"Unfortunately, my papaya salad was certainly not freshly prepared.... the tomatoes were soaky and also the fresh salad vegetables with gum-like bite also the dressing was not pikant. The chicken with vegetables and cashew nuts was all right from the general taste, but also the meat appeared to me with a taste, as warmed up. My companions had more luck with pasta dishes and spring rolls. But I will no longer come through this bad luck. If I pay about 50 € for two bottles of water, an appetizer and a main dish, I expect a better quality. The service was extremely friendly!"

"Vegan options are in somerset in the regular limited and although they sell meat here, ebisu clearly mark vegetarian and vegan options on their menu. After a day in wsm we have a take. I would probably recommend to sit and eat instead of taking away if possible, as I always think that something is lost in taste when stumbled into a box. Nevertheless, eating was great, it didn't necessarily feel authentic japanese in terms of lightness, but it tasted everything really good. will definitely come back, but next time they sit back and it was as good as the first time if not better! updated by the previous review on 2021-09-19"

"Japanese is not your only option should you visit Hana; they also offer a good selection of Korean food as well. I had beef Bi Bim Bap for dinner last night and it was delicious. This selection of meat, vegetables, rice and a raw egg is bought to the table in a piping hot stone pot. The rice is at the bottom separated from the stone by a small layer of sesame oil so, after allowing the dish to sizzle a little to crispen the rice, you add the accompanying hot sauce and mix so that the egg cooks through. I loved it."

"I have a lot of the taro restaurant, its terrace is beautiful, similar in barcelona have nothing to envy. but despite being one of the most glamorous restaurants I think in barcelona there are many like the one I said before they offer for very cheap prices high quality menus, if you look at the traditional menu of perpicar has tremendous tapas and Japanese combinations!"

"We had a 6pm booking and service started approximately 6:25. Our server was very nice, professional and quick after a delayed start. The food was very good, and we enjoyed both the food and service. After a very nice meal with a variety of starters, sushi, maki, we were ready to consider dessert. At 7:30pm, a different server came to our table and told us that we had to leave because they had another booking for our table. This was after they had just seated another party of 4 without a booking at the table next to ours. The server was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was no notice about a 90 minute time period prior. After spending £227 on our bill we were made to feel unwelcome and were hurried out the door. Even though the food was good, and we live locally in Richmond, we will never return after this experience. As a family of four people, to be told to leave technically after an hour of service is absurd. They will not be successful if the unprofessional service and attitude continues. Really unfortunate and bad experience."

"Our 4th anniversary. We usually go up, but it wasn't possible this year. To be honest, the food was just as good as where we usually dinate for far and much more of it we had to take some away. The staff was very friendly and funny and we would recommend you visit there. The service was fast and the food delicious!!"

"absolutely phenomenal eating, very authentic, not excessively salted or tasting of preservatives plus the nudes? really freshly tasted, the texture was brilliant. Moreover, we are both vegetarian, so can confirm that all veggie food is stellar, especially the sweet gyozas were crisp at the side, well cooked with a delicious hearty part. the waiter was beautiful (the one who was a tad nervous! bless him! so polite, very appreciated the care) and all workers seemed so nice. oh beautiful ceramic also; I fawned over the green tea cup."

"!!!!!!!!!!AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! £27 for a stone cold kebab that took 1.5 hours to come. Staff are awful in the shop, super rude and hung up the phone to me. Manager Barrish ‘doesn’t speak English’. Whilst on the phone to the kebab shop I heard in the background lots of shouting and swearing until the poor boy who answers the phone was ordered to shut the phone down. Cheesy chips and kebabs with two drinks for £27! Driver isn’t on their books either. Don’t waste your time or money. Thrown straight in the bin. Worst experience ever."

"We've been to Pan Asia periodically for the past years or thereabouts. We regularly bring friends and family here when we want to give them a good Asian meal. Our last visit was August The food is genuinely South-East Asian; I've not...been to Korea so cannot comment on the authenticity of that part of the menu other than to say that it is delicious! The Malaysian and Thai dishes are authentic the chef is very happy to increase the spice level if required. My wife is Malaysian and when she is homesick this is where she comes for a taste of home! The sushi is fresh and the best I've found in Nottingham so far and I am fussy about this! Sometimes there can be a wait for it, but that is because it is being made up fresh. For a large order of sushi it is advised to order ahead when you book the table. The Dragon Roll is fun and tasty! The staff are always attentive and helpful, but never pushy. They will check if the used dishes are finished with and remove them once you are happy."

"What a great finding! This may not be the best sushi you have ever had, but if you are in the mood for sushi, and you want to have something better than the usual fast-sushi' chains, without paying a lot more, this may be your place. Another thing worth mentioning is that they have temaki (the seaweed and rice cone with fish inside), which is not usual, and they looked really good. The sushi was done at the moment of the order, in front of me, and it was super fresh and light in the stomach. I would recommend trying the ones with fresh wasabi, as it's something I love and that you won't find everywhere!"

"Last year my friend came to visit me in Edinburgh and she discovered this Japanese restaurant that I had never discovered. I left Edinburgh three months later to study for a master's degree in England and returned to Edinburgh again last week. The weather started last week was not good, cold, rainy, foggy. But when I set foot in this Japanese restaurant again, I was surprised by the short trip. You can imagine it on a rainy evening with dim lights and everything in fog. Walking alone on Princes Street with an umbrella, the fog and the castle, then walk into the alley and find this small restaurant. And then enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine alone. Memories and touches come flooding back to your heart, and you can enjoy a moment of tranquility and comfort."

"If you want a Japanese delivery with the best classic dishes in Edinburgh, I would say this is the best. I have checked the other Japanese delivery and the menu is not as extensive as this one. I ordered quite a huge selection of food...to have a proper taste of their food. The fish was fresh I have to say. The sushi and the temaki rice are great as well but they tend to put too much rice so the whole thing becomes like a big clump with too much rice. I know the bigger portion the bigger the value but with Japanese sushi and temaki it needs to be moderately supplied to ensure it does not destroy the fresh fish flavour. The fried chicken chicken karaage seems to be a bit on a dry side but they supplied plenty of the chicken for the portion. The agedashi tofu has a harder tofu than I thought but good broth. The soft shell crab tempura was almost not worth it with just 2 or 3 pieces of crab so best to avoid. The only highlight I thought was definitely the Aubergine with Miso Sauce. The aubergine was properly roasted to provide intense flavour and the thick miso sauce really complemented the aubergine. The dishes were clearly prepared with a thought of delivery quick and roughly prepared to mimic Japanese food. I have to say there is definitely room for improvement and they really need to improve on the quality of the food."

"Sushiya is nestled between two other much bigger buildings on Dalry Road near Haymarket and if you blink you 'll probably miss it as it 's only around a third of the size of its neighbours. My little sister is somewhat obsessed with all things Japanese, so when she came up to visit last month, she jumped at the chance of eating at an authentic Japanese restaurant. We had Inari and chicken Yakitori for starters (along with a cup of very unremarkable green tea) which were both very nice but perhaps a tad too pricey at what amounted to £3 a mouthful. Fearing the same cost/size ratio from the sushi we opted to order from elsewhere on the menu. I had chicken teriyaki (with a bowl of miso soup) whilst my sister plumped for a bowl of chicken ramen; and by bowl I mean vat that dish was freakin ' huge! Both are fairly staple dishes for a Japanese restaurant and were equally acceptable if not outstanding but what struck me about both (especially when taking into consideration what I said about the size of the starters) is that this place 's portion control is way out of whack the mains were huge and I struggled to finish mine, my sister gave up halfway through. That 's not the worst thing in the world but I can 't help but feel that I would have been happier paying slightly less for a portion I could have comfortably managed. That 's not to sound like I 'm being cheap (besides the non sushi mains a very reasonably priced anyway) it 's just that I 'm begrudged to leave food I 've paid for. As opposed to stole. Obviously. The service was okay and the waitresses were friendly enough but we did wait for around forty five minutes for our main courses to come. As for its facilities, the interior is small but well kept. It just about barely escapes feeling cramped when full but that 's the kind of setting you come to expect from communal eating bars like these. Size then is an obvious limitation for small lunch bars so it proved to be somewhat surprising when customers were continually turned away due to the establishment being full despite the fact that there was an unoccupied reserved table big enough for a party of seven who (I learned from overhearing the waitresses) were already over half an hour late. Surely this isn 't good business sense; I understand that a reservation of seven is certainly better than the prospect of no custom at all but at the same time there needs to be a line drawn where you lose your reservation and it 's your fault. The seven eventually swaggered in with no hint of apology or excuse as to their tardiness. I hated them a little bit. Whinge and moan from me then and it 's certainly not directed at the restaurant itself it 's more because a) I deplore lateness and b) I really want to see little restaurants like this stay open; they 're three a penny in other parts of the world but we genuinely don 't have all too many of them in the UK and it 's poorly behaved customers along with the reluctance to discipline them (i.e. by cancelling their reservation) which threaten their very existence. All in all then, Sushiya proved very acceptable for a Saturday lunch. I 'm not all too sure I 'd go out of my way to go there again, or that the mood would ever strike me to just pop along; but for aficionados of Japanese cuisine, it 's certainly worth a look. The Water Situation: Water served happily and without fuss."

"I don't understand why this restaurant has such high ratings. The experience was quite mediocre overall. The service was consistently poor; the staff was rude, slow, and frequently forgot our requests. The sashimi was nearly frozen—definitely not fresh enough. I might consider ordering delivery from here again, but I wouldn't eat in the restaurant again. The rolls fell apart, the avocado wasn't ripe, and the spicy roll was overwhelmed with too much mayonnaise. Overall, it was a disappointment. Our dinner for three cost £95. Rating: B."

"I was with my daughter and her boyfriend the night before her 21st birthday. We were confronted by a loud and pushy waiter who encouraged them to choose expensive cocktails and his favourite menu items. The bill came to £168 with what appeared to be a mandatory service charge of 12.5% ...... certainly not good value for money, as we all left the restaurant still feeling hungry, after spending, I repeat, £168 for 3 people! There was also no reference to my daughter's birthday, even though I asked for it to be celebrated on the restaurant's Special Instructions. Will probably not go there again."
