"I've been there a few times when I like the big food very much! Greek, but still don't slander as many others, because everything is very tasteful! salt baked fish especially mentioned! inexpensive for a seabas but great! the main area in the entrance has tight packed tables and lacks in any personality, while the rear tunnel looks great. the attention to the removal of used harness from the waiters was quite a problem and they seemed stretched without a smile over their boobs. will go again with better expectations, as I do well to spread over meraki to all and see if I am right in my views."

"Unfortunately the food and entertainment and overall experience was dampened by another table who had bought in their own professional photographer. We were all next to the table with flashing going off every other minute so half of our table actually ended up with our head in our hands and headaches. We did complain but couldnât be moved because it was busy which is understandable but found this unfair as the table shouldâve been situated in their own private area. Generous starters but I thought the portions for the main meal was a bit stingey."

"What a delicious dover sole I had. The salad was really fresh and the king prawns in olive oil and garlic sauce was impressively tasty. Toilets are immaculately clean, the owner is polite and attentive. Really fancy set up and service. Dont you love fine dining? Proper Napkins and crisp white table cloth chateu neufe red was also a delight for my taste buds. It was a business dinner but will go back I think."

"OpenTable dining cheques beware!Earlier this week I made a reservation through the Opentable website at the restaurant and clearly stated that I intended to use a OpenTable dining cheque. At no point was I contacted beforehand to say this was not accepted at Lemoni. Upon arrival at the restaurant, an employee also confirmed the fact that I had a dining cheque and I offered to show it to her but she said it wasn't necessary and proceeded to seat us inside. It was only after discussing menu options, ordering our food with the waiter and then waiting for our food to arrive when another employee asked to see the dining cheque. He returned to say the manager wasn't able to accept it, even after I pointed out the cheque says "Redeemable at any UK restaurant bookable on OpenTable" and we were never told this beforehand, despite multiple opportunities to do so. As one can imagine, we were put in an awkward and potentially embarrassing situation as we had already ordered food with the dining cheque in mind. To avoid causing a scene and making things worse, I reluctantly obliged and we ended up having to pay the full amount with no effort on the part of the restaurant to take any further actions.I feel the situation could have been handled much better and there had clearly been a breakdown of communication somewhere. Thankfully we were able to pay the full cost with other means but this may not always be the case with other customers and the experience has unfortunately soured my impression of the place for any future visits, making it hard to recommend"

"Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and offered a spot on their lovely outside terrace, which was perfect given the warm evening. Our waiter was prompt and took our drink orders right away, ensuring they arrived in no time. With impressive knowledge of the menu, he quickly provided us with his recommendations. We chose the Meat mezze for two, and the food was truly exceptional. From the selection of pita and dips to the beef stifado and moussaka, each course was even better than the last. For dessert, we indulged in traditional baklava and enjoyed a Greek coffee, which was the perfect finale. Overall, our experience at Taverna was fantastic, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. It's a must-visit place when you find yourself in Harrogate!"

Our waiter asked us to vacate our table when we had finished for a new group of people, but then gave us 2 free Amarettos each, on the house, for our trouble of moving table. No trouble at all. Will definitely be returning. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you."

"The whitebait starter was slightly fishy and had far too much coating on them. The scallops were ok, but what little flavour they had was somewhat masked by the mashed potato. The Dover Sole was over-cooked, which is a crime for the most expendive fish on the menu. The lobster thermador was ok. We had to ask for cutlery. A big disappointment."

"Had a lovely meal here the food was excellent and can thoroughly recommend the sea bass cooked to perfection. First time we had visited and certainly won’t be the last. The owners were delightful very friendly and warm. "Really enjoyed everything about our visit to Andy's Taverna. The menu was authentic and extensive, and the welcome was friendly. Very impressed by the Greek wine list, around 17 bottles around £22, very reasonable for wine which is hard to find elsewhere in London. We noticed the portions could be quite large so had to hold back on ordering on this occasion, but what we had was delicious spanakopita to start, and then I had the kleftico (the lamb was so incredibly tender) and my dining partner had the mixed souvlaki moist chicken, very tasty lamb and pork, all served with a generous salad. We would definitely like to return, with a bigger appetite, to work through more of the menu!"

"Today I went to @georgesfishbar In #southwoodford which isn’t just your usual fish and chip bar, they also serve the yummiest Greek Cypriot food too George’s was established in 2006 has since won so many different awards for their food- which you can view on their website. On arrival I was greeted by the owner himself George who made me feel so welcome. The shop was very busy with queues out of the door but After trying their food I could sure see why ! Tonight I had their chicken Gyros, Chips, Halloumi, Greek Salad, Cod, my parents had a chicken souvlakia each. All of the food was just so delicious !! The gyros was the best I’ve ever had. The meat was ever so fresh and tender and the actual gyros in pitta was bursting with so much flavour. The chips were the best I’ve ever had too and my parents also agreed. They had a gorgeous sweet taste to them and were cooked to pure perfection and trust me it’s definitely possible to mess chips up. The chips were also lovely thick just how I love them to be. The chicken souvlakia was also gorgeous the chicken was very tender there was plenty of it as was there plenty of salad. The fish was also delicious extremely meaty and more fish than batter which is what I love as usually most fish bars tend to give you mainly batter and hardly any fish!! All of @georgesfishbar food is 10/10 from me and extremely high quality as well as huge portions. You can definitely see how much love and effort goes into their food that all of the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The fish bar itself is also spotlessly clean and covid safe. I definitely recommend everyone to try @georgesfishbar whether it’s for just fish and chips or Greek Cypriot food or both. You won’t be disappointed ! @georgesfishbar is currently undergoing Renovation but will be open fully very soon when restaurants are allowed to reopen for seating inside. When we called to address the issue, we were met with rudeness from a staff member who claimed we had ordered from the wrong menu. "Having booked a table for 3 a week before during the government eat out scheme, we arrived at the restaurant sharp 6.30 pm as per the booking. We were asked to wait outside and it had started raining.I was asked for the name and booking details. The staff brought the book and could not find our booking so went to ask the owner. The owner came with the book and told us someone called and cancelled our booking and she could not do anything about it. We tried to say why would we do that and she was not willing to listen. The restaurant may have cheekily cancelled our booking if they had shortage of tables. Never again shall we go there. Worst customer service.."
