"we enjoyed some really delicious sushi in michiko sushino, but the hectic atmosphere in the restaurant and bad service tasted an otherwise beautiful experience. we sat right at the door and stayed very aware that the people come and go during the meal. Not the blame of the restaurant, but some of the other guests were very loud, with loud arguments, trying to calm weeping babies (zwinen) or try to control mischievous dogs (we were surprised that they are allowed in the restaurant, regardless of the famous roam dog owner). it was also difficult to get the waiter's attention and it seemed just a few employees for a busy restaurant, again perhaps not her fault, as we know that it is difficult to rent in the hospitality right now. Finally there was only one toilet that, for a restaurant sitting over 30 is not enough and lead to queuing. However, the bill was reasonable and again, eating was really good what is the main thing. not sure that we will soon return what is a scandal, as it is local for us."

"As usual the food was of a very high standard but due to the fact that no manager was available and our regular waitress was also not there, service was not as good as it usually is. There were two comi waiters who tried very hard, were most polite and did their utmost to serve in a proper way. It was just a pity that they had not received the training that the regular staff seem to have. We and our friends will, of course, go again and hope that by next time there will be some more experienced waiting staff available to serve."

"This simple Japanese restaurant serves the kind of food served in izakayas (pubs) in Japan. Due to its proximity to the Japanese school in London nearby there are lots of Japanese customers – indeed I have hardly seen a westerner eating here. It has very basic décor but is good value. At the meal today, breaded pork curry had nicely cooked pork with a good coating, served with rice and a curried sauce. The sace itself was a bit one-dimensional in terms of spicing but the pork was good (13/20). "Sushimo is a fantastic little sushi restaurant in Wood Green/Turnpike Lane with good quality food and decent service. I has previously been ordering takeaway during lockdown and wanted to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. The sushi rolls (maki, inside out rolls and signature rolls) all have good ratios of filling to rice and the fish tastes fresh and ofna high grade. Sashimi is also of a substantial cut and relatively good value with a wide selection available. The accompaniments such as takoyaki, friend tentacles, miso aubergine and tempura are all well done as well. There wasn't a dish I could fault on either of the two visits I made. The premises is clean and tables are spaced sufficiently during this pandemic. Guests are asked to sign in on arrival and provide track and trace details and hand sanitiser is provided. A really good restaurant and good value for sushi in North London."

"This weekend I went to my first 'All you can eat ' sushi for my friends birthday. I was a bit perplexed about the concept, the amount of food and the quality of the food we will get. I went with three of my friends who are addicted all you can eat sushi. I was the only one who didn 't know this restaurant in the group. The 'All you can eat ' menu is called Tasting menu in this restaurant. Far away from the usual Japanese chef 's special tasting menu, here you were offered two pieces of paper (see pictures below). "Disgraceful customer service! The three of us ordered via the QR code as requested, but there was an error on my friend’s phone. When my friend called the waitress over to ask she was quite abrupt and started touching the screen (NOT covid friendly) When the food started coming out we quickly realised that my friend’s food had been ordered twice so she instantly told the waitress who only responded the kitchen had already cooked it and we would have to take it. We explained we did not want it, and would not eat it but she grew increasingly angry and aggressive with us and started insisting it wasn’t her fault, and that we ordered it so we would have to pay for it. Still shocked how much she argued with us, but eventually she agreed not to force us to have the extra food and then stormed into the kitchen and started shouting quite loudly we could hear quite clearly in the restaurant. The atmosphere after that was so tense and awful, we half expected her to try and charge us when we asked for the bill. Thankfully she didn’t but there was a laughable enforced “service” charge added I simply didn’t have the patience to argue it, we just needed to leave at that point. Will never be returning, which is a shame because the food was nice. We’ve often ordered take out from here also but after what happened today we will no longer be giving them our custom."
