"Having spent the day in Knightsbridge with a friend, we decided to sit down for cocktails at the Mandarin Oriental. The place is stylish and nicely decorated, as you’d expect from a 5-star establishment. The staff are friendly, kind and attentive, and helped my friend charge her phone after she forgot to bring her cable with her. We very much enjoyed our cocktails and the general ambiance. Highly recommended."

"booked with 2 friends for groundless brunch on a Sunday afternoon with lunchtime. £25 for 1 hour 30min. was a beautiful sunny day so sat outside. great atmosphere, delicious food and great service. when they got prosecco, it was extremely fast, but when they ordered cocktails, they waited a little longer for a drink to be expected. we decided to stay with the prosecutor, so we have more for our money."

"Although the waiter was very good , we were not impressed with the time there . We were using a virgin experience a three course meal and drink. I gave the voucher to the waiter as soon as he seated us, but the manager I believe was very sharp with me over using the voucher and the fact that he couldn't find it, and that I hadn't booked it correctly, well they had our booking so if something went wrong it wasn't what we had done. The waiter asked what we wanted to drink whilst the manager tried to sort out what menu we should have, we were given our drinks a lemonade and lime and a glass of wine. We eventually were given a menu and ordered our food which was all fine we ordered some bread as an extra. When we come to ask for the bill for which we should only have had to pay for the wine, lemonade and bread which came to £9.65 in total but were presented with a bill for £18.53 and was told this was the balance owing . After being made to feel the way we did I wasn't in the mood to argue , this should not happen I accept we needed to pay for our extra drinks etc but the voucher should have covered our meal, we weren't given the normal menu it was a set one so maybe someone could tell me why we had to pay the extra. I would not recommend to anyone"

"We visited the Wimbledon branch in May to celebrate my daughters birthday; it was a weekday and not very busy. Although we requested a cake they advised they could not organise anything so we brought our own. We were not welcomed at all from the moment we arrived and the waitress made us feel we were not wanted and rushed through the whole dinner; however despite the bad service, the food was good and it did not spoil the evening. Thinking it was an off night for the waitress, we went there again on Saturday. Unfortunately we had the same waitress again and much the same service I think she has her favourites as other people were not getting the same treatment! Food is good but best to go to another branch for service!!"

"Another month and another dinner and this time did not disappoint. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, the food arrived just when we needed it no long gaps yet not forced either. The venue is calm yet with lots of tables of groups there was a lot of energy. The set menu was a great deal, perfect to have just the two options and they were so much better than expected. Delicious food. It's also really easy to find, just around the back of Bishopsgate, near Liverpool Street station."

"This was my 3rd time I came to restraunt and each time it's been bad experience. 1st time our order was not correct and even after complaining it was still wrong. Long delays waiting food. Alot of food were not in stock. Yesterday we ordered starters which took a while to arrive when it did we got Told our choice of main food was out of stock. Found that very disappointing as they waited to tell us that after we already had long wait for the starters. Had we known that we would not have stayed we seem to have had bad experience on wvery visit and decided yesterday if things were not good we would not have stayed for the meal. Not sure why we did not get told promptly our mains dish was not available. I am sorry to say we will not be returning to cafe rouge again. Yesterday was not worth the money my husband ordered beef said it was too salty and he struggled to eat his meal. We both felt it was a bad experience and a total waste of money . We were looking forward to enjoy a lovely meal out. Sorry to say this as normally things are not so bad but our experience has been disappointing on 3 visits now.. please donot send me any vouchers as it's not worth taking risk."

"I had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant with prosecco. The food quality was excellent, although I wished there was an additional mini baguette in the sandwich section and another rule 2 option instead of just one. However, the crème brûlée, zitronenmelisse, and eclair were all delicious. The service could have been a bit more attentive as we had to ask for refills, but the staff quickly accommodated our requests. We were not rushed and were able to enjoy a long, leisurely meal which was very much appreciated. Overall, it was good value for the fixed price. Thank you."

"The sauce on the chicken dish could have been more flavorful. The restaurant did not have potatoes, so I had to substitute fries, but potatoes are a basic ingredient. It was disappointing that they do not accept American Express. I had to wait a long time to pay the bill. Finally, I went to the bar to pay, but had to wait even longer because there was only one card machine. It seemed like two other tables had the same issue. The restaurant was only half full, which was surprising for a Sunday dinner at Cheshire Oaks. Zak was the only employee who provided good service."

"have many meals in various caffe rouge restaurants and they are usually good. that was terrible. I had king prawns to begin, and the broth that came with him was stale. my wife had camembert who was boiled over, and the water buds garnish was devastated and black. the steak was hard and the baguette stale my wife. had fish cake that came back with rotten eating cracks. both of them came with French pommes, which we never burned again!"

"We visited Cafe Rouge before attending a Cher concert at the O2 on Sunday. I understand that restaurants can get very busy on show nights, but they should be able to handle the higher levels of service by now. It took us a long time to order our drinks and food, and when our drinks arrived they were nearly empty and we did not receive the Prosecco shot with the mango martini. Our starters came out very quickly after ordering, making us question the freshness of the food. When our mains arrived, the steaks were cooked to the wrong temperatures and the sauce was poured on the wrong one. My sister's steak was tough and of poor quality, and when we tried to address the issues with the staff, they seemed more interested in chatting at the bar. Additionally, the lady next to us received the wrong dish and no apology was offered. Overall, the evening was ruined by the poor food and service. I rarely write complaints, but I felt this experience needed to be addressed, especially considering the amount of money we spent on the show. The O2 should look into the quality of its restaurants near the stadium. Additionally, we were unable to use our Meerkat Movies offer on show nights, which was disappointing."

"Although the restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere, there was a lack of staff in the service, resulting in a long wait to be seated and served. Two out of four people in our party ordered the sirloin steak, which was disappointing for the price of $20. The portion included only a handful of fries and the steak itself, without any garnish. The quality of the meat was also subpar, with a significant amount of gristle. The fries were not crispy, but rather greasy. I believe there are other establishments that provide better value for the money paid and offer higher quality meals."

"After he had previously looked after the restaurant, we wanted to sit at a certain place, as we knew within half an hour that it will be loud and our old friend would find it hard to hear us. Unfortunately, this happened, and our experience was ruined. we also had to book online for 1245 and at 1220 we were there immediately, as there were only three people sitting all over the inner. we decided to eat almost anywhere else, as we didn't want to wait until 1245, there were clearly seats available, but not after the website that felt a little inconspicuous. eating was good as always and the personal service worthy. thank you."

"What can I say.... I decided to take my partner out for his Birthday. What a special treat it was. Lovely drink in the Library in front of an open fire. Canapés were server there. Then into the dining room which was so lovely. The food was exquisit! We also went for the wine flight which was an additional expense... but added to the great experience. Would live to come again!"
