"Decent food but strange ambience. Atmosphere here really let's this place down. You go downstairs into what seems to be the basement of an office, but rather than a cozy, dark room the place itself feels quite bright and sparsely decorated. We partly went hoping to hear upbeat and authentic Spanish music but were disappointed that it was instead hard rock. At one point this was turned so high with shreaking guitar riffs that we could not continue our conversation. At this point we complained to a waiter, only to be told that this was their play list and they are not changing it (ok, then we won't be back! but he did turn it down. It is a shame that these ambience points overshadowed the overall nice food. Tortilla, padrón peppers and churros were excellent. Other dishes were good too (an aubergine stew was however a bit too salty and oily and the menu is vast, and suitable for veggies. The house red is also decent."

"We had been to Barcelona Tapas once before. The previous visit was decent, but this time it was poor, due mostly to the service. The food was decent, but one of the dishes (croquettes) arrived when most of the other dishes had already been eaten; so late that we thought they had forgotten the croquettes. The restaurant was quiet, and when another couple came in, they sat them right next to us (that shows the waiting staff care more about their journey than anything else), and then were very chatty towards them. They weren't with us. That's a small thing, but it made us feel that we were just punters in to eat and go. Basically, there was no sense of occasion. Football should also not be on the tv. If I want football on, I'll go to the match or to a pub."

"Very bad service. We were on the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen, although booked 2 weeks ago and ordered Sangria and some bread and cheese on arrival. 15 minutes passed and nothing came. We were then asked if we were ready to order and said we had ordered drinks and snacks and were ready to order our net. Then we did this and still there were no drinks. Then we were told that the red wine sangria had run out, which was poor at 8:00 on a Saturday eve for a tapas restaurant. Our whole food including bread and cheese came at the same time and left us overwhelmed with food."

"eating is good. the service was friendly and they were good to make a photo. on the website, however, they advertise a 3 tapas deal for 12.50 we came to see a sign outside 3 tapas deal for 14.50, I was not amused. the waitress then apparently had no warning about the deal and went to check. offer for 14.50 good, I notice that the deal was online in the choice anyway. we order, generally enjoy eating and get the bill. the deal was not taken into account. the waiter says we should have let the waitress know. that upset me when I'm pretty sure she asked him to. there was only approx. 5.75 and had to choose 2 dishes from the sections. I have already recommended this restaurant on another page, but this experience has upset me. they need to change their website and educate their personal."

"The food overall was far too salty , with the steak and chimichurri almost inedible , service was slow despite there only being four tables , one being clearly filmed for promotional footage , receiving dishes quickly despite not being eaten , whilst other tables were left waiting . We were left waiting in between individual small plates some arriving lukewarm, and it was difficult getting table service despite staff being huddled around the bar area unoccupied. I was disappointed as I’d enjoyed the food previously , but this experience has put me off ."

"In Camden and needed somewhere to eat so dropped in here. Service was attentive and friendly, really nice buzzy atmosphere and was food was pretty good. Should’ve had the tapas as it looked awesome coming out but we’d plumped for the sharing meat and cheese board then paella. There was way too much meat on the board and not enough cheese and olives (maybe some pickles would be good here). Paella was ok but nothing to write home about, glad I asked for chorizo (seafood and chicken option) as it helped lift the flavour. House Rioja and Cava were good. Finished with a couple of hazelnut liquors, nice. Service charged included came to £92 which was reasonable. Worth dropping in if passing by for the tapas for sure."

"they have been here many times and was always pleased to come back many times. this time, however, we were once in a fairness for minutes without someone who even asked for a beverage order, we got a free drink but still quite poor. "We got late Groupon deal (and babysitter)for the good ladies birthday. £34 for a sharing platter 2 including bread, cheese, meats and olives. This was followed by a shared potato gratas and 5 choices from the tapas menu. As is standard some of the items have a supplementary charge. We went for the King prawns in garlic and chilli, chicken and chorizo in a tomato sauce, pan serrano(garlic bread topped with manchego cheese and serrano ham), chicken burger sliders and a breaded cheese with a tomato sauce. The dishes came with a tomato sauce and garlic aioili dip. As you expect with Spanish tapas the good was hearty and tasty. We didn't leave a morsel on the table. This isn't a dog at the portion size (which was more than generous) it is just a testament to how good it was. We finished with chocolate fudge cake that we had to force down which was probably my least favourite course. This could have been down to being stuffed like a pig before the first spoonful so I wouldn't read too much into that. To drink we had a jug of sangria to share. Sweet and fruity. Scoffed the lot. Enough said. We will definitely be back again. Outstanding value. Lovely food. Brilliant service. Wonderful transport links (if like us you like a little tipple with your Friday night meal). You you are literally up the stairs and across the road from the bus and train station. Should be noted that the Groupon deal was for £34 which is a bargain in itself. As it had been a long time since I last used my Groupon I got an extra 50 percent off the deal. I will never spend under 20 pounds for that amount of quality grub again in my life. Been smiling all weekend. 1st time. Definitely not the last."

"Been to the Kings Cross branch several times and always enjoyed it. We had a selection of tapas including seafood with black rice, potatoes, bread and 2 larger dishes of chicken and tuna. Everything we ate was fine and service was friendly and helpful. The only downside was a very quiet restaurant which surprised us for a Friday. Maybe the work from home Friday culture is having an impact. The damage £70 for 2 including a couple of beers."

"Well what can I say about this place, I'll start by saying the food was very nice but the rest of the service was lacking. Tried to use meerkat meals 241 offer my advice would be don't bother attempting. Rang twice to book as advised...on the app and was told to ring back the 1st time and no name taken the 2nd time? Anyway back to the visit....outside its stated on a board 241 cocktails all day every day apart from Friday Saturday evenings. Being Wednesday evening we was told that they didn't do cocktails only sangria so that's what we had. When we asked about the meerkat meal offer we was told 241 on starters, mains and deserts (standard) when attempting to order we was then told we had to have the same item for starters, mains etc. We wanted tapas not the same meal what is the point of that! We then asked for other choices of menus i.e. the main menu we had seen online we were given the all you can eat menu £14.95 and lunch menu that was served after 5pm??? Random??? After 20+mins we just opted for the easiest option of the all you can eat because it was getting very confusing to say the least! There was only us in the place may I add. A couple who came in after us tried to use a taste card with no joy either. Main point for the waiter which I will call shambles' is know you offers at least, if your not going to honour discounts such as meerkat meals taste card don't be on their sites and there is definitely a reason why you place is empty. If you want everyone to eat from the all you can eat menu then just offer that. Seems like shambles' was on commission for bamboozling people into this menu and also selling sangria. What happened to the cocktails on the menu??? Anyway good luck if you visit"

It took an hour for us to order bread, then we had to ask someone to take our food order, and finally had to track down someone to bring us the bill. "these are dotted around london and I was always thrilled by the facility. it looks like a deli with all the hanging jamon, then there is the tapas bar and also a casual sitting restaurant vibe. behind the bar, you will see the display of various Spanish meats and be ready to be cut, plated and served.With a friend in the city and a group of us want to entertain him, nothing completely fits like a tapas sharing experience. equipped with my taste card we drove to holborn for our reserved table. the Holborn site is large, open and airy. high ceiling, large windows above the front and beautifully spaced tables/sele. we sat in a corner that was good, as I knew, that we would probably get a little rainy. if you haven't seen a friend for a long time, of course, the wee, the remembrances are reappearing and the sweat burst. Having ordered a white and red wine from a Spanish wine list that ranged from aragon to toro, we studied the tapas menu for our choices. we went for every food group, with classy like pimento pardon and kartoffel bravas, to some lush gambas pil pil (king prawns in olive oil with garlic and chili). grilled chestnut mushrooms with Spanish blue cheese and garbanzo con chorizo (chorizo, kichererbsen, Piquillo pepper with pimento). a selection of Spanish cheeses and estofado de cerdo (a basque stew of slowly boiled pork, with carrots and carrots). it was a good cross-section of the food that was very tasty. it was enough for us four. I would be interested in a future visit, as there is nothing like Spanish meat. / mas q menos is a really relaxing place, ideal for getting friends. the service was nice, our waiter spoke about Spanish, recommended some dishes and led us through the wine list. we will definitely visit again and with off-food with tastecard, it makes the experience even sweeter."
