"On Open Table we picked a waterfront view restaurant for 7:30pm. When we arrived, the restaurant name was not clearly marked and we found out it was a Hooka Lounge, not the restaurant it was made out to be in Open Table. They directed us to the inside restaurant where the owner or manager greeted us rudely and told us we should know what restaurant we were booking and that he had a full house coming in at 8:00 pm (1/2 the restaurant was empty or tables were getting up). We were very upset as it was late and we were now far from all other places to eat so we sat by the bar. He finally conceeded to sit us at a regular table. We ordered drinks and the waitress came back to tell us they couldn 't make those drinks. We ordered a 2nd set of drinks and the same thing happened. I then just ordered a glass of wine. Restaurant was so dark, we could barely read the menu. Food was good but they wanted to bring out apps and food all at once after we told them we wanted oysters first with drinks. I would not recommend nor go back"

"Visited Friday afternoon, restaurant was very quiet only a few people dining. We chose this restaurant due to a Voucher we had been given as a present. I am a vegetarian and found the set menu very limited. Starter was awful, had the beetroot one, not sure what the white food in the middle was but when you cut it just leaked white milky sauce over the plate! Partner had chicken wings, sauce was tasty but too messy and tricky to eat in a restaurant. The mains ordered, a veggie burger which was disgusting, looked liked a meat burger and was very over cooked and chewy. My partner tasted it, I took it out of the bun and just ate that and the chips which were hot and tasty. My partner had the meat burger and said it was delicious. The only saving dishes to this meal were the desserts, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie. I would rather have eaten that 3x over than what I had been dished up prior. Drinks over priced, 1 small coke in a bottle and 1 small Moretti bottle £11 and then we had to pay service charge on top. Wouldn’t return, we’ve got another voucher to use but will be giving this away. Left hungry and disappointed."

"we had a waiting queue to enter the building from 6.50 to 7.15 together with many other people. that meant that we were too late for our booking around 19 o'clock. around 8.20 we had to start with only served and break our main courses. no one approached our table after our order to offer further drinks or to take off starter plates. we approached the personal in the opposite to ask for our main courses (whoever in the suit jacket) said that the net would be right with us, another 15 minutes passed and we could not wait anymore, so we had to go. for the delay we have not been offered a declaration or otherwise. the access to the building with a person who sits each one is a bad system that stood us in the cold on the road."

"Very poor. More like a takeaway with tables. Didn’t have the options advertised on their website. Order via a QR code and pay upfront. No waiting staff- just servers. Food took half an hour to come and it all comes at once (starters mains) and then the drinks came after. Food was edible but nothing special. Toilets weren’t clean. I will never go back"

"We chose to dine in, it had seating but it's predominantly a take-away service so there were three tables to choose from. The service was quick and polite, with food being freshly made. We arrived not long after Umami opened, so the staff serving made sure the table we at was wiped down and clean for us. The food was said to be out roughly 15 minutes from ordering but it came out quicker than that. My sister ordered teriyaki tofu bento with duck oishi steamed buns (eyes bigger than her belly! Whilst I had tempura aubergine with vegetable gyoza. My sister enjoyed the bento buns, flavouring was lovely, generous amount of everything! She almost fell in love with the buns after one bite and her inner gollum came out. The tempura was very hot, but light enough to not feel stuffed as was the gyoza, pleasant and definitely able to enjoy everything. "Neighborhood Sushi Joint in Stoke Newington. We went as coward of 4 on New Year's Eve for early dinner before the family all distributed to their respective celebrations. "We visited Koto Restaurant on North Parade for Sunday lunch for the first time, and we wish we had tried it sooner. The ramen broth was incredibly delicious, with a gentleman next to us remarking that it tasted just like what he had in Japan. "There is a strong online presence of a lunch menu for Kisaku. After confirming what my wife would like me to pick up, I was told upon arrival that there was no lunch menu. There was a similar dish for $12.50 instead of $7.50 on the regular menu. I felt completely disappointed to have traveled there to be offered a 65% price increase. The owner did not apologize. I went elsewhere and will never return. The place was completely empty at 1 pm, and I am not surprised. By the way, Kiasu is a Hokkien word that denotes a selfish and greedy attitude that arises from fear of missing out. I think the restaurant should change its name."
