"Have wanted to try this takeaway for a couple of years due to good reviews and a love of spicy food. So finally ordered online last night. Went for the set meal for two consisting of Poppadoms and chutney, two pakoras, salad, two mains with...rice and nan. Had the Himalayan Lamb and Hot Khathmandu Chicken for mains and it was delicious. Everything was cooked really well. Normally with a takeaway you have to re-heat the mains if you eat the starter separately but not in this case, it was all piping hot. Only very slight criticism was too much rice and a plain nan instead of peshwari or keema, but overall an excellent meal. Well worth a try."

"we picked this restaurant because of the high ratings given. It wasn't good at all and overpriced!!! Ordered zinchuang noodles and it looked like spaghetti Bolognese. we also ordered rice with seafood and it was plain white rice with two mussels that we couldn't eat. They looked very bad. We also ordered soup and dumplings and they were ok. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!"

"A Culinary Adventure at Maximini Chinese Restaurant Maxamini Chinese Restaurant recently took me on a delightful journey through the world of Chinese cuisine. From the moment the dishes arrived, it was clear that quality and flavor were top priorities. Let's delve into the specifics: Chicken in Chilli Sauce: This dish was a symphony of sweet and heat. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, while the chilli sauce offered a delightful kick without overpowering the palate. Each bite was a delicious balance that left me wanting more. Egg Fried Rice: This seemingly simple dish was pure comfort food perfection. The rice was fluffy and perfectly seasoned, with each fluffy grain absorbing the flavors of the other dishes on the table. It was the ideal accompaniment, neither bland nor overpowering. Spicy Chicken Noodles: For those who crave a fiery adventure, the spicy chicken noodles did not disappoint. The noodles had a satisfying chew, and the chicken was plentiful and flavorful. The real star was the perfectly balanced spice level, offering a delicious heat that built gradually without being overwhelming. Laksa (Prawn and Chicken): This rich and flavorful soup was a revelation. The broth was deeply satisfying, bursting with complex flavors. The prawns were plump and fresh, while the chicken added a delightful savory element. Every spoonful was a celebration of Southeast Asian cuisine. Overall, Maximini Chinese Restaurant exceeded expectations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each dish had its own distinct character, yet they all came together to create a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, Maximini is a must-try. Highly recommended!"

"Very disappointing. Service was bad had to ask for tap water twice and took ages to get some (only got it during our second course). The food was alright. I had the aubergine hot pot which only had about 3 pieces of aubergine and the pot was only half full. Rice wasn’t even included. The desert was only one mochi ball, and it was completely melted! It looked like soup... asked for a new one and got the same ones back. Asked for new ones again but different flavour, and these were rock hard. You couldn’t even bight into them. The waiter also made a passive aggressive comment whilst serving it. The service in general made us feel very uncomfortable. The guy at the bar kept staring at me and talking to someone else which made it look like they were talking about us. When we wanted to pay and leave, no one was in sight. We were waiting for at least 15 minutes until someone showed up and we could pay the bill. Overall, negative experience. Didn’t feel welcome, food wasn’t worth the money and poor service."

"My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time as newlyweds. We chose it because some of the menu items are halal, so we were grateful for that. The food was delicious. We returned specifically for the duck, even though my husband was hoping for Peking duck, which was not on the menu as he expected (since he is Chinese). The curry, shrimp, and service were all excellent. I went back to the restaurant again as a special milestone in my life, as I was leaving the UK for good, and once again we chose Maximini. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the service was quick. They are accommodating in terms of how you want your food served, whether all at once or in intervals. Definitely worth a visit, and for me, it also holds sentimental value. The restaurant is tucked away and conveniently located opposite Diana Princess Memorial Park."
