"My daughter just had her wedding at the Cradock m. Afternoon meal, reception and evening food. The ceremony was at a church just round the corner and she wanted a pub style venue. As we had eaten there a couple of times, enjoyed the food and knew they catered for private events in the bottom bar we thought we’d ask what they could do. She spoke to Curtis their events manager, by his admission the pub had rarely put on any weddings. She would have been OK just to book the lovely old beamed room with a meal, sort out some music and have a party but Curtis was determined from the off to give her the best wedding experience the pub could. He was great in the build up working with her requests and easing any stresses. And the day could not have gone better. The pub dressed the rooms to her exact specifications, laid out all the decorations and flowers she left them with, set all the tables to her plan and the staff that worked all day could not have been more attentive. Huge thanks to Jay and Patrick and the chefs. Everything went perfectly, the food was great, any minor issues were sorted immediately (a louder speaker for the dance floor appeared within a minute of asking), the drinks flowed and everybody had an amazing time. And value wise it was superb! Thank you Jay, Patrick, Curtis, all absolute diamonds and the Cradock for making my daughter’s special day so brilliant."

Good food, children's portions generous, service a bit slow at peak times. Calm atmosphere, not filled with rowdy patrons at lunch time, more older adults playing dominoes

I didn't get a chance to Try the food as this place was extremely busy when I went but the drinks were very reasonably priced and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I will definitely go back and check it out again

i just returned from The Cradock today 02.02.2024 I am a fish and chips lover I travel a lot and I try it everywhere from here to Australia The Cradock fish and chips were probably the best I ever had . please never change what you're doing bravo

Absolutely love The Cradock Arms! We were a party of 25 for my 49+1 Birthday Sunday lunch on 7th January 2024. Kurtis and the team were fabulous! They catered for everyone with dietary requirements and we were all very well looked after. Our pre booked meals were delicious and hot and the service was outstanding! I took my relatives (from the USA) here a few weeks ago and they were blown away by the amazing Sunday lunch! I can’t recommend the Cradock Arms enough for their hospitality, service and the amazing quality of food, all in a lovely pub. Thank you for making my day so memorable and we’ll be seeing you again, very soon, possibly every Sunday!! Thank you!

Really lovely, family friendly pub with a cosy atmosphere in spite of its size. A nice garden and gazebo in the summer and roaring fireplaces and mulled wine on offer through the winter, what more could you ask for? The lovely young lads at the bar are a real credit to the business. No matter how busy it gets and it does get very busy at times nothing is too much trouble and service is always with a smile. Drinks are very reasonably priced and there's a good selection of snacks, too. I'd like to see soya milk as an option for hot drinks and maybe a few more options in the restaurant for vegetarians, but other than that, this pub is excellent for families, couples, singles and community group...
