"We love visiting Zorbas, its a real taste of Greece for anyone hankering for a small reminder of those days sitting in a Taverna enjoying the food of that great country. Like all businesses, Zorbas has had to make some changes to survive the pandemic. They have changed the layout of the restaurant as well as a small part of the menu. Sadley, there was no live music when we visited, although the air was filled with a pleasant background of traditional Greek melodies. Our meal came out very quickly from our order, this was far faster than before. People in our party had meat balls, Saganaki cheese for starter. A couple of Lamb Kleftico's, Xirino Souvlaki and Kotopoulo Souvlaki followed as our main course. The standard was great, a fresh taste, akin to what I have had in the best of Tavena's in Rhodes, Zante, Athens etc. For us, the usual party feeling of live music was missing. Although, the staff said they hope to have a new Greek musician soon, so our next visit will see my wife getting up and dancing with the staff. We cannot recommend Zorba's enough. I find you need to book to avoid the disappointment of not getting a table,"

"The dining experience and service were not quite up to the standards of my previous visits. However, Charis, our server, was exceptional. My only slight drawback was the noise from a clearly organized group in the adjacent room; we found it distracting to hear their conversations, readings, and singing. Perhaps it's worth considering renting that space next time for a more private experience. Other than that, everything else was amazing!"

"Starter portions fairly small. Mushrooms were tasty but 'only ' 2 each!? The Chateau-Briand for two was very good but the sauces were tame and small in size as were the portions of sauteed potatoes. The chicken was fairly mundane. Overall the service was reasonably attentive but spoiled by having to ask for a coffee refill of a small cup which appeared frowned upon. Overall, a little old fashioned, unchanged in years perhaps. It could do with some updating and focus on improving value for money, such as increased portion sizes."

"so disappointed....we were stuck on a table on the side ,almost a corridor next to the bar. ordered a bottle of house white wine for just under £20 and a 500ml bottle of weak watery wine came....they should have mentioned it was a 500ml on the menu. I complained and the waitress went to change it to a Pino Gricio at just under £25...so expensive for a standard bottle of wine. The greek owner obviously had an issue with this as i heard him say something about the wine before was white...i asked if there was an issue and he made some comment and so we got up and left. not a cheap menu either and when we ordered we had to remind the waitress that we wanted fries as the choice as she did not seem to know what she was doing. We wont go back. a shame as we wanted to try Steki again after not being there for years."

"I gave a review of this place in October 2014 and the response I got back from Manos is that they are not a Restaurant. I copied the following text from the Manos website which clearly shows you do advertise yourselves as a restaurant...... If you have a special occasion coming up, host a meal or party at our restaurant. To reiterate the food was a poor standard which was not cooked right through, obviously using microwaves to cook with which explains why it was cooked on the outside but cold on the inside and swimming in water."

"If you're in search of authentic Greek/Cypriot cuisine in Nottingham, look no further than Eviva Taverna on Barker Gate in the Lace Market quarter. This restaurant is situated in a cellar and has the ambiance of a traditional Greek tavern. They offer a wide selection of mezze dishes as well as a diverse a la carte menu. In addition to the classic chargrilled kebabs and steaks, they also have a good variety of vegetarian options. The drink selection includes Mythos and Keo beers. On select nights, guests can enjoy Greek and belly dancing entertainment. Overall, Eviva Taverna is a solid Mediterranean restaurant with reasonable prices."

"My friends and I visited this restaurant during the week after work, based on the recommendation of positive reviews, and we were not disappointed at all. As soon as we walked in, we received a very warm and friendly welcome. We decided to order the mixed meze and were amazed by the amount of food we received. The starters were all delicious and it was hard to stop eating because everything was so tasty. We enjoyed dips, pita bread, meatballs, halloumi, a large Greek salad, pork chops, shish kebabs, kofte, and more. The service was excellent and we were so satisfied with our meal that we couldn't finish it all because there was just so much food! Including drinks, we paid £135 for 5 people and we all agreed that it was great value for money. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, as we loved our experience there."

"My wife and I booked in to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We chose here as we were married in Greece a number of years ago and was looking for something which reminded us of that time and Greek authenticity....we were not disappointed! Although the restaurant was quiet as soon as we walked in the decor was superb and we were greeted by the owner and our waitress for the evening who both were very friendly and welcoming. We both chose a number of dishes off the meze menu which has so much choice of authentic dishes there is something to suit everyone's taste buds. All of the dishes were so tasty, the meat balls, Greek sausage, calamari, stuffed vine leaves, tzatziki, pita breads and gyros were all to die for and reminded us so much of our wedding in Greece. This is a gem of a restaurant. The food is amazing and reasonably priced, the service is fabulous and welcoming, the owner is amazing and friendly, highly recommended and we will return."

"The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, with pleasant lighting that was a refreshing change. The appetizers, such as the pita and various dips, were enjoyable. I definitely recommend trying the Aubergine Dip. However, I found the squid to be quite tough. The seafood kebab was tasty, and the accompanying vegetables and rice were very good. Overall, the experience was not excellent, but still quite enjoyable."

"We had to book a table which was available on our arrival. Restaurant very noisy but quieter in the gazebo type structure out back, although still full. Menu is refreshingly short but we couldn't decide as everything looked good, so we opted for the meze. First was some great homemade hummus, tzatziki, and taramasalata that I could have eaten a tub of, all served with pitta, and a potato and beetroot dish dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. Then some grilled halloumi. Then a while grilled seabass. And a large Greek salad. Then some chicken souvlaki. Then lamb kleftiko on the bone. Then slow burnt pork. A LOT of food, but all very good. The taramasalata, kleftiko, and slow burnt pork were particular highlights and are what I would have if we return. You can take away whatever you don't eat meze for two would easily feed three hungry people, and quite probably 4, so you're essentially getting two meals to have at home. At 28 quid per person it's not the cheapest but also not excessive considering the quality, you get to try everything, and you won't be hungry afterwards, and remember this is London. The other menu items individually are cheaper, so on your first visit have the meze, decide your favourites, and have them next time. Oh, and the service is outstanding. Definitely pay a visit for an outstanding time, but book in advance."

"After traveling for more than an hour to reach the restaurant, we were informed upon arrival that our booking had been canceled due to a private party taking place that night. There was no apology given, as they simply stated, "Oh, you must not have received the message.""
