"This pub has undergone an amazing transformation! We are thrilled with the positive changes. We've been visiting this establishment for 16 years, and it's wonderful to be able to have dinner after 8 PM. The food is fantastic—so delicious and beautifully presented by the Italian chef. We truly felt like VIPs! A huge thank you for the fantastic service from Solomon! He provided us with an excellent selection of food and drinks and even offered us an extra dish that we thoroughly enjoyed! Overall, it was a lovely experience, especially for my Ukrainian friends. "Delicious! Had a great evening here with friends. Food is lovely, but as the only vegan at our table I was disappointed in the the falafel main as the dish was just falafel and hummus. Would of been nice to have more salad, or even some rice or chips to make it into a meal! Restaurant was empty when we went, we weren't in any rush but the service was particularly slow."

"We experienced disappointing service during our recent visit. Our table wasn’t cleared properly; we still had leftover fries on it while we were enjoying dessert. The service was also extremely slow, and we had to ask multiple times for water. We've dined at this restaurant many times over the years, including twice this month, but we've noticed a significant decline in service. The prices no longer seem justified given the experience. It's unfortunate because the restaurant offers great views, but we’ve decided not to return again."

Many items were not available, and the payment system was unreliable, resulting in having to order at the counter. Despite being told that mac and cheese was unavailable, a friend was able to order it through the app. Overall, the service was disorganized and the food was average, arriving suspiciously quickly as if it had been reheated. Will not be returning."

"The ‘big bagel’ was nice enough as were the chips. Sweet friendly waitress. Please do not order the nachos-they are flavourless and in my opinion the tortilla chips a little stale. Was a little hard work trying to get someone’s attention for the bill. I think they could do with one more member of staff to keep things running more smoothly eg clearing tables, wiping down seats and supplying the bill more promptly. I voiced my opinion at the time re the nachos but was met with a vacant stare and a ‘no ones ever complained about them before ‘. They bizarrely offered to take 10% off the cost of the nachos. A more commercially savvy response would have been ‘so sorry you didn’t like the nachos Ill take them off the bill as you’ve barely touched them. Hope to see you again next time’ There’s lots of competition in the area who in my opinion offer waaay better service. I believe the owner was behind the counter at the time who took no ownership of the situation-that was a shame but hey ho that’s why some businesses succeed and others don’t stand the test of time."

"What can I say? If you're looking for a fantastic brunch spot with great value, this is the place to be! While there are some additional charges for certain menu items or to go “premium,” the quality of the food and drinks is totally worth it. The extras really enhance the experience, making it one of the best dining outings I’ve had. The staff is absolutely fantastic and very attentive to guests' needs. "cat and canary can boast to be the real sportable in canary wharf, unless it is summer or winter sports is always on in summer when weather permits, they set up a tw in the window so that people can sit outside they enjoy the games. in the inner there are 2 LED TVs and a projector screen, quite anywhere they sit, they can not miss the action. they have some good ale and camps on the train and the plates, especially the meat plate it is worth putting up for great sports events such as Olympic or world cups, fine line, davy’s or broodies next to TV screens, but for the year of action there is no other place like cat and canary!"

"It was a busy Friday evening but we found service to be fairly speedy. The waitress who looked after us was lovely with a winning smile. "We hadn't booked but we're warmly welcomed. We had 3 courses as it was our first time. Great shaslick, amazing tray of chutneys with poppadoms. We were very impressed with the mains. Naan was tasty and not burnt or crispy. Good saag aloo too. Home made style caramel ice cream and kulfi. Was £30 a head for 3 courses and poppadoms with 1 alcoholic drink each. Great value but also some of the loveliest service we've had. Also, lovely hot towels at end, unusual nowadays. Thank you. We'll be back."

"Has gone massively downhill. Returned for first time post-Pandemic for Sunday lunch. The pub felt run-down, and not decorated since the early 2010s (I remember when it was newly decorated! They were out of stock of many items, ranging from some starters through to diet soft drinks! My wife had the aubergine main course, which was undercooked and inedible. Pointed it out to the staff who shrugged. Roast beef was average, with decent meat but poor sides (e.g. roast potatoes were undercooked and not crispy"

Upon first glance, The Squeeze is quite a quaint coffee shop in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, friendly staff and even the bonus of some lovely dogs watching their owners sip coffee. Unfortunately, that’s where the dream ends. The stark reality of the place is extraordinarily long waits for food (in excess of 45 minutes… for soup. Really? over exerted staff to near breaking point. A generally less than positive experience, which is a shame for someone new to the area. Thankfully many other coffee shops in the area so I won’t have to frequent this establishment. A certain must avoid."
