"This restaurant is housed within the excellent Four Seasons Hampshire hotel. Unfortunately though this restaurant seriously lets the hotel down. We found the service to be very good, and the ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, but the food leaves so much to be desired....There is minimal choice on the menu (even most small restaurants and pubs have a more extensive and varied menu), so if you’re staying in the hotel for quite a few days as we were, you would very quickly become bored with eating the same things. However, the main issues are the portion sizes, the extremely poor value for money, and the way some of the food is cooked. As an example, one evening I ordered dover sole. When it arrived it was such a small piece that I could have eaten it in three mouthfuls. And on top of that it was hard and overcooked. These three mouthfuls of overcooked fish cost I have no problem at all paying that price, but I do expect the fish to be cooked properly and for the portion to be of a normal and acceptable size. We did bring this issue to the attention of the staff and I must say they addressed the situation extremely professionally, but the enjoyment of our meal had unfortunately already been marred. We originally had no intention of eating anywhere else other than the hotel restaurant, but after two nights eating at the Wild Carrot we’d had enough. We then found a great pub (The Queens Head) just a little way down the road where the menu choices were far greater, the food was cooked perfectly, the service was extremely friendly and efficient, and the portion sizes meant it was much better value for money. We weren’t surprised to see another couple at this pub who were also staying at the Four Seasons. They were eating at the pub for the exact same reasons as we were. If you’re in the area or staying at the Four Seasons, you definitely won’t be disappointed if you eat at The Queens Head pub. I did find it somewhat bizarre that eating in a pub was so much better in every way than eating in the restaurant of the five star hotel that we were staying in. The Wild Carrot really does need to up its game."

"Cute little Venezuelan restaurant with delicious food at a beautiful riverside. The staff is super nice. Nothing else to add really. The location is perfect. Located at a quite road directly at a small river with a pretty viney house just across the water. Maybe a little hard to find by chance, but definitely worth checking out when stumbling across it. The food is absolutely delicious. I've never had Venezuelan before and unfortunately it's my last day in London, else I would have come here again. I definitely will when I happen to be in London again. We were a group of 7 people and had pretty much all starters. We all agreed that all of them were fantastic. After raising the bar the expectations for the main dishes were high. And we weren't disappointed. It may sound ridiculous and it surely feels so writing this out. But the food was the best I've had in a very long time. I can't even pinpoint certain things. It just was everything. The great staff, the beautiful location, the terrific food. For all of that the price is pretty fair as well. London is a bit more expensive than other cities, so in comparison to other restaurants this definitely offers quite a bit more for the same amount of money. Even if it may sound like it, this review wasn't bought or anything. I wish :D But seriously, do yourself a favour and try it out. Either you just aren't into that kind of food, or you will love it. I definitely did!"

"The gastronomic delight that is Lima restaurant offers a pleasant experience and an interesting experience to Peruvian cuisine. Its decor had a tasteful ambiance that is neither over the top nor too muted. Our culinary journey at Lima started with a classic Ceviche an embodiment of freshness, vibrant in flavor. However, for those accustomed to the traditional Peruvian kick, it might need a tad more salt and a generous addition of aji (chilli) to satisfy your palate. The Octopus Crab Causa was another delightful dish. The perfect combination of sea flavors, together with the well seasoned potato, added a beautiful depth to the dish. But, the real winner amongst the appetizers was the Croquetas de Ají de Gallina an absolute triumph that is bound to make you want more. For the main course, we chose the Beef Filet Saltado (Lomo Saltado) which came with rice. The beef was beautifully tender, with a melody of flavors playing in each bite, all harmonized beautifully with the rich jus. Unfortunately, the dessert didn't live up to the high standard set by the preceding dishes. We had the Tres Leches, which it's a dessert that tends to be a crowd pleaser but was somewhat forgettable in this setting. The dining experience at Lima was overall very satisfying. Although it might lean a bit towards the expensive side, it was expected and feels justified for the quality of the food and the nice ambiance. Lima certainly strives to maintain the authenticity of Peruvian cuisine while adapting some variations for the British public. In summary, Lima restaurant is an excellent choice for a unique dining experience that takes you on a culinary journey to Peru without leaving the heart of London. I am already looking forward to my next visit."
