"The lunch menu was small. We both chose the lamb and mint pie, which came with chips and undressed salad leaves. Why bare leaves as an accompaniment to a pie? Peas would have been a better option. I enjoyed my pie, but my companion was not so keen. At £15.50, we both felt it was over priced for what we received. We had the creme brulee for dessert and again it wasn't cheap, but a very generous portion and was possibly the best brulee I've ever eaten. We were seated in the restaurant area, but it was freezing in there, so asked to be moved to the bar as it was marginally warmer (but still very chilly). The young lady serving was happy to do this for us and very helpful. But, come on if you're charging top dollar for the food, is it too much to keep your diners warm?"
