"It’s not the first time we’ve visited Lilu and that’s because it is SO good. They have outstanding, fresh, tasty food and wonderful service from all the staff who make you feel welcome as soon as you step inside. Two courses are £35 or three...for £39. Book yourself in to make sure you get a table. They also offer tasting menus and other options so it’s worth checking out their website. We had the soft shell crab and salmon with mango and mint, the chicken tikka and lamb cutlets kebabs with a blue cheese naan, a medium chicken dish with a tasty sweet sauce and potatoes, duck with a medium spiced sauce with rice and various exciting sides, we also had three of the Lilu special naans and the papadums with an assortment of chutneys. To finish we had the chocolate ganache dessert which was so tasty. This place is a definite must try in Leicester! You will not regret it."

This place is only open on Friday Saturday night but is a really nice restaurant in the town. I believe they only do the tasting menu which was superb although pricey at £59 ph. But despite that, it was really good. Each course was...introduced to us by the owner. View menu

absolutely sensational. the service and eating here is on a whole new level that I have not found anywhere even in leicester. they are made to feel like the royal feelings when they go through the door until they go. a wonderful, relaxed...final culinary experience with eating that is full of passion. absolutely fabulous value for money.

a real gem. we were looking for something special for a “friend reunion” and this was delivered in every aspekt. we had the tasting menu and it was delicious. full of taste and not too spicy (I am sure that they can adapt it for different flavors.) The... stuff was all exceptionally friendly and explained all the courses. all agreed it was the best Indian meal we ever had (and we all traveled very well.)

Pratik always greets us with the warmest of welcomes no matter how long it’s been since our last visit. The food it always delicious and varied allowing you to get a real taste of some wonderful dishes that you might not have typically come across...at another Indian restaurant. Dining is casual yet refined and the pace is such that you are not made to feel rushed and can relax and enjoy every mouthful. Always a treat and well worth a visit if you’ve not tried the place! I almost don't want to give Lilu more praise as getting a table is tough already but for all the right reasons. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel exceptionally welcome. The staff were all very knowledgable and attentive without making you...feel watched. The food arrived at a relaxed pace and was nothing short of sensational. This is most definitely not your usual indian restaurant. Both the food and service live up to it's Fine Dining strap line but in a friendly and informal setting. Absolutely incredible value for money, can't wait to return.

pratik is a wonderful host and very passionate about eating. it shows in every court and its enthusiasm is infectious. we chose the 7 cursor menu (they need email in advance) and it was exceptional. we are food and have. many tasting menus in Michelin star restaurants and that was certainly up there. the amount of food is the best we ever had for a tasting menu, don't eat at all day they go! there were 3 hours, we decided for an 18 o'clock. it is a very relaxed environment and the waiter (I did not get his name) was also beautiful and very friendly. we look forward to the return!

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
