"Quirky interior, which was great. Spoke to a young man behind the counter who told us to take a seat and someone would be with us. A young girl and older woman looked at us a few times over the minutes that we were sat there, before the younger girl finally brought menu's. Huge menu, with lots to choose from. Ordered a few minutes later, and waited. Sadly we were informed that they no longer do child sized portions of the cakes, so we ended up with a massive slab of chocolate cake which was only half eaten by our year old. The older woman then approached the table with waffles but referred to one of them with a different name to that on the menu, so we politely said that wasn't our order. The woman basically barked at us that this was what we had ordered. We tried to explain that we hadn't ordered a waffle with that name, and she gave us the filthiest look before tutting and storming back to the counter. We didn't catch what she called us as she walked away. She then very clearly spoke to the young girl about us, giving us filthy looks throughout. The young girl came over with the same waffles and apologised stating there was a miscommunication and that the waffle was the one we has ordered, and not the one the old woman had said. Maybe it would be best to keep such a rude woman out of a public facing role as she clearly holds no interest in any customer service, unless it is bad customer service. She was giving filthy looks to other customers too, not just us, and a couple who dared to walk out after of being ignored was slated by her as they left."

"Had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated as staff were busy. Not sure why there’s a requirement for the staff need to seat you, when you have to go up to the till yourself to order food drinks, rather than it being table service. The table wasn’t clean but the server spotted this before we did and wiped it over. Quite a lot of choice on the menu which was good. When we ordered, it was irritating that they wouldn’t swap a gelato flavour in a sundae. At the end of placing the order, only then were we told there would be quite a long wait for the desserts (in the end, we waited even longer than the length of time they advised). Took over 20 minutes for staff to bring us just some tap water. They were busy but seemed to be prioritising takeaway/delivery orders rather than customers there in person. My Mum and brother both ordered sundaes, these arrived first with several minutes between. 10 minutes later, my waffle had still not arrived. By this point, my brother had finished his dessert obviously he couldn’t delay eating due to the ice cream melting! I asked one of the staff how long the waffle would be, she was clueless so we had to check with someone else. I commented that people on another table who didn’t go into Creams until half an hour after we did and ordered way after us had got their waffles before me! Staff could not explain this. The waffle was a high price point at £9, so for that cost I didn’t expect to be waiting 45 minutes and lose the opportunity to eat dessert at the same time as my family. Understandably, I complained. The manager was apologetic and explained the delay was due to them having to make more waffle mixture. I suggested they should have put the sundaes together once the waffle was nearly ready, so the desserts could have come out together common sense for a small party to be served their food altogether, surely?! They offered a free drink by way of an apology. The desserts tasted very nice and were generous portions. It was a real shame because the slow service and lengthy wait between the first third desserts being served impacted on our experience of enjoying pudding out as a family. Cutlery wasn’t the cleanest either."
