"We celebrated a special occasion for lunch at the Ritz ,the hotel and the dining room is one of it's kind and is a visual treat,the service is second to none and has been top draw throughout;now the food 2 canape of goats cheese and foiegras were both delight to eat and very well executed the goats cheese canape best of both ;wife's starter of cured salmon again vibrant and well flavoured ;my sea bass with lemon and beans was good but I thought it could have been more exciting on texture and flavour ;my mains of lamb was the weakest dish of the menu,basil puree the stand out element on the plate ;partners halibut was outstanding;dessert of souffle and chocolate were both delight to eat;petit fours was good but lack the depth of textures and flavours; bread was the finest you can get with a well formed crust and texture it was a delight to eat; overall it was a special experience with great food and fantastic service;Will definitely return and thanks to the great team"

"We arrived earlier than planned but not a problem, seated us in the bar and ordered cocktails. At the appointed time we were asked if we wanted to move to the table and our drinks quickly followed us. Maitre de was excellent, on hand when required and organised the serving team well. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the wine and made good recommendations about the Bookatable menu options. Service continued to be efficient and unobtrusive. We spent a lovely two and a half hours celebrating my daughters graduation, the restaurant team recognised this with a tailored dessert! The one down side would be the massively overpriced wine. How can a cocktail (just under 10, expensive, but London price) be less than a glass of mid range red 14.50, nice, but not 14.50 a glass nice The food was good value even with the Filet Steak upgrade, just a shame about the drinks prices. Did not detract from an excellent experience, thanks to the Tuesday evening team at Gaucho Smithfield."

"I have a had a cocktail of two in the past at Franco's but have never eaten there. i will again. While the food is really just great Italian staples the ambience and quality is excellent. The staff are attentive and adaptable. cocktails were excellent and the food served as you like it. My lasagne was very tasty!"

"I visited the Hilltop Café for a late afternoon meal, especially since many other places were closed. I was really pleased with my experience. I had a delicious cheeseburger served in a soft bun, complemented by pickles, tomatoes, and caramelized onions. My partner ordered the avocado smash, but without the bread, and instead with chips. They created a lovely salad for her, featuring sliced avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, and chips (though I prefer chunkier chips). The staff was incredibly helpful, and I even received a complimentary soft drink. The tea was a high-quality Earl Grey with milk, which I enjoyed. The tables were adorned with beautiful flowers, and the lovely sunshades created a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of a tavern in Greece or the Mediterranean. Overall, it was a delightful experience!"

"Supposedly Butlers restaurant in the Chesterfield Hotel is known as a fine dining restaurant but in actuality it is a huge, mismanaged disappointment in almost every respect. One is at first we were shocked to see one half of the nicely appointed dining room permanently closed and out of service. We now understand after experiencing the Butlers food and service, it is apparent the regularly dining public is staying away. Why? Well to just name a few of the startling inferior aspects of the Butlers..... First let me assure the reader our traveling family was expecting a well prepared and well served expensive meal which was our goal. A goal we had no problem in fulfilling elsewhere in renowned London restaurants. Caesar salads were served with zero dressing with no attempt to reconcile this lack despite bringing it to the attention of the otherwise friendly but poorly trained staff. Most of our party of eight ordered salads but half of them came 15-20 minutes after the others were delivered. Some main dishes were barely warm and the sauce for some seemed to be nothing but plain unadulterated bouillon or Vegemite. and the accompanying potato mash was totally unheated. Plus after pointing this out and waiting 15 minutes for a warm mash, they served lukewarm mash again. One of our party wanted tequila on the rocks in a salt rimmed glass. The maîtresse de was dumbfounded and said just use the sale on the table which is impossible to do in a filled glass. There is much more lacking at Butlers, but suffice it to say avoid Butlers like the plague. I take no joy in reporting this and merely wished for an upscale and happily memorable dinner."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"We regularly go to the Halfway St. branch for their burgers. My wife is a vegan and judges that their vegan burgers are the best she's had. Including upmarket central London restaurants where she has paid double. On a recent visit we paid cash and it seems that two of the new plastic £10 notes had stuck together in my wallet and I unwittingly handed over £10 too much. Our server came back to our table and returned the £10 to me. Really good and varied food, great friendly service and integrity as well. A winning combination."

"I had been to this restaurant located in Nottingham,UK. I could not find them here but i'm rating it here : I had been here with my cousins and its a lovely place....its to die for!!! The staff are very friendly and disciplined.It has a WIFI connectivity available...you need to register first though...The food is simply amazing and delicious....If you live in the UK or anywhere...you must definitely visit this place!!!! I've been told all the Chiquito Restaurants all over are very good...personally got to experience it...Its quite expensive but the food is worth paying so much!! I would definitely visit this place next time when I visit The UK. Its a great place to hangout with family and cousins : Keep up the great work you guys have done : A humble request from is that you should open a branch in Bangalore,India. "We booked lunch on line fo4 1145 as we were going to the cinem afterwards. Upon arriving at the robust restaurant we were sat down and handed a brunch menu, apparently they don’t serve lunch until 1230 despite the on line booking Staff were appologetic and for some reason moved us to another table. We were given an amuse bouche to fill in time....sadly that was the highlight. Menu was ok. Ordered the seafood raviolo as a starter with seafood bisque. The pasta was soft on the top but far too hard on its rim. Interesting challenge was eating a bisque with a knife and fork! I had to ask for a spoon. Main was roast partridge in a far too salty sauce, the texture was fascinating as it was supplemented with feathers! My friend had short rib that was also too salty too. My dessert was a lovely creme brûlée, but to add a whisky soaked prune base is bizarre in the extreme. Creme brûlée is a very subtle flavour the compote was far too strong! It was a detour for lunch, was it worth it.....categorically NOT!! Toilets were clean but freezing cold. Not a great experience the prices were high the food wasn’t worth the cost. £85 for two is expensive for what we had."

"first we came in and it was really ugly. there were quiet music and the furniture was really nice. next we ordered, but our waitress was a bit grumpy. but our food came in 14 minutes. it is like almost food restaurant. the Canadian breakfast was really good and the pancakes were huge and delicious. it is a really good restaurant and some of the waiters are really polite. this is a definite 4-star restaurant I just turned 12"

"What a superb pub staffed by lovely professionals. We were here for an evening meal. I had the duo of beef which was blade of beef and two generous portions of fillet of beef. This and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. My wife had the lamb cooked 2 ways which was also excellent. The Eton mess to finish was another triumph and a very individual and modern take. This was 5* restaurant cooking at its best. Congratulations to all the staff and thank you for a memorable meal."

"charlottes used to be one of our favourites to eat and entertain friends, but recently the dinge seems to have gone a little bit wrong here. when we arrived, we were told that most fresh fish dishes were not available because the supplier might not have supplied any disturbing sign? the sweet potatoes gnocchi were not good, the others were okay. the service was, however, very complete and not on the standard for the prices they raise in my opinion. it was not busy, but we had to draw attention to order and ask twice for the beverage menu. chips were forgotten, coffee was forgotten, the personal looked haunted. on the plus side the appetizers arrived immediately and were good (although from any reason the Caesar salad was not available? odd) and the waitress offered a free pudding in exchange for a plate of uneaten gnocchi. we can return, but unfortunately I don't think we have the chance to invite friends there again."

"The hotel itself is lovely. Well equipped, stylish and we slept extremely well (we didn't notice any noise from the construction across the street . However, the service is mediocre and not what one would expect from a 5 star (or even 4 star hotel. They asked me multiple times throughout my stay for my credit card, couldn't get charges straight and ended up changing me twice (or three times? For breakfast. When I complained, no apology was offered. The doorman is lovely and extremely helpful and the breakfast good value."

Just very unorganised some people in the party received their food 30 minutes after the rest of the party had finished. "Good food but awful service. We were sat down, then left alone for few minutes without menu, water or anything. Then we got the menu but still no water. Another couple was sat down nearby and they got served way before us, having had two waitresses serving them whereas they weren't bothered about us. When I wanted to pay, she put the bill on the table and went off, didn't come back for minutes and when we started looking for her, she was just laughing and flirting with the manager Didn't even apologise for having us wait. Seriously, for such a fancy looking place, the lack of any good service is very alarming."

"We ate a late lunch here as a family of 4 last weekend. We were in a bit of a rush as we had to catch a train, and the food did arrive very quickly. I think to pay £9.95 for a halloumi wrap with salad is a bit on the pricey side and would’ve expected a few fries to be included at that price. The souvlaki salad and grilled chicken mayo sandwich were both really over-seasoned unfortunately. On a positive note, the staff are very polite and helpful."
