"Hi we ordered a takeaway legally as per covid ! We live only an 8 minute drive away, we were told 20 minutes for collection and we arrived in good time to no que and left for home at around 20 minutes later ! We ordered chicken pakora which was cold ! A portion of chicken tikka masala and it was grainy almost as though the yogurt wasn’t fresh as the sauce looked sandy and was slightly gritty in texture, we also ordered a chicken Korma and the sauce was the same but also spicy (which Korma isn’t supposed to be). With both mains we ordered fried pilau rice which was also cold but even worse when you opened the containers the rice came out in rectangular lumps and it didn’t want to separate and clumped together. The rice was definitely reheated from probably the day before as we ordered our meal at 5.30pm ish. I ordered from this shop on the TripAdvisor ratings and having ordered a starter and 2 main courses if 1 thing was going to be disappointing then fair enough but for the whole meal to be **** then I suggest the owners have had a big hand in the ratings for their establishment. I also at the point of ordering our meal made a point of telling the guy on the phone that this was the 1st time I had ordered from them as their ratings looked great. I will definitely not be spending my hard earned cash in this establishment again disappointed is an understatement !"

"I visited Umami with my partner and daugher in june 2024. The atmosphere was terrible and uncomfortable. The management treatment of staff was appalling, we observed verbal abuse towards waiters, who appeared terrified. Our table was surrounded by 2 waiters for the entire evening, making us feel uncomfortable. The food was was bland, with one dish, the paneer overly sweet, we couldn't eat it. I'm an Indian women and know how indian food should taste like. What they served at Umami was tastless and not quality food. Don't bother asking for a cocktail, because they don't know how to make them. My daughter had previously eaten there and had a the same experience, but we thought that might have been a one off incident, clearly not. I will never eat there again and will tell everyone to avoid going there, because how there treat they staff, like dirt and the standard of the food was not that great. Over priced for poir food. I'll say away and go somewhere else.x I"

"I purchased a groupon voucher. First time I tried to use it I booked a table for two over the phone. No problem they booked me in for the specified time. But when I said I had a groupon voucher I was told I could only use it on a quiet night, not the night which I had already booked for. Ok. So I rebooked for a 'quiet night '. When we arrived it was empty. We were the only people there. We ordered drinks and food. Food was mediocre. Quality rather than quantity, not what I would expect from an Indian restaurant. I would compare it to Iceland frozen curry. We didn 't complain but decided we wouldn 't bother with dessert. The Manager knew we were using a groupon voucher before we ordered however when we wanted to pay and I showed him the photo of the groupon voucher on my phone complete with barcode, Security code and groupon code he scrutinised every detail on it. He said there was no date on it and said to me that people try to use vouchers which are out of date. I then had to point out to him the valid date on it. Then he said we should have printed it out. Then he messed about trying to take a photo of it with his own phone. Then he said I had to give him my phone number in case there was a 'problem ' with the voucher. It was really very awkward. Almost as though he just didn 't want to redeem it. I have used groupon before and I know how to use the groupon voucher code and merchants have never had a problem taking the details off my phone before. I had already read several reviews about the spice centre bad customer service but I had decided to purchase the groupon voucher anyway. I really wished I hadn 't. I won 't go again and will warn everyone I know not to waste their time or money on the Spice centre."

"This establishment has a great selection on the menu. On entering the premises, one can see through the semi open plan kitchen with two neatly dressed ethnic chefs preparing food in specially designed uniforms. The place looked clean and the staff very amicable and friendly. The food taste absolutely great and the portions are generous. The owner is extremely courteous and always asks for comments about their food and service. We have been using the delivery service for several years and has absolutely no qualms about the quality and service."

"On the main road as you head out of Marlow to the East. There is a public car park opposite that you can park. The restaurant is small, well decorated, subdued lighting. The team are professional, polite and attend to every need and request. Everything is clean and tidy. The food is amazing. Portions are not huge, but more than ample is you have a set menu (lunchtime). There is a significant list of beverages to meet anyones tastes and wallet. We even asked for a desert to take home. We are already planning another trip very soon the food was so good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Used this place has a late night curry has my friend said it’s okay I had lamb madras and mild chicken curry with boiled rice and naan bread by the time I got home which was a 5 mile Trek across the other side of town the food was still piping or plus the owner gave us free Pompa Dom‘s and onion chutney which was a nice. Food tasted very nice. Location is easy to find has soon has you enter hersall lane its the 1st left just after the bathroom company and 200 yds on your right by the 1 junction food is good the takeaway building could do with a revamp otherwise I recommend this late night balti shop."

"Orders through just eat and the deliver time was an hour and ten minutes. After this time the app updated to say the food had been delivered but nothing had arrived. I rang direct and was told that the order had been lost in the kitchen and hadn't even been processed. Promised it would be delivered within half an hour. I rang again 45 minutes later and was told it was on the way. Order didn't arrive until a further 25 minutes later. Driver was apologetic and said a driver had broken down. Might have been believable if it hadn't been for the initial mistake with the order and the 2 hour delay. He offered half price next time but I assured him there wouldn't be a next time after such poor service. Sat down to cold food at 9pm after placing the order at 6.19pm. Just awful. Avoid at all costs."

"They also have great offers; it's impressive how they provide such high-quality food at such reasonable prices! We paid about £10 for what we had: poppadoms, a starter, a main course, and a side. We were so full after our meal that we didn't have room for dessert or coffee, but even if we did, I don't think we would have spent more than £15 per person! Better yet, in true Balti house tradition, they allow you to bring your own alcohol, so there's no need to overspend on drinks either! I definitely missed out by not trying this place sooner. I used to think my options were either a) go to a fancy restaurant for good food and pay top dollar for both food and drinks or b) go to a Balti house, where the quality is hit or miss, so I just never bothered, even though it would save me money. Now I've found the best of both worlds: a great restaurant, top-notch food, low prices, and the ability to bring my own alcohol! Is it any wonder that I've been back four times in the last two weeks? Keep up the great work!"

"As it was my birthday me and a friend thought it would be a nice treat to get a takeaway after work. We placed our order over the phone and requested to collect it so that we could receive the 10% off the bill which I saw advertised online. We also asked out of interest if they would offer anything complimentary as it was my birthday. The person on the phone asked what I liked to drink to which I replied Prosecco, he then began to laugh which made me think that that was too much to ask for and he would've expected me to just ask for a beer or glass of wine. It wasn't until we were about to leave the restaurant after paying and collecting our order that the man lifts up a bottle of champagne and gives it to us for free! This was a wonderful surprise that went beyond expectations and made us leave with smiles on our faces. The food was very tasty and filling also and overall it was a great end to my birthday. We will most definitely be back!"

"This was our first visit to this restaurant which is about 5 minutes walk from Chatham Station. There is a varied menu and plenty of vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had difficulty in making our choices, but the waitress made recommendations. The food was delicious and the portions were generous and it was excellent value. "Difficult to describe really: 1. In my experience the food has always been delivered quickly, thought perhaps a little too quickly as I once ordered while on my way home, website claimed delivery would be in an hour but I got a call saying they were outside my house within 15 minutes. 2. The kebab meat, although generally tasty, can sometimes seem a little undercooked, with some of it actually still being pinkish upon closer inspection, and I noticed that whenever I ate it I would soon develop an upset stomach. 3. The saving grace is the sub I ordered from there, which honestly was one of the best things I have ever tasted. (Spicy beef, Chinese chicken, pepperoni and peri chicken <3)"
