"We booked a table on Saturday evening at It was busy when we went in, but we got greeted by the Manager (came from Bodrum) and he seated us. He took our order and then we were looked after by Liliana, lovely polish lady...who continued to look after us throughout the evening and greeted us with a little drink on the house. Our meal as always was piping hot and very tasty. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The Manager at one point could see I was looking round to attract attention and came over to see what I wanted, he was at the till at the time, but his customer service along with Liliana was very good. Thank you for making our evening a very pleasant one."

"on 26 December birthday of my wife the restaurant had unfortunately a crash with her cook in the night before the problems caused with service, eating and storage level. the manager had explained the situation and that it is a very low teig deficiency....not great in a pizza and pasta restaurant. of course ordered pasta, which then also let the pasta run out. we didn't get what we wanted on our pasta selection, that didn't taste good either. fortunately we were not charged for these 3 courts. the staff and management were friendly and professional. they did their best to serve us well in the circumstances. I personally expected better because I was a reservation for 8, 4 of them were children and it was the birthday of my wife. in the evening of the boxing days it was not possible in the last minute elsewhere. on the bright side was still open."

"The food was bland and the pasta was overcooked. One pizza was incorrect and had to be sent back to have the pepperoni removed, thankfully the guest wasn't vegetarian. There were fruit flies buzzing around the restaurant. The kids had a good time, so we didn't complain, but we won't be returning. Thankfully, we used Tesco vouchers to pay, so it wasn't too much of a disappointment."

"A very busy Friday evening in Norwich with the fireworks at I booked the table for of us at arrived and were shown immediately to our table. With a seven year old and a nine year old they enjoyed their meal of pasta, dunk and dip. The waiter was very attentive and dealt with them very well. They enjoyed the meal. Everything ordered came out together in a timely way even though the restaurant was filling up. My wife had a pizza that she enjoyed. Altogether a nice evening meal for generations"

"Staff took quite a while to approach us at the main door.. We had arrived mins early, so appreciated that it may be a wait to arrange a table.. we commented that we’d be happy to wait at their bar, to find this isn’t available ?, or at least there isn’t a bar waiting area which is a shame considering the potential of the location. The Assembly Rooms could be a beautiful venue, but the decor doesn’t match up to this. Feels more like an echoing canteen especially when small children run up and down the “wasted” space along the edge of the main room. The sound of their feet bounces off of the walls. The staff are helpful but clearly over stretched on a Saturday. The food was ok.. not much to make you go “wow!”. This was my first experience in ASK Italian, and it was rather, sadly, mediocre"

The staff seemed slightly disorganized and appeared to be annoyed with our inquiries. However, the service was generally quick. My baked pasta was a bit saucy, but the taste and presentation were good. I particularly enjoyed my refreshing nojito and ended up ordering a second one. "booked table about opentable website like by ask website. posting was confirmed by email, but when we arrived restaurant has no record of booking and they must have booked the other asking in milton keynes, the people do that all the time. I'll see if I can fit you. this was not the case after my confirmation, and I found it very dismissed from the employee. she seemed to believe that she did please us to correct the situation and had no interest in finding out why the book system had failed. for our 5 year old son, he had to hunt after boy, because they were not brought with his activity sheet/Menu. asked about the crawl of the hahne, but not enough glasses were delivered. the starter of my life came, but the tomato dive was missing. eating was fair, but because of the quality and taste too expensive. my side salad consisted of rocket, a small amount of red bevel, a half chirschtomatin and a gurke. the rocket is favorable to maximize the margin. all these are relatiw small problems, but so many in one visit suggests that there is no good management. restaurant seemed so difficult for busy Saturday afternoon to keep everyone trouble. I'm trying. I'm not going to go back to this two-way. Too bad we have a few nice meals and a great service on others."

"All the other times i have been to Ask, the service has been polite and friendly. Unfortunatly last night was a massive let down to the company. I phoned the resturant at in the evening and booked a table for people at o clock. We got to the resturant, on time and had to wait minutes before we were seated on the sofa's and told our table wasn't ready, which i found very dissapointing as we had pre-booked it. I also noticed that the table they were planning on seating us, was one that other people were on, so they must of been expecting the people to have finished, which isn't satisfactory as they had obviously not made any other arrangements, and ended up having to make another seater table for us, which wasted even more time. At we were finally seated, and ordered a bottle of wine, which we waited half an hour for, finally when it arrived we ordered another one so we wouldn't have to wait again. The food arrived promptly but due to the bad start we ate the meal and left. This is one of best resturants in Burgess hill, but the staff looked like they didn't know what they were doing. Fortunalty we wern't pressed for time, but if we had been, then it would of messed up our time scehdule."

"This was a mixed experience. I was looking forward to one of my favourite Italian meals: scaloppine al limone. My partner went for a classic spaghetti bolognese. The veal seemed to be a rather thick cut, and was tough. Thankfully, this was replaced with an apology for a chicken cacciatore, which was pretty good. The chef also made a fresh bolognese, rather than simply keeping my husband's meal warm. We almost left, though, at that point, as there were several people coming in not to eat, but one, very loudly on her phone and chatting with the waiter, followed by a fairly obnoxious man who seemed to be collecting a take away. We stayed for dessert, which was good delighted to see that they make zabaglione for only one, which is rare. Overall, service was very good, but the place has all the ambience of a take away. Don't go if you want to have a conversation with a companion."

Mushrooms stuffed with mozzarella and riserva cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic and onions, baked on Italian bread, served with garlic mayonnaise. It took my taste buds on a journey equivalent to a scenic walk in the alps on a sunny day. Service was lovely, smiley, warm, professional and chatty. I loved the kitchen utensil queues in the bright and modern surroundings. Great value, especially if you try one of their fresh from the oven breads."
