"Our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. It was very quiet, with only about 15 people eating. My colleague and I shared a Tomahawk steak, which ended up being more expensive than we were told. We had to wait 20 minutes for our starters, and then another 50 minutes for our main course. When it finally arrived, we had to send it back to the kitchen to be reheated because it had been sitting out and gotten cold. Our waiter Matteo started off nice but became less helpful once it came time to pay the bill. The bill included a 12.5% service charge, which I was considering asking to have removed. Overall, I would not choose to visit this restaurant again."

"We recently visited Maxwell's as a group of five, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The chicken wings and frickles were especially amazing—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The menu had something for everyone, and everything we ordered was served hot and full of flavor. What really stood out to us was how accommodating the staff were, especially with our friends who brought their baby. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, providing high chairs and helping us settle in with ease. Their attentiveness and friendliness made the whole experience even more enjoyable, and we felt well taken care of the entire time. Thank you, Maxwell's, for a lovely evening! We can’t wait to return."

"we have eaten here before the pre-COVID and whether it is due to the situation, the menu is much restricted. my risotto was very nice, but my man said the fish and chips were average. I don't think we'll be harassing each other until the dings are normal again."

"We were visiting Bristol from the Lakes District and we walked past this place one evening and the smell coming from the restaurant smelt incredible. We immediately stopped and looked inside and saw a fantastic atmosphere, beautiful ambient lighting, nice features like a blossom tree decorative scooter. We looked at the menus and they had loads of options (including vegetarian vegan). We booked the very next day. When we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and taken to our seats. The waiter who served us was fantastic and gave really good guidance on options we might like given on what we described we liked didn’t like and presented some great options which we went with. The food was unbelievable so full of flavour! Every dish that each one of us ordered was sensational. I would highly recommended as a starter, their poppadoms with the sauce tray (mango chutney, mint yoghurt, etc). You’ll be pleased with any dish you order, I’m almost certain of it! Halfway through, we had to rush off to an appointment we had that day, the chefs team went above and beyond and helped package all of food to takeaway so we wouldn’t miss our appointment and could still enjoy the rest later. One dish got left behind and the waiter came running out to give it to us, we were halfway up the street! The guy was a total legend, apologies I never caught your name. Highly recommend if you visit Bristol, and love Indian food. We will be coming back! The reviews speak for themselves for this place 5* 10/10. Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Vegetarian options: Vegan options Dietary restrictions: In our group we had a group of 4, 1 of which was a vegetarian and another 1 is on a carnivore and strict diet."

"The Hide is a lively pub where you can go to catch up with friends over a few drinks. The selection of beers available are decent. The atmosphere here is what I've come to expect in pubs across London buzzing with excitement! The food at The Hide is also quite decent, and should you limit yourself only to starters, then I'd suggest you go in for one of the platters they have (depending on the size of your group). The Mezze and the Mediterranean platters are quite decent and worth ordering if you like mild flavours. If you like something meatier, then The Hide or the Charcuterie are what you need to be considering. The steak tartare is quite superb. Also, if you're looking for something a little heavy, then try one of the burgers. The service is quite good, and you won't have to keep reminding the waiters about your orders even on busy nights. It's a good place to visit if you're anywhere near Bermondsey."
