"This restaurant was terrible. There was no atmosphere, the staff were serving us in shorts and sandals! The curry was very mediocre, and my two friends couldn't even eat theirs because it was too spicy. We ended up leaving and going to a different restaurant. The exterior of the restaurant was very run-down and unappealing. I will not be recommending this place to anyone."

"We went for a dinner with friends, we ordered salt pepper corn, chilli paneer, masala Mogo, veg samosa’s which were all edible but nothing that was outstanding, but all edible and we all ate. For mains we ordered butter chicken, shahi paneer, dal makhani and naan and nothing was really outsindong, they added juts lots of chilli powder on the dal makhani but forgot to add any butter or cream! The paneer was again the same nothing shahi about it. They did offer to make it again but we didn’t want to wait around for them to make it all again. Be aware when ordering a jug of coke or drink! It’s £12 for 3 large glasses of coke whereas the the jug is £12 and only offer you 1.5 glasses of coke! So felt a bit ripped off there! But we didn’t say anything to them about it but def not worth getting the jug! Lesson learnt not sure if rush back to eat there again as nothing really stood out"

"I have been to this restaurant a few times now and am very happy with the food and the service. I was a bit sceptical when they decided not to seve alcohol any more. Having been back, they have an off licence next door which in fact works out cheaper. Courteous and friendly staff and I'm very happy with the food quality. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"We had biryani with lamb on the bone and my partner had manchurian veggie balls and veggie noodles. The biryani came in a fairly big bowl but the lamb on the bone portion was only just adequate. The lamb was tender and tasted very nice. The rice was just okay Fairly nice flavours but overrall a very dry dish and I didn't like the cloves in the rice. It was expensive for what it was! My partner enjoyed the manchurian veggie balls but said they were very spicy. She did NOT enjoy the veggie noodles as she said they were bland. I tried the noodles too and I could've done a better cooking job at home and I'm not a good cook!!!!! Most of the veggie noodles were left on the plate!! The waiter did NOT help us with our menu choices which is POOR customer service! To sum up, the food was average and expensive for what you got We may be tempted to return if there is a special offer in TWO years time!!!!! "We have had some lovely take away meals from here in the past. But the last two have been quite disappointing. Even though I don't live far from the restaurant and it is delivered very quick the food has been cold recently. We tried the lamb tikka starter for the first time, which was cold and it was really tough like it had not been freshly cooked, we ended up leaving it. The chicken tikka was lovely but also cold and the salad that comes with the starters wasn't fresh. The mains where lovely but again needed warming up and not very big portion sizes at all. Overall I think we will be trying other local Indian restaurants in hope to find a consistent one!"

"While the food and ambience is good, I was taken aback when after booking via OpenTable the waitress was not able to find my booking. Furthermore, she stated we don't use OpenTable and so this was not a valid booking, inspite of my showing the email confirmation and the booking on the app. Wasn't a nice start to an evening when I was taking guests over there, but the food and service thereafter was decent. Pricing is a bit high, but then it has made a name and so was packed even on a Thursday evening. Worth visiting. Perhaps book directly."

"The main courses feature authentic Bangladeshi recipes at reasonable prices. While the starters may seem a bit pricey for takeout at first, they offer generous portions and delicious flavors that make them worth the cost. The poppadoms are a great value, with all the extra accompaniments included by Simla. If you prefer your tandoori dishes less charred, be sure to request this when ordering. My only complaint is that the naan and chapatti are consistently thick and heavy, which is not to my taste. Despite asking for changes, this has not been accommodated. There is also a separate fast food menu for those with varied tastes, although I have not personally tried it. Parking is plentiful outside after 6pm for collection orders, and there are comfortable sofas available for waiting. Overall, a decent option for a curry meal."

"I'm about to order for the second time from here and remembered I said I'd write a review for them if I thought they deserved the praise. They do! Me and my girl both loved the food. Mostly I'd rather cook myself than get a takeaway because I'm generally disappointed with places around Glasgow and feel I've just wasted a bunch of money on low quality garbage. "They also have great offers; it's impressive how they provide such high-quality food at such reasonable prices! We paid about £10 for what we had: poppadoms, a starter, a main course, and a side. We were so full after our meal that we didn't have room for dessert or coffee, but even if we did, I don't think we would have spent more than £15 per person! Better yet, in true Balti house tradition, they allow you to bring your own alcohol, so there's no need to overspend on drinks either! I definitely missed out by not trying this place sooner. I used to think my options were either a) go to a fancy restaurant for good food and pay top dollar for both food and drinks or b) go to a Balti house, where the quality is hit or miss, so I just never bothered, even though it would save me money. Now I've found the best of both worlds: a great restaurant, top-notch food, low prices, and the ability to bring my own alcohol! Is it any wonder that I've been back four times in the last two weeks? "The food was good! We ordered a variety of starters/mains, all unique in taste. None of the curries were similar but all different in their own ways. Food came out piping hot (important for us Ordered a mocktail which was exceptional! Had a few complimentary items which was thoughtful. Staff were very accommodating. A little gutted that there were no cheesecakes available but will be back soon try it! Overall good experience."
