"the food was cheap, and the portions were good, the staff was brilliant, cheerful and very helpful. the atmosphere was beautiful, with a view over piccadilly gardens that became better than the night dark. free homemade limonade at the arrival was also a beautiful note and tasted wonderful. the employees gave enough time to choose drinks first, then we left again so that we could choose food orders. the service was fast and the food was hot. the personal did not suggest us at all. so all in all, it was a nice experience, I would highly recommend."

"Visited here last night for our daughter 's 13th birthday meal (booked a few months ago via email prompt and friendly response). Absolutely lovely evening. The food was delicious, the Christmas atmosphere was lovely and the man that looked after our table was great too! Really looked after us all. Our daughter and her friends had a great time. A lovely surprise too that the chocolate cake was brought over and the staff and other diners sang 'Happy Birthday '! Cannot wait to return! A huge thank you to all involved in making our daughter 's 13th birthday so special. I can highly recommend. Thank you!!"

"It was my first time in this beautiful restaurant. My husband has been before. Today we went together to celebrate our 24th Wedding Anniversary. I can honestly say I can't fault it, the staff, customer service, atmosphere, the freshness of the decoration of the restaurant and the food were excellent. The staff were attentive and told us about ordering on our phone. Or if we weren't sure we could order through our waitress. We worked out quite quickly how to order by phone using a QR Code and our table number. We can honestly say, we had delicious, beautiful flavours of our dishes today and definitely will come back again soon to try out other beautiful dishes as there was so many to choose from. "Visited Sunday 21/04/2024 at midday. Had garlic bread starter which I shared with my wife and we both agreed it was one of the nicest we’ve had. Tried the meatball piccante and my wife had the gnocchi for our mains. All good. Though initially my pasta seemed cold but it hadn’t been well mixed with the meatball sauce which was hot. Overall though we both enjoyed the mains. For dessert my wife had the caramel sundae which was really good. I tried the pistachio and raspberry tart, which was ok but dry without any cream or ice cream. So that was a little disappointing but overall, not a bad meal. Staff were excellent, prompt and polite service, attentive enough without being over bearing. Overall we felt it was a decent lunch and would definitely go back."

"My family and I visited Ask Italian tonight because it was the place we went to with our daughter, she died on the 3rd Jan this year. We asked to sit in the seats we used to sit in when we went with her and it felt very special. Shannon was very accommodating of this and even helped take a photo to mark the special day. She went above and beyond any hospitality service that we have had anywhere in the past and we left feeling thrilled with our night. Thank you Shannon. You really helped make our time there perfect. "We had a great evening at ask yeovil, the food was amazing the only problem we had was over an hour wait for our started to come. We asked one waiter who was very rude and walk away saying he would check and never came back! Then, after wait another 10 minutes we ask another lady who was lovely and explain our order has been missed and it was on it way, also offing us a free bottle of wine or a discount. We appreciate the waitress who did an amazing job to resolve the issue but the long wait and rudeness of the other wait made our night less enjoyable!"

"Visiting the Vue next door, we wanted a quick decent meal. Ask didn't disappoint. I had the small calamari to start, which was good and not overcooked. It needed a little salt though and I had to ask for condiments. Main was seafood linguine in a tomato sauce. This was good and plenty of seafood with good flavours. I did sample their chilli oil which is fabulous and has been noted for a future pizza visit! The icing on the cake was Tiramisu to finish. This was delicious and actually surprisingly light too! Top job! I would have given a 5 but little things like having to ask for condiments, no bowl to put the shells in from the seafood, maybe even a finger bowl?. These little details would have raised the bar. Overall though, very nice and won't disappoint. Good for a pre cinema meal!"

I asked myself to sit on the table at the window and the manager took up my question with a smile. the food was hot, delicious and beautiful presented. we had a pizza,- salmon-nicoise salad and the pulled bark pasta. the desert was delicious. the only thing was that the app didn't work and we waited a bit for the bill."

"We were shown to a table and then ignored so we decided to order online. We then waited some time for our starters. When the starters arrived I mentioned that we still had no drinks. We finished our starters and when the plates were cleared I again asked for our drinks. These did eventually arrive and were removed from the bill. During the long wait for our main course a member of staff asked if we wanted to order anything else not realising we were still waiting for our main. Whilst we were there a couple were sat at a table and given menus but walked out without ordering. Another group had to go and find a member of staff to take their order. The food was very average and overpriced for what it was and the decor very tired. AVOID!"

"Had a terrible experience with managers of the Lakeside branch on Sat 25th Nov at about 4.40pm. I went in with my family of four and the restaurant was almost empty with only 6 people max. One of the manager's, Nicola asked us if we made a booking online otherwise we could not be sitted with a rude tone. We responded it was almost empty, then she hit us with the truth saying there is only one chef that afternoon and too much for the chef. We went online and realised the restaurant does not require a mandatory booking. The other female manager came and noted the same thing. She also refused to give me her name whe. inpolitely asked to report my experience. It is titally out of other and strongly feel there were being lazy and lacked customer focus. These managers will run the business to the ground as they only care about their wages and not the customers or the business. No wonder it was the restaurant with 6 custimers and almost empty at the time. Ask italia should investigate this to avoid more negative customer experience."
