"TL;DR: Not worthy of the Bib Gourmand designation I was very disappointed with Salt Yard. We ordered five items and had mixed feelings about the food. Having been to a few other Bib Gourmand rated restaurants, I had high expectations going in. Our order was as follows: Courgette Flower, Slow-cooked Loch Duart Salmon, Burrata, Octopus the Pork Belly. Of the five items the Courgette Flower and Burrata were my favorites. Both dishes were quite nice, although I felt that they were a bit heavy with the honey on the Courgette Flower. The salmon was also good. The last two dishes, the octopus and pork belly, were disappointing. The octopus was overdone to the point that part of the tentacle was hard and dry. The octopus also wasn't very tender. As for the pork belly, I knew I was in trouble when I had to ask the server for a steak knife to try and cut through the skin. And I do mean try because the steak knife couldn't even cut all the way through. The pork was also tough. Service was a bit off the mark as well. I didn't appreciate that they charged for water even if you order still. This fact wasn't brought to our attention when the server asked what kind of water we wanted. There is also a 12.5% service charge which wasn't made clear at the onset of the meal. All in all, Salt Yard underwhelmed."

"Taking a leisurely boat ride on the Avon, I asked the very informative Captain for lunch suggestions and he recommended Joya. Walked in with no real expectations but ended up having a nice meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. The 2 ladies holding the fort were polite and friendly. I ordered the soup of the day and grilled prawns. My son went for spaghetti bolognese. The Mediterranean soup was okay, tasted a bit like thickened pizza sauce. The grilled king prawns were fab as was the pasta. For dessert, ordered the lemon sorbet and creme brulee. The latter was ordered after confirming that it would not disappoint. True to her word, it did not and nor did the excellent 3 scoops of sorbet. At GBP 25pp walked out very satisfied."

"From the outside, it looks like another tacky eatery in a street lined with tacky takeaways. Walk through the door and pleasantly surprised. A little deli counter, a back room then a garden. The garden overlooks a derelict abandoned overgrown garden. Not a problem, I am used to this in Athens. What is the problem, and I don’t see in Athens, tenants throwing rubbish out of their windows into the garden. It is ideal breeding ground for rats. The local environmental health should investigate, and if needed carry out enforcement action. To sit outside or not? Maybe too cool when the sun went in, and too hot if it came out as no shade. I decided to sit inside, near the back door. A red rose on the table is a neat touch. I was the only diner. Oh but we were busier earlier. Strange how I am always told, if you’d have been here when you weren’t here, we were busy. The menu was singurly uninspiring. Why panini’s? Everywhere does paninis. I have never understood why. Or pasta. The choice penne (which I don’t like), or spaghetti (which I dislike slightly less) I chose spaghetti Bolognese. It arrived seemingly quick. I was asked when I placed my order, did I wish for Parmesan cheese? It was added in the kitchen. Usually brought to and added at the table. Spaghetti Bolognese is not an Italian dish. It was an artificial dish with elements of North and South. The spaghetti mediocre at best, the Bolognese sauce excellent. I was going to leave but decided to stay. I chose tiriamasiu for dessert. Coffee, Illy, no thanks. For coffee walk to Madame Waffle or Coffee Aroma. I visited a couple of weeks ago, the previous week I found closed."

"My friend and I ate at Bella Italia this week and it was a disaster. We set ourselves and asked for the vegan menu. Then our waitress came and we ordered from the vegan menu. Make sure it was milk free! When our food arrived, there were chickens on my pasta! I sent it back immediately and then my friend started eating the vegan pizza he ordered. Then I tasted it and stopped, we both said: “That is real cheese!” We asked the manager and she apologized and said that both meals were not vegan! As soon as our vegan meals finally arrived, we were asked if we wanted Parmesan cheese on the pasta. And if we wanted a pudding for dessert. We had already said that we were vegan and could not have milk! Unbelievable! Don't eat here if you don't want to be sick. You have no understanding of what does not mean milk or vegans."

"We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The waitress was very knowledgeable about our dietary restrictions as my son and I both have Celiac disease and my son has additional allergies. The staff made sure to be very careful with our food preparation. They even placed flags on our dishes to indicate they were safe for us to eat."

"We had a vibrant Friday evening with fireworks at around 8 o'clock. We made a reservation in advance, so we didn't have to wait like many others who were turned away. We celebrated birthdays and were seated at the best table. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was beautiful!"
"This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a fast pasta or pizza meal right in Leicester Square. The upstairs area was closed, so the seating downstairs felt a bit cramped and stuffy, but the food was excellent overall."

"This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a meal and a conversation. There is a multi-level parking garage near Hope Street and street parking available after 6pm. The staff is incredibly friendly and the dining areas are clean. The prices are reasonable and the menu offers good value. As it is a chain, you can expect standard fare, but there are occasional specials that add some excitement to the dining experience."

"I went to this restaurant with some friends and found the staff to be friendly. We had a wobbly table for six which was a bit annoying but manageable. I ordered the ribs and found them to be delicious. However, the chips that came with it were burnt, almost resembling the bottom of the bag or leftover bits that were overcooked and crunchy. Additionally, the corn was served cold."

"The restaurant has a soft and relaxing atmosphere. The waitress immediately offers you the option to sit wherever you feel most comfortable. The YELP picture doesn't capture its true essence."

"My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Our family had high hopes for a delicious meal, but we left feeling let down and unsatisfied. Some of us even walked away still hungry."
"This restaurant in Leicester Square is a wonderful spot for a fast pasta or pizza. Unfortunately, the upstairs section was closed during our visit, making the dining area feel a bit cramped and stuffy. Nevertheless, the food was fantastic overall."
"The service was extremely slow tonight. It took 20 minutes just to receive a menu and over an hour to get our starter. Customer service doesn't seem to be a priority at this restaurant."
"Bella Italia is one of several chain restaurants located in the theatre district of Milton Keynes."
"I'm not sure if we were just unlucky, but my visit to Bella Italia was disappointing. The food was unappetizing, dry, and obviously reheated."
"This restaurant is beautiful looking place but the pasta was tasteless We tried three different pasta dishes and all were simply bland."
"This restaurant is a great spot for a quick pasta or pizza right in Leicester Square. Although the upstairs section was closed, the space felt a bit tight and stuffy. However, the food was fantastic overall."

"Don Vito's is a lovely little Newcastle Italian restaurant situated upstairs at the bottom of Pilgrim Street. We visit as a family now and again for the meal deal of 2/3 courses for a set price. The food is good value for the meal deal...price. I get Potato skins for starter and Margherita pizza for main. The Potato skins are a bit too salty but other than that they are nice. The pizza is an authentic Italian style pizza. My other family members enjoy the Calzones. It is always very quiet whenever we have visited which is usually in the early evening during the week. There is something lacking in atmosphere of the restaurant, though I can't put my finger on exactly what. The black wooden dining chairs are also very uncomfortable, so I feel there are some improvements that could make the restaurant better."
