"I took my team to Jewel for cocktails after some initial food and drinks in Waxy O 'connors which is a just around the corner. We arrived at around 7pm and had the standard security checks before we entered. There were 14 of us in total so I was pleasantly surprised (as I was picking up the tab) when we found out that it was 241 on cocktails until 8pm so we managed to squeeze in a couple of rounds before the promotion ended. The bar team were polite enough and patient as they dealt with one big round after another. The venue is quite small with minimal seating but is dark classy with the music being upbeat and perfect for our occasion. In terms of negatives it was a little frustrating that they add service charge to every drinks order then claim that they were unable to remove it. We are familiar with Zonal and Aztec systems so a few members of the team felt it unnecessary especially as we were already tipping with cash, I 'm sure service charge is supposed to be optional but there you go. The only other thing that stopped it being a 4* review is that when we were leaving our team exited the venue in small groups so to ensure that everyone had left I asked if I could re-enter to double check that nobody had been left behind. Unfortunately the doorman requested I pay a £10 entrance fee. When I suggested that we had already been in and spent a few quid at the bar (Only about £300 or so, so not huge amounts) he quipped that I could afford another £10 then needless to say that I didn 't pay it however it was a shame to end it on that note. Overall the team enjoyed the visit, made the most of the dancers cage and had a decent experience in this beautiful little bar right in the heart of London."

"We booked the kitty cafe in advance for my mums birthday treat. On arrival we paid a fee of £14 and had no explanation on what this was for we googled whilst we were there and found out it was for the cat welfare which is fine however to have no explanation as to why was actually quite rude. We were made aware we had an hours slot and we’re show to our table. After 5 minutes our order was taken and we were told we could roam around. If it wasn’t bad enough that a child around ages 7 threw a ball at a cat and it then bit my mum! (We don’t expect you to take responsibility for someone else’s child and appreciate the cat would have been scared) however we paid for the welfare but nobody was ensuring this was delivered. We then received our drinks after 40 minutes meaning we only had 20 minutes and no food had arrived. It wasn’t busy and after a further 15 minutes we went to ask how long the food would be as our slot was up in 5 mins. We were told by the manager that she would go and check and she came over to tell us part of our order was ready the other would be a few minutes. We explained that we had a 10 month old baby with us and we had booked you specifically knowing we had an hours slot because any longer and he’d become agitated so if the order was not out in 5 minutes we’d need a refund. She reassured us it would be. 15 minutes again passed and we watched numerous people ask for refunds the service really was not great and no one was told a wait on food. We decided after an hour and 20 minutes to ask for a refund we were told 20 minutes earlier that part of our order was ready so I’m not sure if there were planning on serving one of the hot meals cold or just at poor quality. We were really disappointed with our visit and did get a refund on the food however I really don’t feel that’s good enough. There was no apology, no information on a food or drink wait, the cats welfare clearly was not being put first and overall not only are we disappointed but actually sad with our visit."

"I’m rather snobby when it comes to pizza, I only consume pizza that is of outstanding Italian restaurant quality. I will never order it when I am of sound state of mind. Being the 20 year old I am however means I engage in “binge drinking” and clubbing. This often leaves me being in a state of mind that is not sound given the impacts of alcohol. I am prone to being in desperation for food when I conclude these nights of drinking and debauchery, anything I can consume that is non toxic is holy like the bread given out by Jesus at the last supper. I find myself in the company of someone I do not know, in a place I am unfamiliar with. Takeout pizza is often the solution to this dilemma and with great shame I have resorted many times to ordering subpar pizza. I digress. I ordered my first pizza from this establishment last night. I was tired, hungry and depressed. I certainly was in no hurry to do anything productive such as cook myself dinner. Alas, the hunger I could take no more and at the point of starvation I was given no choice but to turn to takeout. Pizza was my only option given that the only thing I despise more than bad pizza is Chinese takeaway. I don’t even order that when drunk. Begrudgingly I searched for pizza, I realised I was stuck with Dominos or Papa Johns. The shame in ordering pizza this time was greater than ever before as I didn’t have the excuse of being drunk and being somewhere I didn’t know. It felt like an assault on my sense of taste, given that I insist on only the highest quality pizza as previously mentioned. It only added to my sadness, but my hunger was too great. By the grace of god I found a third option that gave me another local option. Dodo pizza. Perchance I give it an opportunity. After all it could not be any worse than Dominos and Papa Johns. I have been writing this for an ungodly amount of time now, so I hope given my utter hate for takeaway pizza it helps emphasise how pleased I was with my experience. I shall get to the point. My two margherita pizzas arrived, one thin crust and one normal (bogof for your first order on THEIR app , not just eat, which is the reason for two). It came within an incredibly short time, I hope that doesn’t mean you don’t get much business as you deserve more than other places. I opened the and my eyes noticeably widened in surprise at how good it looked in comparison to other chains. I tried both pizzas, the crust and thickness were good on both. Not the standard of restaurant pizza but incredibly good given it is takeaway. It was light and not too heavy like you’d usually expect. The sauce was flavourful and has a nice sharpness to it. Cheese was well distributed, not too thick and rubbery. They make a pizza that I don’t have to feel ashamed of ordering sober. I cba writing a decent closing to this now but know it’s better than other chains and I would recommend it to anyone after a takeaway"

"Use to be a lovely atmosphere with great staff and food however since the new owners have come in the standards have dropped and they don’t seem to care. Visited with a friend for a quick bite to eat for lunch, place was quiet, not like before when it use to be bustling. Asked for a panini meal and specifically asked if the spicy chicken was marinated where they lady behind the till confirmed it was. I am quite picky with my food and if the member of staff confirms something then you expect it to arrive like you expect. When it arrived I could immediately see that the chicken was not marinated, instead there were 2 pieces of chicken, and I’m not lying when I say they must have been each the size of two 50p pieces and super thin, plain and not marinated, the chilly came via some chilly sauce out of a bottle topped on the chicken. The panini was accompanied with a minuscule amount of chips and salad on the side, more suitable for a kiddy’s meal. When questioning the person behind the till who confirmed it was marinated originally replied with “no that’s how it come”, obviously I was slightly irate as it’s not what I expected, and to top it off my bottle of water that I paid £1.50 was Costco’s very own 330ml Kirkland brand. Overall I will not be returning to this place. The food has gone down hill and the owners don’t care. Maybe I was just unlucky and it was and off day but I won’t go again. Food was below average and definitely not value for money."
