"pizza legends. silver dollar pizza or “SDP” legendary in the opposite. I've been here for over thirty years. in the days before the licensing we drove past our cortinas to pick beer and pizza to take on the party of the night, now I take my family there. same decor, same pizza in front of the house chris. ok I am nostalgic and some friends that I introduce do not get the obsessive hingabe. short menu that comes pizza as it comes, they begin with the discounts and they get a big bill. no delivery (ok it once during the wm) it is away from her or the autobahn. there were a few weeks back and mr nick (the pizza cook legend) was back behind the glass and a guy I played rugby, but moved away as in meilen, there was with a pizza and half dozen back for his freeze cabinet. he told me he did all six months. / another story comes in the sense. they met with an old school friend for a beer and decided that we had not been a pizza in sdp anyway for ten years at the place chris remembered directly his favorite pizza. Actually, this may sometimes be a problem if they want to change their favorite SDP from some strange reason. once I run in to get a take, stopped to chat with a friend who at the time when I got the cash to have chris already had my regular in the many without recognizing that I happen to entertain a veggie lady friend in this night. could make a rohen sweat there that later in the evening she had a little spicy, but I won't bother. the girl is now my wife and no more veggie. / these young are fast – I never command. reliable good pizza. one day it will change and I will be sour. while it is there, try a living and breathing legendary it. You think they could get drugged."

"The dining experience and service were not quite up to the standards of my previous visits. However, Charis, our server, was exceptional. My only slight drawback was the noise from a clearly organized group in the adjacent room; we found it distracting to hear their conversations, readings, and singing. Perhaps it's worth considering renting that space next time for a more private experience. Other than that, everything else was amazing!"

"Once we entered we was greeted and showed to a table very quickly by a very polite lady, she asked us if we wanted drinks and brang them promptly, she maintained serving us whenever we needed and was very polite and caring to our needs, the starters (scampi for me prawns for the mrs) were fastly served with bread and butter which was a great addition to the meal, my starter was very tasty, the main was very nice but hampered by our inexperience to pick the correct steak as the tbone was mainly bone of course lol it was cooked well and the fries were nice too, all in all very impressed got abit noisey with a group that came in because it's a small restaurant felt very involved with their activities, Bill was fair and food was decent would try again. Thank you."

"steki taverna is a charming family run Greek taverne, founded in southsea in portsmouth since 1998. the decor is welcoming and similar to the taverns that they see in Greece – terracotta floor, wooden tables and beams. They opened a second two-g in brighton in 2006. in the course of the years we must have sampled most items on the menu: as with most restaurants, some dishes are better than others and we are repeatedly withdrawn to our favorites. there are a good number of meat, seafood and vegetarian decisions. this is a good place for vegetarians – most of the hot and cold starters are suitable for vegetarians. menu items are t"

"We love visiting Zorbas, its a real taste of Greece for anyone hankering for a small reminder of those days sitting in a Taverna enjoying the food of that great country. Like all businesses, Zorbas has had to make some changes to survive the pandemic. They have changed the layout of the restaurant as well as a small part of the menu. Sadley, there was no live music when we visited, although the air was filled with a pleasant background of traditional Greek melodies. Our meal came out very quickly from our order, this was far faster than before. People in our party had meat balls, Saganaki cheese for starter. A couple of Lamb Kleftico's, Xirino Souvlaki and Kotopoulo Souvlaki followed as our main course. The standard was great, a fresh taste, akin to what I have had in the best of Tavena's in Rhodes, Zante, Athens etc. For us, the usual party feeling of live music was missing. Although, the staff said they hope to have a new Greek musician soon, so our next visit will see my wife getting up and dancing with the staff. We cannot recommend Zorba's enough. I find you need to book to avoid the disappointment of not getting a table,"

"If you're in search of authentic Greek/Cypriot cuisine in Nottingham, look no further than Eviva Taverna on Barker Gate in the Lace Market quarter. This restaurant is situated in a cellar and has the ambiance of a traditional Greek tavern. They offer a wide selection of mezze dishes as well as a diverse a la carte menu. In addition to the classic chargrilled kebabs and steaks, they also have a good variety of vegetarian options. The drink selection includes Mythos and Keo beers. On select nights, guests can enjoy Greek and belly dancing entertainment. Overall, Eviva Taverna is a solid Mediterranean restaurant with reasonable prices."

"I don't often write reviews, but felt i had to for Vine Leaves on Goldhawk road. I went there with my boyfriend two weeks ago, after realising that the really nice Greek restaurant on the same road had closed down. My favourite food is Greek and Im definitely more likely to go to a smaller independent place than the Real Greek at Westfield. It was a friday night and the place was empty. The waitresses abruptness was quite shocking at first, but i thought i'd give it a chance.I ordered Chicken Kebab and salad. My boyfirend had the Chicken Escalope and chips. The portions were huge...way to big for just two people. I started digging in to my chicken and realised I was eating a piece of uncooked chicken, very raw and meaty taste to it. I felt like i was going to gag, so wanted to spit it out...but then noticed that i was being eyed up by the owner and studpidly didn't want to appear rude, so tried to just keep on chewing this bit of raw meat. I managed to spit it out in to my napkin. Both me and my boyfiend started to feel ill at the table. We decided to pay and quickly leave. I have never ever actually felt immeadiately ill from a restaurant. I have now been sick for two weeks and had several days off work . So im assuming its food poisening.I am very wary of reading reviews and like to give things a chance. But i just felt i should let people know about my experience in advance."

"We had the meze, it was wonderful. The service was excellent and Leftie, the owner was brilliant and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great time. If you like Greek food or fancy trying it for the first time this the place to go"

"Mediocre food. Unfortunately previous post saw a lot of negative feedback from Manos poster. In general I was supportive of the authentic food but criticizing the constant microwave use with loosely calibrated warming times. Sorry but food was in fact cold on inside, hot on outside. Be open to some criticism otherwise how can one improve a business? Food is indeed authentic but honestly it's a bit disorganized and ruined by heating inconsistency of its prep. Food is a bit salty/heavy compared to versions of the dishes I've had made by Greek friends/authentic restaurants."

"The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, with pleasant lighting that was a refreshing change. The appetizers, such as the pita and various dips, were enjoyable. I definitely recommend trying the Aubergine Dip. However, I found the squid to be quite tough. The seafood kebab was tasty, and the accompanying vegetables and rice were very good. Overall, the experience was not excellent, but still quite enjoyable."

"We had to book a table which was available on our arrival. Restaurant very noisy but quieter in the gazebo type structure out back, although still full. Menu is refreshingly short but we couldn't decide as everything looked good, so we opted for the meze. First was some great homemade hummus, tzatziki, and taramasalata that I could have eaten a tub of, all served with pitta, and a potato and beetroot dish dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. Then some grilled halloumi. Then a while grilled seabass. And a large Greek salad. Then some chicken souvlaki. Then lamb kleftiko on the bone. Then slow burnt pork. A LOT of food, but all very good. The taramasalata, kleftiko, and slow burnt pork were particular highlights and are what I would have if we return. You can take away whatever you don't eat meze for two would easily feed three hungry people, and quite probably 4, so you're essentially getting two meals to have at home. At 28 quid per person it's not the cheapest but also not excessive considering the quality, you get to try everything, and you won't be hungry afterwards, and remember this is London. The other menu items individually are cheaper, so on your first visit have the meze, decide your favourites, and have them next time. Oh, and the service is outstanding. Definitely pay a visit for an outstanding time, but book in advance."

"After traveling for more than an hour to reach the restaurant, we were informed upon arrival that our booking had been canceled due to a private party taking place that night. There was no apology given, as they simply stated, "Oh, you must not have received the message.""
