"Visited Friday afternoon, restaurant was very quiet only a few people dining. We chose this restaurant due to a Voucher we had been given as a present. I am a vegetarian and found the set menu very limited. Starter was awful, had the beetroot one, not sure what the white food in the middle was but when you cut it just leaked white milky sauce over the plate! Partner had chicken wings, sauce was tasty but too messy and tricky to eat in a restaurant. The mains ordered, a veggie burger which was disgusting, looked liked a meat burger and was very over cooked and chewy. My partner tasted it, I took it out of the bun and just ate that and the chips which were hot and tasty. My partner had the meat burger and said it was delicious. The only saving dishes to this meal were the desserts, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie. I would rather have eaten that 3x over than what I had been dished up prior. Drinks over priced, 1 small coke in a bottle and 1 small Moretti bottle £11 and then we had to pay service charge on top. Wouldn’t return, we’ve got another voucher to use but will be giving this away. Left hungry and disappointed."

"This restaurant is housed within the excellent Four Seasons Hampshire hotel. Unfortunately though this restaurant seriously lets the hotel down. We found the service to be very good, and the ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, but the food leaves so much to be desired....There is minimal choice on the menu (even most small restaurants and pubs have a more extensive and varied menu), so if you’re staying in the hotel for quite a few days as we were, you would very quickly become bored with eating the same things. However, the main issues are the portion sizes, the extremely poor value for money, and the way some of the food is cooked. As an example, one evening I ordered dover sole. When it arrived it was such a small piece that I could have eaten it in three mouthfuls. And on top of that it was hard and overcooked. These three mouthfuls of overcooked fish cost I have no problem at all paying that price, but I do expect the fish to be cooked properly and for the portion to be of a normal and acceptable size. We did bring this issue to the attention of the staff and I must say they addressed the situation extremely professionally, but the enjoyment of our meal had unfortunately already been marred. We originally had no intention of eating anywhere else other than the hotel restaurant, but after two nights eating at the Wild Carrot we’d had enough. We then found a great pub (The Queens Head) just a little way down the road where the menu choices were far greater, the food was cooked perfectly, the service was extremely friendly and efficient, and the portion sizes meant it was much better value for money. We weren’t surprised to see another couple at this pub who were also staying at the Four Seasons. They were eating at the pub for the exact same reasons as we were. If you’re in the area or staying at the Four Seasons, you definitely won’t be disappointed if you eat at The Queens Head pub. I did find it somewhat bizarre that eating in a pub was so much better in every way than eating in the restaurant of the five star hotel that we were staying in. The Wild Carrot really does need to up its game."

"The food was wonderful, and we chose champagne, which paired beautifully with the meal. At the end of our dining experience, they presented us with a lovely plate of homemade pralines and a birthday message—such a thoughtful touch! The only minor thing was that we visited on a quiet weekday during the off-season. I imagine it might not have been as enjoyable if the place had been busy, especially since children are allowed. Personally, I would prefer an adult-only environment. There were two babies in the room, but thankfully, they behaved well! Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I want to extend my gratitude to everyone at the Four Seasons."

"Great food,I had the veggie arepa and it was delicious. Would also recommend the plantain. Reasonable priced and tasty cocktails. Service was very good as well, staff were friendly. Only negative is that I was a bit cold because it was march and the arches are difficult to heat"

"all about señor ceviche was amazing. we went to the groundless brunch. the staff was super friendly and prompt, the location was great, the mood was super! we paid £40 for 4 small teller and dessert plus groundless Mimosas/belinis/wine. eating was amazing and honestly deserves £40 itself. then the drinks – we never had an empty glass. Probably had 7-10 Moimosa/belinis over the 1.75 hours. perfect brunch place! had to pay a pay (not charged) of £10/person for a reservation, but totally worth it! could not recommend! pick them the slitt shoe that it was amazing!"

"Interesting, adventurous 'nikkei cooking, in a bright corner spot over-looking the common. The Thursday-Friday lunch at £19.50 is a steal; recommend the mochi cheese bread w truffle as an add-on. Lovely marble counter bar and excellent, knowledgeable friendly service from Elisa and the team. They opened in 2019 so were hit hard by lockdown and are pretty much starting afresh; definitely worth a visit to try the food and support the kind of restaurant that London is short of. Independent, delicious and reasonable. The all day weekend brunch menu looked pretty good too."

"We had a table for two booked for 18:30. At 19:40 o 'clock the waiter came to inform us that they needed the table at 20:00 o 'clock and if they could move us to the bar. We were still waiting for one of our dishes and had not had the chance to even look at the desserts. I asked him why so early and he just shrugged 'it is all about business ' I then retorted that except this there is also such thing as customer satisfaction. He just moved away. The last of the dishes came shortly after he went away. He then came back 10 minutes later to tell us that the table was no longer needed so we could stay! Phew, as this gave us a chance to order a dessert... His attitude was also excessively familiar, which I disliked. I also asked for the tasting menu that is clearly listed on your web side and was told 'This is Mayfair '. A rather disappointing experience and disrespectful service despite the good food, albeit at very high premium. Certainly did not feel welcome."

"I love this restaurant. It’s unpretentious and the food is excellent. The arepas are lovely and my favourite is arepas con carne mechada which is beef, the empanadas are delicious too and I love the plantains and Black beans . I often go there for...lunch and it is always excellent and really reasonably priced. The owners are really friendly and it has a really nice atmosphere. I cannot recommend it enough"

"It was OK at best. Dont like to be negative but for a pizza place it should be handmade pizza dough bases. They are bought in, in my opinion. There was hardly any cheese or toppings on any of the pizzas we ordered to take away. All i could see on mine was the tomato base. Toppings were sparse. But the prices I suppose are reasonable. You get what you pay for. Ordering was straight forward. Sorry get stuffed but you really need to make your own bases bit more generous on the Toppings too."

"Cute little Venezuelan restaurant with delicious food at a beautiful riverside. The staff is super nice. Nothing else to add really. The location is perfect. Located at a quite road directly at a small river with a pretty viney house just across the water. Maybe a little hard to find by chance, but definitely worth checking out when stumbling across it. The food is absolutely delicious. I've never had Venezuelan before and unfortunately it's my last day in London, else I would have come here again. I definitely will when I happen to be in London again. We were a group of 7 people and had pretty much all starters. We all agreed that all of them were fantastic. After raising the bar the expectations for the main dishes were high. And we weren't disappointed. It may sound ridiculous and it surely feels so writing this out. But the food was the best I've had in a very long time. I can't even pinpoint certain things. It just was everything. The great staff, the beautiful location, the terrific food. For all of that the price is pretty fair as well. London is a bit more expensive than other cities, so in comparison to other restaurants this definitely offers quite a bit more for the same amount of money. Even if it may sound like it, this review wasn't bought or anything. I wish :D But seriously, do yourself a favour and try it out. Either you just aren't into that kind of food, or you will love it. I definitely did!"

"Ate here on a Saturday night, was really just meh. Food was in desperate need of seasoning and flavour. We got what our waiter recommended were the best dishes and they were both tragic. My wife got the enchiladas and I got a diced steak and cheese dish. Both were swimming in flavorless cheese and absolutely a chore to eat. We are from Australia and have a lot better South American food than this. Regardless of your motivation to remain loyal to the traditional cooking of the dishes origins a little seasoning and educated tweaking to flavours goes a long way. This place really just missing the mark, it was quite busy not sure why. Would not return. Wait staff were very friendly my only...read more"

"Went here for our anniversary. The staff were kind enough to seat us by the windows which was lovely as well as the sweet treat we got for dessert! Generally the service was great and the ambience very hip and chic. Food wise the trio of ceviche was very tasty albeit on the small side. The tacos amd quesadilla were average and could have used a little more flavour. Overall a tad expensive for that you get however the views ambience are part of the experience you pay for."

"Incredible, authentic Mexican food. Me and my partner both agreed that the enchiladas were the best thing we’d eaten in a very long time! The portion sizes were great and the food was incredibly flavourful. As a vegan foodie myself, it’s rare to get such amazing food outside of a specifically vegan restaurant I genuinely didn’t feel like I was missing out with the dairy free cheese and oat cream that the chef used... he really worked wonders! The mushrooms were rich and the salsa was perfectly spiced. My (meat loving date had the chicken, as well as trying some of mine, and agreed that both were equally as delicious! The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and helpful a real hidden gem!! We’ve raved about Viva la Mexicana to all our friends and will definitely be returning :"

"The food was exquisite, I had the beef paneang and it was fragrant and flavoursome. The starters were amazing too: pork dumplings, pork belly, duck spring rolls and crispy squid bits. Also the most amazing part was how wonderful they were with allergies! The online allergen matrix was one of the best I’ve seen, include toggles for ‘may contain’ warnings. Dietary restrictions: Peanut and nut allergy it was a wonderful experience! Very at ease. "The appetizers we ordered were delicious with generous portion sizes, and both the pho and tom yum we tried were outstanding—full of flavor and a good portion as well. Overall, we had a fantastic night at Phosmiths and will definitely return many times until we move out of the area. We can’t believe it took us so long to discover this absolute gem right at our doorstep!"

"The gastronomic delight that is Lima restaurant offers a pleasant experience and an interesting experience to Peruvian cuisine. Its decor had a tasteful ambiance that is neither over the top nor too muted. Our culinary journey at Lima started with a classic Ceviche an embodiment of freshness, vibrant in flavor. However, for those accustomed to the traditional Peruvian kick, it might need a tad more salt and a generous addition of aji (chilli) to satisfy your palate. The Octopus Crab Causa was another delightful dish. The perfect combination of sea flavors, together with the well seasoned potato, added a beautiful depth to the dish. But, the real winner amongst the appetizers was the Croquetas de Ají de Gallina an absolute triumph that is bound to make you want more. For the main course, we chose the Beef Filet Saltado (Lomo Saltado) which came with rice. The beef was beautifully tender, with a melody of flavors playing in each bite, all harmonized beautifully with the rich jus. Unfortunately, the dessert didn't live up to the high standard set by the preceding dishes. We had the Tres Leches, which it's a dessert that tends to be a crowd pleaser but was somewhat forgettable in this setting. The dining experience at Lima was overall very satisfying. Although it might lean a bit towards the expensive side, it was expected and feels justified for the quality of the food and the nice ambiance. Lima certainly strives to maintain the authenticity of Peruvian cuisine while adapting some variations for the British public. In summary, Lima restaurant is an excellent choice for a unique dining experience that takes you on a culinary journey to Peru without leaving the heart of London. I am already looking forward to my next visit."

"Fabulous food! Really thoughtful combinations of flavours and textures. Interesting dishes that you might not have encountered before. All vegetarian or vegan, so a great choice for those who don't eat meat or other animal products. We shared a range of dishes, and loved them all. Service was also excellent the right combination of attentive without pestering you every few minutes. Highly recommended. Book to avoid disappointment."

"only once visited this place. it was on a Wednesday evening, but the compact setting made it quite busy considering the middle week-time slot. there was not enough space for the four of us sitting in the main part, so we sat on chairs around the corner. this was the part of our service and our comfort. this is however a restaurant in every sense of the word, so that the casual service and the cool furniture are to be expected and even loved, depending on the age and setting. the main reason for the visit was of course eating. it wasn't disappointed. between the four of us we explored a good part of the menu and all agreed it was very delicious. none of us had ever visited mexico before so can not comment to the authenticity, but in comparison to the many Mexican restaurants I visited in london, this was certainly worth visiting here at the top end of the scale."

"Ordered Skepasti with Tzatziki inside and chips. Whole meal was dry. I asked for any sauce like Tahini or Tzatziki but was told to go back online and order for £1.20. They had mustard, hot sauce and a bit of ketchup for free. The sandwich was toasted and the chicken was just small flecks which seemed like overcooked off-cuts of something else. Some onions and a few strands of pepper constituted the salad inside. This is the first meal I have not finished as it was so dry, I finished my can of drink half way though. I'm surprised they don't give out the sauce that the place is named after to customers. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3"
