an hour for our food to come. When it came it was cold. I sent mine back which then took a further 30 minutes to come out with a fresh one. My partner said his full English was not good quality and was also cold. There is no allergen information on the menu next to the dishes. Was very busy but seemed very understaffed and as though they were not prepared for a busy service. It was very clean and the manager was good. The bill was altered. Personally I wouldn’t go back for breakfast. We wanted to try something new but were disappointed."

"Sunday lunch was underwhelming the veggie stack resembled a sad vegetarian burger patty with overcooked vegetables and the chocolate fondant was more like a dry sponge. Wouldn 't be surprised if it was all defrosted in the microwave. Service was a well intentioned but calamitous performance by uninterested and under trained staff. The ambience was raucous. It was, however, cheap; you get what you pay for, I guess. Would not return nor recommend."

"Took going to the front desk twice to get the tv fixed in the room. Initially they sent in housekeeping to try to fix it, then a gentleman around the front desk came in and reset the channels. Waited roughly 4-5 hours. Beds are a little hard, but I am used to memory foam, so may be good for people used to a conventional mattress. Shower is amazingly hot and perfect with a shower head that actually has pressure. Breakfast is great, lots of choices, and very good orange juice. Overall, perfect location for us and easy to get to from London via coach. Rooms: Little small, but efficient for needs. Walkability: Easy to get to from coach, restaurant/pub nearby, and convenient mart in walking distance. Food drinks: Room service available, breakfast with juices and coffee."

"Beautiful interiors, great food menu. Unfortunately in our visit, we didn’t experience a great service level. There were only 3/4 other tables so it was very quiet. The staff didn’t seem very motivated or engaged in providing a good level of service very low energy. One dish was forgotten so one of our group had to wait while we ate our food two sides were also not made and we had to ask for them. I would visit again and hope for a better experience because the place itself is lovely and the food was great. It was really lacking in welcoming and friendly service. On another note, I would like to point out how dangerous it is to serve hot food and drinks when there is a baby in a highchair. On all occasions when food and drink was brought to the table the staff member leant over our baby with hot items we had to move the highchair out of the way. Instead, staff should be trained to give to the adults directly and avoid going over the head of a baby sitting at the end of the table. If an accident should occur due to carelessness like this it would be awful. It’s much easier and safer to give food and drink to the person directly at their seat. Please consider this!"

"I was disappointed with my experience. The food was much better during our last visit. My poached egg was almost cold, and the mushrooms and poached egg were served on some heavy, soggy bread that was meant to be toast. It’s a pity because everything was delicious before. For dessert, there was no rice pudding, which was one of the main reasons we chose to come here. However, the chocolate fondant was delightful. On the positive side, the service was excellent."

"Considering your post what a shame that your manager chose to shame my girlfriend and I on a recent visit for a meal because we are exempt from wearing masks. On two occasions we told staff we were exempt and had it shouted across the establishment that we need to have a mask on as we waited to be seated. Also then for a member of staff to ask us to wait whilst they ask their manager if we are able to be allowed in. Upon being seated the manager, who I have to add has been great on previous recent visits and always welcoming and friendly, then came over and again asked why we didn 't have masks on and that we needed letters as PROOF and that anyone can claim to be exempt . This was done with zero discretion and in front of other customers. There is no legal obligation to provide proof and that is on the official government website, my girlfriend checked this after the manager walked away. We both felt totally embarrassed to have been asked further in front of other customers and to have to be told we have to provide proof of our exemption. The dealing of the whole situation was disgusting and to be spoken to in such a manner for having an exemption. My girlfriend felt we should have said something after the meal but we chose not to. I fully understand this year is a testing time for everyone and especially the hospitality trade at the moment with curfews also but of all days please show some understanding and awareness that people have good reason to be exempt from wearing a mask and beyond a visible reason. I just hope you are more welcome to future customers regarding the wearing of masks and don 't choose to belittle and shame them in front of other customers. There are several reasons for being exempt of wearing a mask, one being them causing distress and anxiety, with relevance to today and your post, so I hope you can please show more understanding in future."

While not as refined as somewhere like Gymkhana (which has a Michelin Star), it's a perfect blend of great cooking at reasonable prices in a very comfortable setting. "Went for the Sunday Jazz Feast bottomless brunch. We don’t drink so we enquired about non alcoholic options. Was pleasantly surprised that they offered a just bottomless food option where we could order drinks separately. Felt like this was a good start, but that was probably the only good surprise we experienced. We were quite disappointed that there were no oysters despite all the PR and reviews saying unlimited oysters. All over IG and Tik Tok it’s reviews about oysters, so that was disappointing. Felt that there were not a huge amount of options for seafood and starters/salads. The roasts looked good but found the meat was seasoned very heavily with salt. The gravy/jus was very watery. Must say the carver was very friendly though! Most of the other hot food (sausages with mash, chicken, risotto) were cold and looked unappetising due to looking dry and congealed. I understand it’s difficult on a buffet to keep things looking fresh but the temperature of the hot food was just too cold. Also not sure why they felt the need to slice the sausages in half? Dessert selection was also very limited and the cheese selection placed on the same table which had a very overwhelming smell. Definitely put me off, I didn’t eat any desserts. Service wise I noticed the tables around us were getting a good level of service, having their bottomless drinks topped up regularly. Maybe it was because we were just ordering our drinks separately and were not consuming alcohol I felt like we didn’t get the same attentive service. Waiters were having conversations with other guests and tables and we barely got a sideways glance. Took ages for us to get someone’s attention to order more drinks, get a top up of water etc. I was tempted to try to ask if I could order oysters but couldn’t get the attention of a waiter so just gave up. Even asking for the bill took longer than needed. Being busy we wanted to free up our table promptly for them. On our departure we barely got a thank you for paying nor a goodbye. Overall feel a bit underwhelmed and slightly cheated that one of the star attractions of this brunch buffet was oysters that weren’t even there. But the contrast in service to other tables and us was what really made this a sour experience. Although vastly more expensive, will probably stick to The Ned or even something like Nobu Shoreditch bottomless brunch."

"Very good cafe in a converted house next door to South London Gallery that also does a good evening service with three course meal for on some nights. Varied menu, nice beers and wines, as well as non-alcoholic alternatives. Imaginative food with good coverage for all kinds of diets. Very friendly and attentive service from charming staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Variety of spaces, from small front garden through intimate front room' to larger rear dining area, and cosy back yard with outside tables. Great for a quick coffee and cake or lunch, but also a great place to hang out' for the evening for an in-depth catch up with friends. Highly recommended."
