"The food in the cafe is really nice, decent quality. The Shop and Garden part is a good size and plenty to buy. However, service in the cafe was awful. Very slow and inattentive hence only 3 stars. Berry Smoothie- not at all! More like a vanilla milkshake with no taste of berries. Asked for a fanta instead, which was brought to the table AFTER we had ate AND paid. No apology from the waitress which is rude. Car parking is hectic."

"Soooo good. The pasta was amazing, I can’t recommend the spicy tomato sauce enough (thought the ranch was kind of meh). I do wish they gave you more than 3 free toppings though, especially considering that I did get a medium bowl instead of the small. The servings are incredibly generous, and you won’t leave hungry for sure. The mini pizzas are kind of nice, though I was expecting something different. I really liked the bread they used and would love an option without the cheese. The chocolate brownie was also lovely. They also do a generous student discount, which I appreciate. All in all, a wonderful place with wonderful food and great staff."

"Niche is one of the loveliest restaurants I've ever been too. While I'm not gluten intolerant, the person that I went with is. It's hard to find alternatives consistently so I am very glad to have found this place. The food was divine and the service with very friendly and polite. A wonderful and wide range of food is available and even a special menu if the theatre next door is playing something. Absolutely will go again!"

"The food at Loch Fyne is always delicious. Last night when we went there, there were lots of things off the menu the result of a busy Bank Holiday weekend, we were told. Arguably a long-established business like this, where dining has to be ore-booked, might have anticipated this, and ordered a bit more in advance (there’s another Bank Holiday day to go today). But I appreciate also they weren’t expecting any deliveries over the weekend and sea-food has to be fresh…. But the staff were very helpful in rustling up alternatives, and we managed to have a lovely evening. So sad that so many branches of Loch Fyne have closed and will close, including ours which is due to shut down in August. So enjoy while you can."

"We came across this restaurant while strolling along the Leith Water Walkway. The enticing smell drew us inside, where we enjoyed a delicious homemade lemonade and pizza number 7 with spicy salami. "The standard of some dishes seems to have slipped. The green curry with chicken was not acceptable with only three pieces of chicken and represents poor value for money at £12 without rice. I raised this with the manager, but no resolution was offered. I was told that portions are weighed, so I can only assume the meanness of the portion was a deliberate choice by the restaurant. The bang kapi katsu and rice (crispy chicken and curry sauce) on a previous visit was very bland. Reluctant to return, especially given the abundance of other Thai restaurants to choose from."

"This is a casual place for a party not exceeding 2. The tables are large square tables facilitating 2 or 3 at each side and are shared by others. The seating is pretty uncomfortable. It is not suitable for a party of 3 or more. It is very noisy. The service was good if some what unusual as our starters came along with our main courses. The food is fair but not sensational. The wine list is pretty mediocre. The ambience was not to our taste but I can understand that the younger casual diner clearly finds it attractive. There was a queue outside waiting to gain a place at any table when we arrived circa 8pm. The mineral water was suspect as to its authenticity. We did not enjoy our visit largely because we were not expecting to be seated at a large table out of earshot of each other and thus it was a case of gobble go ."
