"Service was very gracious. My leg is currently in a cast, and I arrived by wheelchair. The waiter helped us manoeuver over the step into the restaurant and around some of the tight corners. The waiter very helpfully prevented us from over ordering by suggesting we hold off on getting tempura until the rest of the food had arrived. We indeed didn't need the tempura after all. The tiny restaurant wasn't crowded at Monday lunchtime. There two other couples and a little group of Japanese businessmen. Our orders arrived very swiftly and the yakitori was kindly held back while we munched happily on salad and maki rolls. We shared maki rolls (salmon skin, california, spicy tuna) as well as yakitori and wafu salad. Attention to detail on the maki rolls was really impressive. For one thing, the rice was at the correct temperature. All too often, sushi rice is served too cold. The compression of the rice was just right too. Not falling apart when dipped in soy, but not noticeably compact either. The tuna in the spicy maki rolls had a beautiful texture and was a nice uniform cut. No scruffy scraps in the maki rolls here, which is all too often the case elsewhere. The tobiko in the california rolls was generous and there was flesh as well as skin in the crispy salmon skin rolls. Portion sizes for the wafu salad and chicken yakitori (not grilled over charcoal) were both generous. Both good, but otherwise not particularly remarkable. For dessert we shared mochi ice cream. We had one piece each of green tea, vanilla and chocolate, though we were offered a choice. The chocolate was stunning, being of good quality dark bitter chocolate, rolled in cocoa. Next time we will have three chocolate mochi, thank you. All of the flavours were pleasant though, and not overly sweet. Dessert was garnished with fresh berries and small slices of rice crispy square containing a little black sesame. In summary, we had high quality sushi that was priced accordingly. For those not constrained by office lunch hours I would urge people to take the 20% discount offered in the afternoon between 14:00 and 17:00. If I had taken the price more into account I would have rated Miyako 3.5 instead of 4. Wine is exhorbitant, with the cheapest white priced at £26 a bottle."

"My husband for the date night when we love sushi and we wanted to try something new as his first time in Genji . Wow wanted to start from the moment we went, we were greeted by the manager and asked what table we like. At a table of our choice, as we are on a date, the staff recommended a bottle of seasonal wine that was perfect after a hot day. With the very helpful Radek and our amazing waitress melissa, the service was amazing and when it came to dinner. It was the best sushi I've eaten for a long time. So fresh and full of taste and so creative. And the Veggie role was out when the world. Great Sushi Square . Very recommended"

"a no annoying and no cost saved taking into a greatcross with at least one scottish premiership footballer a regular visitor for the vegetarian pizza I told. the service is friendly, although the man who works there is on himself and he can sometimes grumble a bit, but after a few visit he recognizes them and he will talk to them and he evaluates his regular customers. the thunder wood zone and the chicken parody are the two recommended of me for this takeaway, although the pizzas are also a beautiful choice. my friend had the burger, but described the hühnerburger as tasting cheap, but the rindfleischburger was in order. a good choice to finish a night, especially with a few bars and the Lava/Ignite nightclub placed close by."

"Yesterday we delivered our food. the take out boxes are really noble, and perfection for what followed. the best sushi I've ever consecrated! tonight I'm feeding in, by chance I'm on the way back to my airbnb by a full day of shopping. "Birthday Treat On 14/08/24 I family and a friend attended here. I gave my name to Daniella and she said our friend was waiting downstairs. I was wearing on my head a happy birthday head band. My name saying happy birthday was not put up on the screen. Later Daniella approached me and asked if I gave my name and I said yes I asked why my name and happy birthday was not on the screen. She said she will put it up after several hours it was not up and I told the lady manager that I was disappointed with the appalling customer service and will not pay service charge. She said ok. I asked if there were any complementary dessert for the birthday person and I was told I have to buy my own dessert. My family member bought the dessert and I told the restaurant that I cannot have milk however, when the dessert came it contained milk. The lady manager came and said oh you dessert with a candle contains milk and it was taken away and gave me another without milk. When the final bill was presented service charge was still added. The chef Edele was excellent and very respectful. My happy birthday greeting with my name was on the screen when we were ready to go home. I would not return to this restaurant again because of bad customer service,disrespectful to me and ruin my birthday."

"I went there for my 30th birthday meal which was booked by my husband. The experience in there was great. I loved watching the chef cook my food in front of me and enjoyed socialising with them. Really grateful to be able to eat halal chicken on the menu. Food is expensive, but experience was nice and worth it. I ate the ‘hibachi chicken’ which I think needed more flavour and was quite dry but to be honest I wanted to go there more for the experience. When you sit with other customers it feels like you’re on an excursion abroad because we’re all experiencing this together and end up saying bye to each other."

"Open every day for lunch and dinner, this hard working Japanese restaurant deserves every ounce of the success it has. The food here is delicious, colourful, and relatively nutritious, while the setting is fairly simple, clean and informal with long tables and benches often shared with neighbouring groups. On the menu there's a choice of authentic Bento Boxes, Ramen, Yakisoba udon, Sashimi, Rice Gohan and various salads and side dishes pretty much everything you'd expect from a Japanese restaurant in the UK. With Bento Boxes from about £10 upwards, and Ramen from about £7, it's very reasonably priced as Japanese restaurants go. The only thing they don't do well is desserts but that's a common theme across all Japanese restaurants I've been to in the UK with Tenkaichi offering just one choice: a Japanese red bean pancake roll served with a plum sauce. It has firmly established itself as one of Cardiff's best and most reasonably priced Japanese restaurants, and as a result is hugely popular at lunchtimes as well as in the evenings so you may have to wait a short while for a seat at times. They also have a separate (but similar) takeaway menu."
