"This restaurant absolutely exceeded my expectations! I ordered takeout for dinner, and everything was spectacular. The food was a solid 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, and the Lamb Rogan Josh served with saffron rice and naan—each bite was a delight. The service was also top-notch, earning another 5-star rating; the staff was friendly and efficient. As for the atmosphere, even in takeout form, you could sense the inviting vibe of the restaurant. A fantastic dining experience overall!"

"I was visiting from London and joined friends for a birthday dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. I really appreciated the service; the staff were friendly and approachable. The food was good, though I wasn't particularly fond of the dish I ordered. However, the portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were appealing (I tried my friend's lobster ravioli and liked that even more). Overall, it's a lovely place run by genuinely wonderful people. Service: Dine-in."

"I last reviewed the Navarra in 2013 in glowing terms, and since then it has become our special place, the first choice for birthdays and anniversaries. We were looking forward to trying it again now it has been extended and refurbished, but were very disappointed. The food is still EXCELLENT but you can 't relax and enjoy it. We barely had chance to open the new menu before the waiter arrived to take our order. We asked for more time, but a couple of minutes later he was back. I said we weren 't ready to order and he replied, What? Not even starters? He returned yet again before we were ready to order. We were eating early and only three tables were occupied so we couldn 't see what the hurry was. We usually like to see the specials board but there wasn 't one, and we didn 't learn till afterwards that there was a printed specials menu that we were not given. Once the food arrived, the pressure didn 't let up. I object to staff trying to clear my plate before I 've finished eating! This didn 't just happen once, but FOUR times, twice with the starter and twice with the main. This is totally unacceptable and we didn 't order dessert because we felt so unwelcome. At one time you could linger and enjoy your meal, but not now. Coupled with the loud music, this is not the restful venue we knew and loved. Sadly, we will now have to find a new favourite place. They were in a hurry to get rid of us, so we are in no hurry to go back."

"I could have titled this as don’t be put off by the exterior because I know some folks will be. It’s not the biggest of restaurants but it certainly is cosy. If your looking for a typical Italian restaurant then this may not be for you. Sandro, the owner is a truly lovely bloke and does all the cooking but he’s not the best at “front of house”. But let’s get on to the food. There is quite a large selection for such a small place ranging from the standard pizza, pasta and Italian dishes to a specials board. The prices are very reasonable and they now have a liquor license. Our last visit was a party of 11. We had a selection of pizza and pasta dishes plus a couple of starters. The food arrived together so that was a welcome treat and it was very nice. Generous portions meant some of us had food left on our plates (not me I hasten to add). My advice is to take it on face value. It’s great value, nice and intimate and local too. I have eaten at better Italian restaurants but I’ve also eaten at a lot worse. Give it a try, I think you’ll enjoy it. Ciao"

"I cannot praise this restaurant high enough. the service is excellent and that begins with the minute that it is in the door to foot. their order is taken when they are ready with a friendly waitress. the kitchen must be well organized because all their meals come together (6 people) they can no longer be attentive, but not all 5 minutes at the table. I don't think the price is too high. I'm afraid to say too much if it's too busy to get a table. thanks to all employees"

"I came here with my husband, my son and his girlfriend, last night. We ordered a three course meal and drinks were always available due to many lovely waiting staff passing by and always ready to help! Our food was amazing and came quickly despite it being very busy. No complaints about the food, give my regards to the chef as the food was absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were very generous for a good price! We all ordered desert which was decorated very nicely and the mango cheese cake tasted amazing! The waiting staff were very polite, and one young girl was extremely funny! The two older italian men were very warm hearted and sweet, the man behind the bar which i assume was the manager was also very welcoming and friendly! Amazing night, 10/10 from all of us!"

"BOOK IN ADVANCE . My family and I had a delicious dinner here tonight. There were 4 of us and we each said “this is the tastiest xyz”. I had the Chilli con carnie for my main course and loved it (I honestly think it is the tastiest I have ever had) likewise my chocolate dessert was to die for. My family have all agreed that we will definitely be booking a table here every time we come back to the Island. It’s great to find a warm, welcoming and delicious, local restaurant."

"This restaurant is fantastic! I have dined here multiple times, both before and after the lockdown, during my lunch hour, in the evening with my partner (who particularly enjoys the sea bass), with my Mum, and with one of my best friends. I always order the spaghetti with extra chillis and raw onion, which is absolutely divine and prepared just the way we like it. My Mum, who is a great cook herself, also loves the food here, and we are planning to return with a larger family group once the lockdown is lifted. The manager is amazing and makes us feel welcome, a true gentlemen. The only issue I have is that the waitresses can take quite a while to bring the bill and collect payment, showing a bit of unprofessionalism. However, this minor issue does not deter me from continuing to dine at this superb restaurant."

"We had a great experience on a busy Tuesday evening. This family run restaurant was full but had a friendly, efficient atmosphere. There were 8 of us and all of our food choices were very good. "6 of us dined here last night. This restaurant was recommended to us a couple who were with us at the time. Starters: the waiter did not bring all starters up together, had to remind him of two missing starters. Mains: 3 steaks ordered (2 well done, 1 medium). Waiter brought 2 steaks to the table. He didn 't know which one was medium/well done. I received the wrong one. Friend received the right one but couldn 't start his meal as peppercorn sauce was missing. Then finally after waiting 15 minutes, another steak arrived (which should have been my one). The waiter then wanted to swap my steak over with my friend. He was having none of that and complained that he wasn 't going to eat a steak that had been given to another person (me) and had been cut in the middle. The cook evenually came out, aggresively saying, 'What 's the problem? ' Once explained he started arguing with the waiter in front of everyone (unprofessional). Neither of my other two friends received a new, correctly cooked steak. I had to eat my meal while they watched on. Disgusting, I felt bad for my two friends with no meal plus I felt pressurised to finish it quickly. We will never set foot in this restaurant again. I 've heard that it is very good but when things go wrong, they do not know how to handle it. No doubt we got out of there as fast as we could."

"Noticed the pasta/pizza salad and a glass of wine deal for £19.95. I had been to the British history museum and needed to kill some time before meeting family and my partner who had a meeting close by. Pasta was delicious as was the wine. Sat outside, watching the world go by and reading a good book whilst enjoying a further 2 glasses of wine. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped me when needing to shelter from the rain or from keeping my drink safe when needing to pop out. Thanks so much!"

"This restaurant is absolutely stunning, and so are the staff. The warm atmosphere really enhances the dining experience. Our meals were all excellent, whether it was fish, steak, or pizza, and we had a group of about 14 people. The cuisine is authentically Italian. We all felt very welcome and well cared for. The complimentary cake and congratulations were a lovely touch. Giuseppe, I can only say perfection! We will definitely visit again."
