"I am being lured back to LURE because I love the fried Halloumi with sweet chilli sauce and I always get a portion of crushed minted peas too. I prefer the french fries to the triple cooked chunkier chips. They are not so thin to be void of any potato. Great size portions too, which makes up for the higher prices. On a lazy evening I can totally justify a take away being delivered to my door, but I do wish they would lower the minimum amount for local deliveries to £15.00 instead of £20. I live alone and shielding, so I have to eat some of the £20 worth of food the next day, otherwise I will not fit through the door when we come out of Lockdown!!"

"Had to wait about an hour to get in on a Saturday night. The fish and chips I can definitely recommend, while the Scottish cheese platter is definite no go it's just 3 pieces of cheese and some extra fruits for 12 pounds, hardly seemed worth it. Service was not great, the servers were struggling to keep up with the pace as the evening was quite busy, asked for extra plates and had to ask twice, hard to catch their glance if you need something. Regarding the wait although there were 4+ tables free people were being told to wait for 15 20 minutes, really not sure why. Not only that, but people were either not let into the corridor into the restaurant or were let in, but the door wasn't closed and a breeze kept being let in."

"The menu isn't anything extraordinary, but I must say the food was fantastic and I can't fault that. However, the service was very poor. Initially, there were about five members of the serving staff who were just hanging around the bar and took quite a while before they took our order. After finishing our meals, they asked if we wanted dessert, but then informed us that we needed to vacate the table in 20 minutes. It was frustrating that we weren't informed about this deadline beforehand. When I asked for the bill, I received the wrong one. I would consider returning, but there definitely needs to be an improvement in the service staff's performance."

"The clams were not properly cleaned and the ritz-cracker crusted haddock was soggy. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but it has undergone a disappointing change. The food is overpriced for the low quality. I would recommend looking elsewhere."

"I have been to this restaurant many times over the last 30 years and enjoy the ambience of the place. However it can be very noisy at times and tables are small and intimate with your neighbours. Sadly on this occasion while the service was good the food quality was poor. My steak tartare was served grey/ brown as if it had been prepared many hours before. My tuna Nicoise was served cold and possibly worst I have ever eaten. My guest ordered the cassoulet as he previously lived in France but was disappointed to receive a poor man’s version of two herb sausages with beans. Push button automated cappuccino’s rounded off the bad experience."

"Just had lunch at the Terrace today with some good friends. We were booked on a table outside on the terrace as we have a dog. I, was phoned by the restaurant yesterday and asked if we would be happy to move to a table indoors as the weather was looking as though it might be raining. I reminded them that we would have our dog with us, but they said, if the dog was well behaved we could bring him indoors too. So we had a table in the restaurant, the weather today did turn out to be rather thundery, and wet. We arrived and were shown to the table and were offered water for our dog. The menu was really good with a great selection of seafood, meat and vegetarian and vegan options. My wife and I chose scallops for a starter, which were delicious, our friends had pâté and crispy Cauliflower fritters. We all also chose different main courses, Pork steak with black pudding on a bed of parsley mash for me, sea bass with smashed new potatoes with crab meat for my wife, baked cod and a mushroom and truffle risotto for our friends. We all enjoyed our food, which was beautifully presented. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. Too full for a desert we all had coffee to finish. The bill when it came was very reasonable. We will definitely go back again."

"Very good meal but the “small” fish and chips with a drink and some tartare sauce came to £15.60 smaller places seem to take advantage of the limited opportunities around and charge a rip off price. No wifi for customers in this day and age is a bit silly also had to run outside to get signal a few times, after finding out there was hardly any signal and no wifi inside I regretted sitting down as could not do anything while waiting and had to check a few things for work."
