"I recently attended an event at this pub, only to find out halfway through that trans women were not allowed to participate. The organisers claimed that trans women were banned because they were considered men and may pose a threat to women. I was shocked when one organiser insisted that men cannot attend a lesbian event, referring to trans women. She even recorded me for several minutes, possibly as a form of intimidation. Members of the press were also present, presumably to gain media coverage for excluding trans women from such spaces. Despite complaints to the pub's owner, Stonegate, it seems they are not concerned about marginalised individuals being unfairly labelled and excluded. It is disappointing to see such hateful and harmful practices allowed in this establishment, making it clear that it is not a safe or inclusive space for queer people or those in the LGBT+ community."
